Yesterday I had the Slappin Salmon on Buttered Toasted Brioche Bun with Lettuce, Tomato, Red Onion and Cilantro Lime Aioli. The salmon was plentiful and flaky, the Bun was soft, fresh and buttery, the veggies were fresh, lettuce was crisp and the aioli was very tasty! We also tried the Turkey Burger, again served on a Soft Buttered Brioche Bun, Nice size turkey burger patty and fresh veggies to complement. Overall the food was pretty good and tasty, We were not allowed to sit in the establishment. We were given a restaurant pager (buzzer) to notify us when the order was ready for pick up. A few family members made it in last night and wanted to order food while they settled in. The original order for catfish was cancelled as they were out. In their defense it was around 9p so we understood. A second order was placed using the UBER eats app for the 10pc chicken combos. We chose priority to somewhat expedite the order. The delivery was done without issue. The food was tightly sealed and everything was nicely packaged. They may want to get smaller containers as the asparagus was placed in a large Styrofoam box which is a little wasteful. They noted the chicken was hot and well seasoned. The onion rings were crispy. I ordered in Uber Eats and the order did take longer than expected, however, the wait time was well work it. Jerk Lamb Chops with the fried okra as my side was so good!! I had pulled out my own sauce not realizing they would send me (not one but) two ramekins of the jerk sauce which puts me in the mindset of a honey gold, but defiantly delicious a jerked sweet sauce. Visited Flava House for the first time this weekend. After a lot of positive reviews via word of mouth, decided to make a visit. After checking reviews on here as well, the only negative review that was constant was the long wait times. Placed my order via call-in, was told 25min. Arrived exactly 25min later, paid for the order and had to wait an additional 5min(no biggie). My only complaints are the restaurant was extremely smokey due to cooking, very dimly lit, and the floor was extremely sticky. I ordered the Cajun chicken (with shrimp) Alfredo pasta. After the cashier showed me my food, it looked delicious. Once i arrived home, it still looked delicious. There was enough shrimp and chicken compared to the amount of pasta! The food was very flavorful and delicious. This meal was $15... so this will have to be an every once in a while meal. Lol! But another visit will be in the works! read more

I'm not sure what's in the secret sauce, but it was delicious. It has a tangy and sweet flavor to it that added so much more flavor to the food. The jerk seasoning already was tasty on its own but the sauce took it over the top. The jerk (chicken) in the quesadilla was seasoned really well and the cheese was just the right amount. It is really large in portion, so you may not need an additional side. The lamb chops were really tasty. You will definitely need at least 2 sides to get full. The broccoli had your average taste. We did order asparagus with our meal, but did not receive it so I cannot rate that dish; however, they have good food. read more

Flava House is a cool place with great restaurant quality food cooked fresh to order. Inside there's table and booth seating, but I notice many customers do take out. I prefer to eat inside. The menu has more options than other restaurants in the area. There's also a full bar and a game or music are usually playing. They do not have the option to keep an open tab which is ridiculous. If I want to order another drink I have to run my card again and again and again. The ugly: I love supporting black owned businesses so I'm going to try not to be too ugly. I am wondering why there's an industrial fan right next to a booth in the dining area when there is visible central A/C. Does the A/C not work? If you are going to use an industrial fan, can it be placed elsewhere and not right beside the booth where you can't even get to the seat? It's okay to have kids help out around a family business but I was a little unsure who to ask for stuff. The adults working did not have on uniform shirts to indicate they were a worker. I came to get my 20 piece wings replaced because I got all drums except 5 flats. I hate that so I called. I only eat the flat and my husband eats the drums. It's been that way for 9 years. So I call the store. The manager told me why didn't I ask the cashier to make sure that it was 10 flats and 10 drums. I said I've always assumed it was common sense to give half and half. If you have to pay extra for all flats or all drums then what's the point of the extra fee. He said they just grab chicken. They don't look at what it is. That is the stupidest thing I ever heard of in my opinion. Then the manager (a young light skinned dude) said that I was inconveniencing him by remaking it. He said they will do it this time. I felt like he didn't want to do it. I had a long day and I gotta drive all the way back from highway 64 to get these redone, but I am inconveniencing him. Well I went back and they redid my chicken. It was supposed to be extra crispy. I trusted that my food was good. I was showed the fries and carrots and bread. I ate the fries first and then it was time for chicken. The chicken was piled up so messy. The first tray was neat and dried normal. ( just not hard or crispy like I asked for) Then the chicken they redid for me was super soft like it was baked. I did not want to go back. I am very disappointed because I already had a bad experience there last year when they had that tall dark drunk man working there. I hadn't been back since. I don't know why people don't care about giving good quality customer service anymore. They be all mad at you when you spending your money that you work for at their place of business. The 2 stars are hugely generous. I walked in and ordered and it was supremely overpriced and the wait was insane! I waited about 45 mins for my order. During my wait, the was a drunk gentleman that was shouting at the top of his lungs at every woman that walked in. The staff didn't seem to mind him and encouraged it. I was also soothed to the sounds of way too loud baby making music. It so loud that I had to yell my order. I asked the cashier if the music bothered her.
