I tried Whataburger for the first time on Saturday, April 29th at about 3pm. I stopped here after picking up a rental car. It was the middle of the afternoon; therefore, not very busy -- but this location seemed very organized and the staff was very friendly. The food was great. It is some of the best fast food, and I believe better than other fast food competitors. I had the Jalapeno and Cheese Whataburger. It was so fresh and delicious. The fries were average in my opinion. I would definitely return again and again to Whataburger if they ever expanded to the west coast; however, for now -- I will just have to visit when I am visiting a location with a Whataburger. read more

This Whataburger can be a bit slow in moving cars through their drive through area. Last time I went, I ordered a combo meal and asked for Sprite. Before my food was handed to me, I took a sip of my drink, it was just water. Yuck!! So after they handed me my food, I politely ask for my soda instead. Unfortunately there was no apology for the mix up, just a correction that they don't serve Sprite. Ok 7 up, Sierra Mist, whatever. They know what I meant. Goodness, it isn't about being right, just say my pleasure and make a small switch happen. You know what we call that customer service and a bit of appreciation. Boom. The food is always fresh with very heaping portions on everything. The prices are fair as well. The other day I bought their chicken stripes and asked for the Jalapeño Ranch sauce. Whataburger is Whataburger. Always hot. Always fresh. And always made to order. This morning was my first time to try breakfast, ordering the #25 Honey Butter Chicken Biscuit. My feelings are mixed on this. The biscuit was nothing special. The chicken tender was large, hot, and moist. The honey butter was delicious but there was only a smattering on the biscuit not providing much relief to the dry biscuit. Had this had more HB it would have been perfect. I'd give it zero stars except for not an option. This location has been here around 6years. When it first opened it was amazing. Now there is a bunch of teenagers and drug addicts up there. There is no customer service no customer satisfaction and the food is terrible. Fries cold, greasy and over salted, way over salted. I live here and the entire food ind here in Gainesville has gone down hill. However up until the last few weeks it was hit or miss. As far as fast food burgers go, good luck topping our Whataburger. Though only offered in Texas, it's definitely a stop for a quick bite if you can't decide on anything else. However, my experience at this particular location has been less than spectacular. When I walked up to order, they asked if I wanted the A1 thick and hearty. Not a bad thing, it's common for stores to try and sell the new special at the time. However, I put in an order for a Double Meat Whataburger. Pretty straightforward, but when I received the receipt it noted the A1 burger. I ended up receiving my original order, but there's a definite price discrepancy between the two. I asked about it and they RIPPED MY RECEIPT (see picture). The small 30 cent difference isn't a huge deal to me, but this struck me as uncaring and unethical. Be wary of this location! read more

Whataburger was a nice place to visit while I was in Dallas. I don't get why people compare it to In n Out, because they are completely different. Don't get me wrong, they are both good as standalone burger joints but I don't think they should be compared to each other. I got the jalapeño cheese burger and my friend got the sweet and spicy bacon burger. These burgers are HUGE and they're very flavorful. I love that they bring the order to your table along with condiments. I was surprised to see they had spicy ketchup, which unfortunately didn't have much of a spicy level to it, but was worth trying. My friend's sweet and spicy burger was more sweet than spicy and was a bit disappointing to her, but my cheddar jalapeño burger tasted great to me. Mine offered just the right amount of spice from the jalapeños and wasn't at all overwhelming. I decided to order some onion rings too because, why not? I frequent Whataburger in Kaufman TX, 34 exit off hwy 175. The floor is slippery wet or dry, the wet floor sign is always there. I slipped on the wet floor and broke my foot in 2 places and my 1 in my leg. I filled out a accident report at that time. No one from Whataburger has even called to ask if I'm alright. I am 60 year's old and support my Daughter Granddaughter and 2 Great Granddaughter's. I was told they are not responsible for my hospital bills because of wet floor sign, it's cheaper than fixing the problem with the slippery floor. Bloodless Soulless Beurocrats. There was a really long line (and previous experiences told me that the line takes a really long time) so I decided to go inside since all I wanted was an order of fries. It was 11:15pm. Inside dinning is typically 24 hours, but the doors were locked. I asked the people that were eating inside to open the door for me. A staff member immediately came up and closed the door to say they were closed. I asked them if they had a sign that said inside dinning was restricted hours and as he was answering he shut the door in my face so I couldn't even hear what he said. I checked all the doors and windows, they have no sign that talks about restricted hours. Super disrespectful. read more

I want to share a small but yet BIG experience I had at this restaurant today. I, like most these days, ordered via the app for curbside pickup. On my way home, I had a few negatives that happened that I was just over it and wanted to eat. I live a block away from the restaurant. When I got home, my little chihuahua was so excited because she was getting French Fries, I noticed my fries were not included. I debated whether I wanted to drive back to the Whataburger but after seeing LILO's stunned face when I told her they forgot the fries, I had to go. Upon my arrival, I went ahead and went into the restaurant. As much as I was trying to avoid indoor places, I went in. I explained that they had forgotten my fries. They immediately wanted to remake my meal with hot fresh fries. I didn't want to waste food so I asked them what happens to the burger and if they didn't mind that I take it with me to give to a homeless person. They said that Whataburger lets their customers take the first order of burgers home because they automatically make you a fresh meal and explained to me that this is how they fix their mistakes. I was like "aaw. Thank you." And I again asked if they didn't mind that I would be giving the first burger to someone in need. They quickly made a new set a fries for the first burger, added the condiments, and folded the bag nicely. They were so professional and friendly. Frances is awesome. I didn't get the other's names but they truly have a Whataburger Texas culture. It took me 30 mins in this heat to find someone. I was starving but I knew that I could wait to eat because someone else has eaten far less than I have in the last 24 hours. I found a homeless man on Congress Avenue and 10th. I called out "Sir. I had Whataburger for the first time today, and it just happened to be right after I ate In-N-Out this week. I had the double-meat whataburger, which is nothing special. The food tasted like any average burger would taste like. The fries were average too, but the spicy ketchup is definitely better than normal ketchup. In terms of service, it was all great until the end. While I was finishing up my last fries, a waiter came over and asked if I was done.
