I was craving Whataburger's biscuit and gravy, so stopped at Whataburger Restaurant #803, Fort Walton Beach Florida. Instead of going through the drive through, I decided to walk into the restaurant. The employee who took my order was courteous and friendly. What I noticed about the food preparation was stunning. The employee was making about 12 or so breakfast taquitos. She had the flour tortilla resting directly on the medal prep station. I do not know Whataburger's prep procedures, but I do not think placing a tortilla directly on the medal prep station is correct. I saw her place a wrapper down on the prep station and pick up a taquito off the medal prep station and wrap it. I do not know why she did not prepare the taquitos on the wrapper to begin with. Whataburger location in fort walton Florida just off of Elgin parkway. Me and my family are on a week long vacation from Louisville where we don't have these locations. So we stopped in. On my life previously I had been to a Whataburger location twice. Once in Texas and once in Oklahoma. Both times the food was good but the service was bad and the places were kinda sketchy looking. Th other two literally messed up my order both times. So the franchise was 0 for 2. This location ended the streak. They were very clean and got my order right. Very satisfied. I got the double Whataburger and a large chocolate shake. Very good. Overall my best experience at a Whataburger. We really need to get one of these locations in Kentucky. For years we have came to Whataburger on Christmas Eve. This location stays open until 6pm on Christmas Eve. However, when we arrived at 2:30 PM, ordered our food, we noticed that 75% of the seating in the lobby was blocked off with customers standing everywhere looking for seating because they decided to wet the floors down. There were 4 tables for everyone waiting to eat. The managers response, " they will have to figure it out", responding to one of the employees asking where the customers could sit. What a horrible example of customer service. If you don't want to provide service for your customers then don't open. read more

We should have just turned around when we saw the dirty diaper and wine bottle in the parking lot but we went in anyway. Dog lovers be where! I have a small dog and over two years ago went into this location and asked the manager if dogs were allowed to come inside. I was told yes and for the last 2+ years we have been going there and Finley say quietly, never barks, and just sits there. The entire staff knew him and knew his order...small Justaburger patty only and water. In that time we probably had hundreds of folks come up and pet him and talk to him. Last week I was there with my Grandson and the Manager came up with our order and said someone had written a complaint about a dog so therefore Finley couldn't come inside anymore. I asked why one complaint holds more power than all the people who enjoyed visiting with him? No answer. Also I would like to point out that on several times I have been in there there was homeless individuals just laying across the tables. Finley is 10X cleaner than these individuals. I will NEVER be back at any Whataburger! i encourage all dog lovers to boycott every Whataburger until they come to their senses! read more

The bathroom trash was overflowing, there were used latex gloves on the sink; and the dining room was a wreck (lots of trash on the floor, trash on, and under the seats, and on the tables. It may have been busier earlier, but the place was almost empty. I am writing this as the only seated customer in the restaurant. Good not great. Nothing special about the burger, I had the jalapeño cheeseburger and it was fine. Nothing noteworthy. Actually reminded me of a whopper, and only the bun was different. I might actually prefer the whopper because it's usually a hot patty, but this one was cold all the way through. Not that I eat a lot of fast food, but when I do I want it to be worth it. Literally everything from the fries to the kids chicken nuggets were just ok. Wait I take that back- the ice tea was superb! Mixed sweet and unsweet and it was perfect- I was glad for the bucket sized cup my meal came with for that reason. The chicken pieces were ok, and the sweet and spicy sandwich was great, but for the price I didn't care for. The fries weren't that good and they were too plain, they could use a little more taste to it. It wasn't that big either, it was difficult to fit four people into a booth. The toppings were fresh, the burger was huge (incase you didn't catch that the first time), and I was in burger heaven. The Onion Rings were large, and tasted perfect! Crispy, flavorful, soooo good! The service at this location was AMAZING. Granted we were the only people there when we arrived but the employee there kept checking on us and making sure we were all set, offered to get us refills. There's no place like whataburger so if you're traveling through, you must stop and try one. There's burger king, and sonic which are in the same profile but whataburger comes out on top. I'm originally from the west coast so I'm going to make sure I get my fill before I leave this place. And the fries are way better than sonics. Bk is having a fry identity crisis. My favorite fries are at Church's but you have to drive way to Navarre for that. I never eat catsup on my fries but if that is what makes the burgers so distinctive, ima have to start using that too. They had great customer service. They asked if we wanted cheese and other stuff on our burgers. If it were Wendy's you could say no cheese and they would give you cheese.
