In my experience from my 20yrs in Texas is that Whataburger is an institution. It has NEVER disappointed me in that time....until tonight. I ordered my go to chicken strips and gravy. This is my comfort food that never disappoints....until tonight. The one thing that can kill this dish is the gravy. Tonight the gravy was water. It actually was so thin, that it would not stick to the chicken strip that was dipped into it. Someone at the restaurant HAD to notice that when they put it into the container, something was not right. There is another store near me and maybe that store is the one I need to go to. From the service and quality I have always gotten from Whataburger....I feel a little betrayed. Please work on quality control. read more

This Whataburger has by far the worst customer service I have ever encountered. There is a girl named Steffy that works there and she needs to be fired ASAP. Every time I go through the drive thru there she is with a nasty attitude and doesn't even say hi or thank you. When she does talk she seems to have a chip on her shoulder. She has no business working anywhere that provides some type of customer service. You need to retrain your employees to have a better attitude when it comes to dealing with customers. Man I missed Whataburger. In town from LA and had to stop in. Burger was hot and fresh and delivered to my table before I could even sit down. Frys were warm, but could have been cooked more. Seriously, someone needs to fire the woman who takes drive thru orders during lunch. It's always the same one and she always acts the same way. She's laughing as she asks for your order and then doesn't even listen to what you ordered. She literally said to me "wait what did you want?" She's very unprofessional and it just irritates my day. Occasionally I get a different woman taking my order and she is nice and professional, great customer service. Give her more hours and fire the other one. Sick of her taking my order. It's been months, I cannot believe she still works there. Gets 2 stars only because the food is always good and there was one nice employee. I'm always on the lookout for a good place to have that "most important meal of the day". In Katy, the options are not that expansive. You've got La Madeleine, which I'm becoming disappointed in, and Cracker Barrel, which I have a couple times a month. There is also a Denny's (blech) and a Waffle House, but I wasn't really in the mood for those either. I wanted something different this morning so I hopped in my car and said I'd stop at the first place that made my mouth water. Yes, that place was Whataburger. It's like the un-fast food establishment where they cook it when you order it. So when I thought about my favorite bacon, egg, and cheese taquito or their honey butter chicken biscuit, my mouth definitely was watering. The taquito's are very fresh and moist. I always get the bacon and they load it on with about 3 or 4 strips. My other breakfast favorite is the honey butter chicken biscuit. I don't know if the biscuit is freshly made in-store, but it sure tastes like it! The combo of the biscuit with the honey butter is melt-in-your-mouth good. And, of course, the chicken and honey are great together. The other thing I enjoy about an early breakfast here is that you wouldn't know you were in a fast-food restaurant. You sit down with your number, they bring your food to you along with napkins, condiments and anything else you want. A lady was patrolling the dining area every few minutes to see if wanted refills on our coffee. And after eating, as I sipped my coffee, the cashier made a pass through the dining area and dumped my tray for me. I have a habit of pulling some of the squisher fat off my bacon before I eat and he asked if there was a problem with my bacon and made sure I was satisfied. **update** went back with my husband last night. The service was much faster this time. And the onion rings were perfect!!! Yikes! Service can be hella slow at whataburger. I understand some food takes a while to cook but my last experience at this location was straight up bad. The guy taking the payments in the drive thru messed up and the manager had to fix it. He must have run payment for the wrong order which is weird since this location only has one lane unlike other locations. It took so long to get up to the second window which wouldn't have irked me since I knew he made a mistake but my food was no longer hot. So I waited a super long time and then got cold greasy food. Drive-thru has been destroyed!! Assuming they tried to copy Chick-fil-A,which have the drive-through down to an exact science. First time at this location and I thought the 2 seperate drive thru lanes would be a disaster, but I was wrong. I ordered and pulled forward as instructed and as soon as I passed the order section they walked my drink to my car, went over my order, and took my payment. The wait was a bit long due to them being busy and having to remake the order for the car in front of me, but I didn't even mind because the food is that good. When my order came out, they apologized for the long wait, and as a courtesy they upgraded my fries to a Large and added an apple pie.
