I went through the drive-thru at this Whataburger recently. The line was long, but that was fine -- I expected to wait a bit. When I got my food, the fries were a little cold, but I didn't make a big deal of it. However, when I went to take a bite of my burger, I realized there was no meat on it at all -- just the toppings and bun. I drove back through the line since the inside was busy and explained nicely what happened. The employee told me to pull up to the second window, asked for the burger back, and then took it to the back. A minute later, he handed it back -- the same burger I had already bitten into, with a patty just thrown in. I was honestly shocked. I expected a new burger to be made, not the same one with a bite taken out of it. I've never been to this location before, and this was a surprising and disappointing experience. I hope management addresses this because I usually love Whataburger and have never had something like this happen before. read more

This Whataburger can be hit or miss. I stopped by for lunch last Friday and it was definitely a HIT! I'm so happy that I can leave this positive review! I pulled up to curbside which usually leans more towards the "miss" end and it turned out to be an absolute hit! I was quoted with a "food ready" time of 12:04-12:09. A kind young lady brought my order out to me at 12:03! Woohoo! There have been many times I've had to go into the restaurant to retrieve my order after waiting 10, 20 minutes or so beyond the pickup time and even then they take there precious time getting my order to me. There were times when I didn't get my order all together. But not at all during my most recent visit. She handed me my food and it was hot and fresh. I could feel the heat from the bag and smell the deliciousness. I did think it a little weird that they had the mustard in a cup but put the chili over the Fritos instead of separating it in a cup. Alas, not a problem! The Fritos were still crispy and burger still fresh after the 8 min or so drive it took me to get home. Great job Whataburger! Thanks for this wonderful experience during my lunch break. You delivered everything I needed: swift so I could get back to work, quality so I could thoroughly enjoy your delicious chili cheese burger, and with kindness + a warm smile so I could feel welcomed and know my hard earned money was appreciated. Every time I make the mistake of coming here from a lunch break somehow it takes 25 to 35 minutes to put together a d*** sandwich. As someone who also works in the food industry, I can give a little grace; but come the hell on. It's fast food. I give up. It's overpriced and for what? Quality has gone down and it takes 30 min to get your food. I've gotten stuck in that drive through multiple times because the people in front of me were parked in the waiting area for their food. Dinner was cold by the time I was finally able to escape. I went there about 2am and order a breakfast burger and they gave me a sausage biscuit sandwich that is very dry. Very much not pleased!

Ordered 2 whataburgers with jalapeños and 2 large fries. After sitting in the drive thru for 25 minutes we were brought the wrong order twice( went to the cars behind us) finally got 2 whataburgers with no jalapeños and the sloppiest looking mess I've ever seen and 4 orders of fries. I love Whataburger, but the parking lot of this particular location isn't ideal. The line always backs up to Main and inevitably blocks cars that are parked from getting out. When I stopped in today, the drive thru line was long as usual, but they had an employee with a tablet taking orders which I hadn't seen before. The line was still a bit slow considering you didn't have to order through the loud speaker. When I got to the first window, I thought the employee was going to give me a receipt, but he asked if I had already paid. It seems like they should know that but they didn't. The Pearland area is filled with Whataburgers (four to be exact), but this is the OG one. It's been here as long as I've been in Pearland and it shows. The parking sucks, the building is old, and it is situated right next to a railroad track. It is also the closest one to my house which makes it convenient when I make late night Whataburger runs after a long night out. The customer service used to be pretty great, but recently, the younger generation has infiltrated the workforce and has drastically affected the customer service here. I waited in the drive thru for a good 20 minutes the other day which really prompted me to write a review. The food is hit and miss these days. I know what Whataburger is capable of, but this particular spot is not consistent. I find that the breakfast items are a safe bet though. I'm sure I will be back from time to time, but I will definitely consider going to the other locations or see what I got to eat at home first. read more

This is one of the old school Whataburgers like we grew up with. This location has always served me well, unlike the horror show that is the Pearland Parkway location. This one is out of the way for me, but I'd drive by that other one to go here. The only thing I can think of that could be improved, would be the parking lot. 4 stars because this is the original Whataburger in Pearland and service has always been somewhat decent. You will wait at this Whataburger and the design of the parking lot makes it difficult to get in and out at busy times. However, you will see why. I came at 1 AM and orders a kids chicken strip with gravy and sausage BOB with honey butter on the side. First off, the gravy was creamy and just the right consistency. Not to thick and lumpy like at the one off Pearland Pkwy and Silverlake. The food was fresh and hot. A great childhood reminisce for a college student back at home. Driving through and stop to get a breakfast on a bun, about 10:30 am. Lady takes 5 minutes to bring back change from a 20, all $1 bills. Say something if that's all you've got, I probably could have paid with something smaller. Then, I'm asked to pull around up front to wait. On a BOB. Seriously. It takes a couple of minutes to slap that together. This is the slowest whataburger I have ever been to and I plan to avoid it in the future. Update, it took 10 minutes. This Main St location is a smaller space than what I've seen in most Whataburger joints, and the service, though mind blowingly slow, was polite and cordial. Thankfully it's a Pearland location and not a Houston one, or presumably the late night lines would be much longer. For most locals, a question that often comes to mind is, "what's the big deal?" And that's just it, it's not. This location, along with it's many neighboring cousins is not special, it's just fast food. Fast food served 24 hours a day, breakfast, lunch, and dinner items all available anytime. And it's no secret, Whataburger is terrible for you. But when you're driving a group of intoxicated people or just looking to get fat, Whataburger can do that for you. And this location at Pearland can do it much quicker. read more

This location is really going to crap. Every time I go through the drive-through, they tell me to pull forward and wait, and there's already usually two or three cars waiting for their orders. This particular time, they tried to bring three other orders out to my car that weren't mine.
