Limited-time Bunless chili cheese Whataburger
Jennifer A.

This Whataburger can be hit or miss. I stopped by for lunch last Friday and it was definitely a HIT! I'm so happy that I can leave this positive review! I pulled up to curbside which usually leans more towards the "miss" end and it turned out to be an absolute hit! I was quoted with a "food ready" time of 12:04-12:09. A kind young lady brought my order out to me at 12:03! Woohoo! There have been many times I've had to go into the restaurant to retrieve my order after waiting 10, 20 minutes or so beyond the pickup time and even then they take there precious time getting my order to me. There were times when I didn't get my order all together. But not at all during my most recent visit. She handed me my food and it was hot and fresh. I could feel the heat from the bag and smell the deliciousness. I did think it a little weird that they had the mustard in a cup but put the chili over the Fritos instead of separating it in a cup. Alas, not a problem! The Fritos were still crispy and burger still fresh after the 8 min or so drive it took me to get home. Great job Whataburger! Thanks for this wonderful experience during my lunch break. You delivered everything I needed: swift so I could get back to work, quality so I could thoroughly enjoy your delicious chili cheese burger, and with kindness + a warm smile so I could feel welcomed and know my hard earned money was appreciated. This review would've easily been 5 stars if this was the type of service I receive at every visit but no worries, keep it up and I'll be more than happy to update my review to a full 5 stars.

Lived in pearland my whole life and grew up eating at this location. Since Covid this establishment had went to shit. I'd rather drive to the new one by the beltway and pearland pkwy even tho I'm just down the street. Service sucks, I'm literally writing this review in the drive thru waiting for 30 minutes stuck behind 2 cars.

I love Whataburger, but the parking lot of this particular location isn't ideal. The line always backs up to Main and inevitably blocks cars that are parked from getting out. When I stopped in today, the drive thru line was long as usual, but they had an employee with a tablet taking orders which I hadn't seen before. The line was still a bit slow considering you didn't have to order through the loud speaker. When I got to the first window, I thought the employee was going to give me a receipt, but he asked if I had already paid. It seems like they should know that but they didn't. I usually don't have any issues with my food, however my fries this evening were a bit too salty for my preference.

Breakfast always missing extra ingredients you pay for

I love Pearland, but this location has gone downhill. Employees do not know how to read tickets or fine print. I always pay for extra sausage on my biscuit for breakfast and half the time they never give it to me and I never catch it while I'm there. employees do not know how to read tickets very well . Vary disappointing.

Food is typically pretty good from this location, the employees aren't nice or caring though. Service is important even with fast food.

We had the cutest bartender and my hubby was impressed with how she made his Old-fashion. So much so, he ordered two. Ambiance is coastal themed. Cheese curds are great and they are on the happy hr menu so you can get them for $5. We ordered fish and chips & coconut shrimp w/onion rings. Our best bite was the cheese curds. Everything else was just too greasy, and underwhelming. Still, we will be back because of the bartender. Happy Hr, here we come :)

The food was okay nothing really stood out. I tried the brown butter scallops, and they just tasted like oily scallops. Not too much flavor, but they were cooked nicely. I also tried their avocado tuna taco, and those were a bit weird. The flavors and texture weren't it for me. The inside was kind of mushy, but it did have a hint of yuzu sauce, which made it tolerable. Next, I tried the gumbo with cornbread, and the cornbread with the gumbo was a game changer. It definitely kicked it up a notch. The gumbo didn't have very strong flavors like other gumbos, but I still enjoyed it. Then I tried the fish and chips. The fish was cooked crispy to my liking, and the portion size was decent. However, the fries were a bit too hard and tasted a little stale. The oysters were the last thing I tried and they were pretty decent my favorite was the easy coasts ones. My only complaint with them were the shell some pieces of shell ended up in the meat portion. The service was great too and they have happy hour.

First I would love to say that the hospitality was great, everyone was kind including the…read morecustomers, which gave a comforting vibe especially because it was my first time eating here. The owner was right there on the line working hard with his employees and the ingredients were real and fresh. It took me such a long time to visit this restaurant because the concepts are not something you see often, after the eating the food it's like a spin on cajun, american comfort soul food with a modern day finish. I don't even speak like this, but after this fantastic meal I couldn't help but to let yall know it's worth a try. The first item I tried was the blackened fish jambalaya & it was really good & looked like it came straight out the pan! however i'm used to bland food so the kick from the seasoning took me back some. I then tried their punch and it was so good words can't even explain. Again packed with flavor , sweet and has a tang from what seems to be lemon. Fresh pineapples and strawberries were in the drink as well, I can honestly say it's one of the best 3 drinks i've ever had. If they sold them by the gallon i'd purchase it just to keep in the house. I even added some water to it when it was almost gone and it still tasted good! It mellowed out some of the sweetness, but not the flavor. I also got the Da Justo Sampler and at first it seemed like a lot and kind of overwhelming, but let me tell you it was so amazing. First of all the grilled cheese was exceptional, the best grilled cheese i've ever had. The wings were sweet and spicy and I didn't even need ranch for them, I thought it would ruin the flavor! & I'm a person who eats ranch with everythingg. The mac & cheese is the perfect example of what mac and cheese should be, the fries were okay though, I wish they were crispier but even with that it didn't stop nothing! Everything is still a 10/10. I went back and tried the Jambalaya a little later & again another 10/10, i've never had Jambalaya before so the flavors were so crazy , but I still found myself not able to put the fork down! The portions are very big from those two meals I got i was able to share with 3 other people and we all had nice portions ( i was not sharing that punch tho!). if your sick of your typical generic food options and want something out the box and worth the price or just want a cheat meal that's worth it, Krack Kitchen is your spot!

You order at grill, but when they give you the receipt you have to pay the gas station attendant. Make sure you go back to the grill to show you paid for your meal. Now I will say it took 25 minutes to get our food but it was HOT and FRESH. We got the jambalaya and 10 chicken wings. The wings were crispy and juicy with a lot of seasoning. Everything inside the Jambayla was delicious from the shrimp, to the fish, to the sausages, etc etc. just all super flavorful in general. There are 4 small tables each with 2 seats which I appreciated cause I usually prefer to eat the food fresh rather than eating it in the car/bringing it home. Would definitely come back to try other dishes; but keep in mind that the location of the gas station is kinda not ideal. You'll know what I mean when you drive there. It's hard getting there/getting out. And again food takes a long time, so if you're looking for quick fast food this place is not it, but it is delicious

The menu is extensive, so I'd definitely recommend looking at what you might want ahead of time. We ordered: The salmon sliders which you smelled it when it came to the table. I'm not mad at it, I know what I ordered. It was okay. The chef Tony's gripper wasn't bad, but I feel like the flavors of the burger clash. And that the breaded the chicken like crazy. The chicken wings were good, but a suggestion of keeping the ranch dressing refrigerated and not off to the side. Peach cobbler tacos, now these mfs we bussinnnn lol.. and let's keep in mind that I'm lactose intolerant lol but I had to try just a little to see!! And they were good. The service was regular, the music was R&B and rap and was upbeat and made you want to dance once or twice. (Side note) the store was extremely sticky from the front to the back. Overall if I did come back it wouldn't be in my own dime and I'll probably get wings.

We both look forward to coming back!! 12.20.2026 - First time finally trying this place after passing by during my commute twice a day every single day. OMG what was i stalling for!! I had the Avocado Swiss Burger and Chili Cheese Fries. I LOVE how they had the Avocado slices layered so neatly. I pay attention to details and that made me smile bcz it was so picture perfect. Most places toss random raggedy skinny pieces of Avocado on a burger that make you feel like it's a waste of money paying extra for it. JAX was chef's kiss. My burger overall was juicy, not soggy or sloppy like most places "juicy" is. It was also so full of flavor and each item shined well alone and in harmony together. I love a good chili cheese fries and JAX definitely did not miss. They had the perfect amount of chili and cheese that allowed me to taste both equally with every bite. While other places give tons of chili and only a dollop of cheese, JAX's was very nicely balanced which made it easy to say I'll be back very soon.
