No way to pick up an online order except to go inside. No curbside or drive thru pick up. And they don't start cooking until you arrive, which delays your order and defeats the purpose of an online order. My last name should be Whataburger, I eat here once a week easily. But we were returning from Louisiana and stopped at this location in Winnie and was very disappointed. My order never changes but they decided to change it. I ask no onions and look like they doubled it. The fries were soggy, I had a double fish sandwich and they charged me for 3 fillets, I had chicken strips with 2 extra strips (no included). It just wasn't my night and my bill was 71.00 so I was a little disappointed. Better luck next time I guess. read more

I waited in the drive thru for 20 minutes while 5 cars went ahead of me. This place is pathetic.

Service was fine on my curbside order, but my sausage eggs and cheese taquito was abysmal. The tortilla was dry in places around its edge, the scrambled egg and sausage was very dry, the cheese wasn't melted and my extra Monterrey jack cheese - well let's just say that I'm not sure if it was even in there. The hash browns I added weren't worth the $1.74! I unrolled it in the parking lot and added picante sauce, but with one packet of sauce on it, it was still dry. Yuk. And all of that cost me $6.90 without even a drink. Not recommended!!! read more

Whataburger quality has been hit and miss (mostly miss) the past couple of years. Dry burgers, barely warm, with non-melted cheese, all too common. After a good experience in Corsicana last month, I pulled into this one in Winnie, with my fingers crossed. Yuk. They stunk it up. Dry. Not hot. Cheese not melted. Fries barely cooked, mushy and nasty. I always order my cheeseburger with extra onions. The onions on this burger were terrible. Mostly the thin, tough, outer layers of the onion instead of the usual good sweet and juicy chopped onion I'm accustomed to. I was already headed down I-10 to Houston, or I would've gone back in and showed them the bad food. Pitiful. read more

I feel like I'm going to get heat for this BUT the food wasn't half as good as I was expecting it to be. I was disappointed after driving 23 hours that it wasn't a great experience. The burger was good but pricy for what it was... I think I'm going to go back and try it again this weekend with different menu items and see how it is. The assistant manager took our order and nothing about it was right. My daughter cannot eat onions and she had onions. My other daughter got ranch instead of gravy with her what were suppose to be chicken strips but instead she got chicken bites. My third daughter got zero fries with her burger. This store is a new one, the old WB torn down a year or so ago. We decided after a long full day of visiting the nearby parks to eat dinner here. Wow, this particular Friday night it was PACKED, as if all residents were coming to eat at the same time. We stood in line for about 15 minutes and we both got Whatameals. The young lady taking our order was either new or not listening, it took another ten minutes to order, which usually doesn't happen ( we eat a lot of Whataburgers). We noticed several people standing by the counter with meal sacks, they were bringing back food because their orders were wrong. We waited another 25 minutes before our food arrived at our table. Very unusual. Our orders were correct and the food was fresh and hot but good grief, this is a fast food place! Not so fast tonight. The restrooms were also badly in need of attention. Dirty sink, paper on floor, one toilet stopped up. Ewww! We will chalk this experience up to the restaurant being slammed and unprepared. Total for a Number 1 and a Number 2 was $14.20 no tip required. read more

My first visit to a Whataburger ended up being a fantastic experience. The customer service was excellent and I enjoyed the touch of bringing the food out to you after you've ordered. I ended up deciding to try the patty melt which ended up being just a bit better than one would expect from a fast food chain. The fries that come along with the sandwich area also pretty decent. Overall the thing that takes this place from 3 stars to 4 is the customer service. It's something I'm not accustomed to seeing at a fast food chain and it was quite refreshing to see. read more

Everyone here is really nice and friendly. Nobody is yelling back orders like other fast food restaurants. Very clean and so are the bathrooms. They get the orders out quick. Can get busy at lunchtime though, especially because it's near a highway. My whataburger Jr. was awesome, and the fries were hot out of the fryer. I also got a chocolate milkshake and it was to die for. Gotta love Whataburger! Just like you like it! read more

As far as fast food goes, this is one of the tops! Due to holiday, got take out last night and breakfast in this morning. They were great about my request to leave off the bun both times and included a personal sauce cup for the condiments without even having to ask. One painfully nice young woman went out of her way to make sure I felt welcome. It was a very clean restaurant and a nice stop on a 24 hour marathon drive from Los Angeles to Baton Rouge. Just passing thru. Got fuel at the Burger King fuel station next door but drove the extra 1 minute to get an actual good and fresh burger. Not disappointed. Cashier at drive thru was super nice. Tasted great. No problems. Plenty of napkins and condiments were put in my bag. read more

I should have known that somewhere there is the worst Whataburger. I found it here. If you wanted to give Whataburger an enema, you would put it in here. First, they shut down the drive thru because they were too inept to handle the traffic. Service was horrible, they couldn't get anything right, and after waiting 30 minutes I got my "fast food" burger, the moron gave me the bag and told me my lemon pie would have to be cooked which would take another 7 minutes. I said just give me my Money I back on the pie and she left the cashier area and walked to the back. I took my burger and left. I got in the car, drove away, and ate the burger which they left the cheese off of but charged me for. I can't believe Whataburger lets this place stay open. Absolutely heroic effort by short staff helping about a zillion customers, juggling drive-thru with dine-in and generally doing a fantastic job. Food was great, service was way above average for the number of people. As an aside, everybody in Winnie seems to have the same hairstyle. Five stars. read more
