The coffee is excellent I got the Sammy which is a coffee with honey if you like something sweet. My family tried their expressions and mocha and loved it. Very underrated coffee roaster in San Antonio. They have really unique coffees, and let me exaggerate "COFFEES." Their selection is huge and the flavor is always consistent. I always get my coffee bean fix from here, usually ordering a couple pounds at a time. My favorite is their Costa Rica and Ethiopia coffees. read more

The atmosphere is great!! I came here to study and read, and it was super chill. The latte I had was delicious. I also bought some beans that they were able to grind for me. One of the employees was asking me questions about what I like in coffee as she was helping me decide on which coffee beans to purchase. The one I settled on was perfect as I made it at home. I love the pinball arcade that they have, it's so unique to a coffee shop. And I loved the cats that live there too. read more

Had an excellent experience here. The staff was awesome and helped me find some good beans, especially since I have never made espresso myself. I picked up two half pounds of coffee, one to use in a drip machine and another in an espresso machine, for $10 and some change. What a great deal! The beans I got to use in the espresso machine were amazing in a latte, they even grounded the beans for me. The drip coffee was also awesome. I will definitely come back! read more

They were very helpful in elaborating on and suggesting coffee beans to purchase as I am totally new to the coffee realm. Also very kind and generous. I purchased a half pound of mexican altura and they threw in a quarter pound of vienna as a surprise likely due to my deciding between the two since it was my first time. I really like this place. Spent a lot of time at the airport over the course of a week and this the highlight of each morning. Visited the coffee bar for drinks a few times and left with a pound of amazing beans. Helpful staff who did not seem to have the coffee snob ness that I've ran into at other coffee establishments. I was excited today to try a new coffee shop. After passing up 4 coffee shops, I finally arrived. I went in and was glad to see only one person in line in front of me. Ten minutes later, she was still patiently waiting for her order to be taken. So was I. Then 3 persons came in who were friends of an employee. Their orders were immediately taken. Love this place. I've visited a bunch of local coffee shops, but this one is at the top of the list for me. From the various beans you can buy, to the roasting area in the back, to the pinball, this joint has it all. You will not find a better mocha. Want a pour over? They'll pour you a delicious cup of whichever bean you'd like. Not to mention, the staff is always extremely friendly and helpful. Swing by and grab a cup (or two) and play some pinball. The first time I learned out about these people was when I went to the Pearl Farmers Market on a Saturday morning. I had a cup of their coffee and I thought it was pretty good. Then a week later, one of my favorite coffee shops tells me that they get all their coffee from here and that I should try it. I made a trip out to the random address where their store is and I can tell you that it changed my life. The store is just a place to pick up fresh roasted beans but the coffee is the best in San Antonio. We picked up several different pounds of their coffee and every single one of the were amazing. Our friends love this coffee, we give away their coffee as gifts, and I take it to my coworkers all the time. I used to honestly be the person who bought Starbucks 24/7 and in the last few months I maybe have gone a time or two just to read a book and get a drink. Do your self a favor and try their coffee. You will notice a huge difference in the favor, because it is so fresh, and the options are endless. What's also cool is that this family owned business really is a family owned / run business; one of the son's helped us one day and this teenager knew more about coffee than most baristas combined Don't take my word for it but give it a shot and let me know what you think. read more

I buy a cup of coffee from them every time I go to the Pearl Farmer's Market. They serve the only French roast that I've had that I like. I also usually leave with a 1/2 pound of one of their fresh roasts. Yesterday I found their brick-and-mortar business, which as it turns out is just around the corner from my house! I walk in and see a couple of long rows of bins filled with a myriad of different coffees, some listed by varietal others by the roast. I opted for a half-er of Tanzania Peaberry. They also see loose teas by the ounce so I picked up a couple of ounces of lavender mint tea for my wife. Their prices are very reasonable given the quality and freshness. You can bet that I'll still buy cups of coffee from them when I'm at the Pearl on Saturday mornings, but I'll be going around the corner to more often than that to get my coffee for home! read more

San Antonio has a wonderful business in this roaster in case you didn't know! I know I didn't, though apparently the staff has bee. Toaster for about 40 years! You local are lucky so if you're really into coffee it's a must stop. Forgot to ask when they roast the beans but I got a 1/2 pound of the Tanzania Peaberry and 1/2 pound of Yirgacheffe and both are very fresh. There are a lot of pinball machines here and a lady was there promoting her all female pinball team! I'd definitely join if I were local. I also tried the Sami latte and it was very good, no additives needed. There was even a tasting room off to the side! Parking can be a bit tricky especially since you are essentially backing right out into the towns and potentially into oncoming traffic, but I'm sure the locals are used to it. I'm from flat as hell Louisiana and was unprepared for the hilly roads we encountered. I'll definitely be returning to try some other beans next time. read more

What an amazing place.. Sami, the owner, provided exceptional customer service and valuable information on virtually everything there is to know about both coffee bean properties and the best way to prepare them. Upon walking in we were greeted with a smile and offered a very educating tour of the roasting facility. I ended up leaving with a half pound of Guatemala beans and a half pound of their special combo beans. Let me say, after a quick cycle through my burr grinder and a 1 minute steep & press in my aeropress, I am making the greatest coffee I have ever had every single morning... in my own kitchen. We'll be coming back for years to come, this place is fantastic. read more

Wow, just wow. Hidden gem dose not begin to describe this place! First off this places looks ecstatically pleasing from the second you walk in. It has a classic vibe but with pinballs.
