You better believe this small shop merits five-stars. With stock loudly clattering to the floor as an employee worked on a display this shop merits five stars. Why, you ask? Yes, the gentlemen who made a point of letting us know he was available to help us find something was friendly and soft-spoken. It's always a plus when staff make sure they acknowledge your presence with a nice greeting. Was it seeing the same exact cheese slicer that I just bought off Amazon last week? Well, a bit maddening but not really it. It was finding two cookbooks my wife and I haven't seen anywhere else. For my wife it was the kind she'd been looking for, a muffin cookbook, Do You Know The Muffin Pan? (what a great title) with a wide range of creative and original ideas spanning savory to sweet, from appetizers to dessert. For me it was finding a Mexican cookbook I didn't know I needed. Now, I've been a Danny Trejo fan a long time. Seen him in the movies and on TV. I knew he owned a popular Mexican restaurant in L.A. because he's guest judged on numerous TV cooking competition shows. But finding his cookbook, Trejo's Tacos, just gave me all the recipes I've always wanted but have never seen anywhere else--at least the way his restaurant prepares them. So, for the joyful experience of culinary discovery alone this store merits five stars. Oh, what was maddening about finding that cheese slicer was that I'd have preferred to have bought it from a local merchant instead of online. At least we bought the cookbooks. read more

I love this shop, they have a wonderful selection of quality kitchen items including Mason Cash Ceramic bowls made in Portugal which can be hard to find. Their priced are reasonable In the sales personnel are friendly and very helpful. read more

If you know me, you know I can't resist a good kitchen shop. In fact, whenever we travel I make a point of seeking one out to buy a souvenir I can enjoy in my own kitchen back home. So I was more than thrilled to come across What's Cookin' on a recent outing to Port Townsend. This bigger-than-it-looks-on-the-outside shop is literally FULL of anything the gourmet could need (and of course, many specialty items we don't necessarily need but WANT very badly). Their prices were sorta spendy, but I sought out the bargain table and grabbed a couple of Christmas clearance items to take home. We also enjoyed one of their lovely chocolate bars on the ferry ride back across the pond. Oh and they have a great assortment of cookbooks too! read more

my husband , daughter and I went in to check it out, the displays looked lovely and we wanted something special to take home to Nevada. As soon as we entered the woman behind the counter snapped at my husband to put his mask over his nose. She was unnecessarily rude... needless to say it wasn't much of a greeting. He walked out without saying a word. My daughter and I decided to give it a chance as it was one of the few shops open. The woman then proceeded to tell me I needed to put my mask over my nose as well. It was already over my nose....I assume she wanted it higher but my nostrils were covered. She never said welcome. She never said please. She never smiled. She just barked at us as though we were horrible people, unworthy to be in the store. We left immediately, very disgusted. It doesn't take a lot to be nice, to use manners. Find another shopkeeper. read more

The quartz looks…read moregreat, it was cut well to the shape of my kitchen, and the seam between 2 countertop pieces is practically invisible. The process from enquiring to ordering was very straightforward and easy to engage with. I was able to go and view the quartz prior to them cutting it to shape. The only road bump we hit was with installation. For the most part it was a good installation job, but it turned out that one of my cabinets was a bit higher than the others, which wasn't visible with the old counters. The installation team pointed out to me that they had to put an additional piece of wood under the counter in that location, but they didn't point out that it then made that counter higher than the others, and I didn't see that when they showed me. I only noticed the height difference after the installers left. My feedback is that I would have liked the installers to have been more explicit about this height difference before they glued the quartz down. I was relying on Integrity Stonework to be the experts for this installation, so trusted that they would point items like this out. After the installation, I had to pay an additional company to come in and remove the countertop to adjust the cabinet before gluing the quartz down again as Integrity Stonework did not offer to come and fix it, despite my request to them to make good on this. To be fair, the installation team did point out a different issue with countertop leveling in a different part of the kitchen prior to gluing items down. I think the height differential was just an unfortunate hiccup as part of this journey, so be thorough and ask to check the countertops prior to anything being glued down!

The finished bathroom looks great with no issues. The fixtures, vanity and surfaces chosen by the Lux design crew look great. The installer did a great job, was very courteous and did the job with minimal disruption.

We loved the merchandise in Conservatory Coastal Home very much and really enjoyed the beachy themes that this store had to offer! I particularly enjoyed the large blue glass balls,their small ornamental air plants in glass balls, the chandelier and lamps! The staff here were extremely friendly and very helpful with whatever questions we had. Steve and I have been wanting to do a beach themed room for a very, very long time and were trying to get ideas as to how and what kind of decor we wanted to make that happen. For the longest time we just had bits and pieces for ideas at various stores but at Conservatory Coastal Home we had a good idea about a lot of the things we had in mind for such a room come all together to give us a fresh perspective as to how to go about creating our beach themed room.

The line was long but moved fairly quickly. However, the shape of the cafe doesn't help to make a streamlined queue... it's crowded and a bit confusing as to who's standing to order and who's waiting to pick theirs up. Nonetheless, I was excited to see the options in their pastry case and on their menu. The bigger case had mostly a bunch of quiche and savory options, while a smaller one had sweets. I ordered the salmon quiche because I've never seen that anywhere else so hello, gotta try it! I also got the Arancia (basically an orange mocha) because I love the combination of chocolate and citrus. I appreciated that the worker communicated well and told us the quiche would take 10 minutes to warm up. My husband got an Ethiopian light roast pour over, which was cool to see being made on an apparatus that looked like it had space for about five pour overs at once. Opinions on what we got: Ethiopian Light Roast- Flavorful, just a bit lighter than others I've tried, and it didn't go sour with time. Very good! Arancia- Holy cow this was delicious and I would definitely get it again. Keep in mind, the orange peel was actually in my cup and I was surprised when all of a sudden I was chewing on something and pulled it out of my mouth! But it does say "orange peel" in the description on the menu, so I should've known. Salmon Quiche- A bit pricy but wonderful! The quiche itself was well seasoned, & the salmon was evenly distributed. My only complaint is that the crust was quite difficult to cut with a plastic knife. We were on their patio, so we had to go back inside to grab a metal butterknife (of course we returned it). Tamale Pie- Oh yeah! We left to walk around town then decided we were way too curious about a tamale pie in the case that we were eyeing earlier, so we returned to get that to go. Unfortunately, this was a big disappointment. First off, this was the same price as the salmon quiche but the quality seemed so much worse. It didn't taste good, was unevenly cooked (mostly dry), and the crust was hard as rock. I even put taco sauce on top from a pack we had in the car. It helped to make it taste a little better. Would never get this again, though. Overall, I really enjoyed Better Living Through Coffee and will be sure to return on my next visit to try other quiches and drinks.

My Dad now lives in Sequim Washington, while we, his son and daughter-in-law, still live in California. My Dad is on a fixed income and the ability to find affordable used furniture that is also in great shape has been huge for him. Mike and his wife have always gone above and beyond to help my Dad not only aquire much needed furniture that he can afford, but they also delivered it for him the same day. That means so much to us and too my dad. We highly recommend stopping by and checking out their selection of furniture. Hardy's Mercantile is a very special business ran by wonderful people. We love our Nordland General Store! The fresh organic veggies have been great. Thank you for…read moresupplying the freezer with Aldens organic strawberry ice cream - the best and the lemon ice cream from Elevated is yummy, too. It is so nice to have our store back and I love the convenience of only a mile away. It's also fun to order a Latte and enjoy some time with a friend inside or out. Our Marrowstone Community is so lucky to have NGS and our post office back.

Very cute store. Had the necessities but just a tad pricey. Lots of local items as well.read more
