If it seems a like a super market that's how they do business. I maybe spent 30 seconds with real dentist . which is how they missed the infection and problems I was dealing with. They decided everything was fine and would do the deep root cleaning to avoid infection. they blamed the pain on TMJ. they told me it had to be that.... 3 trips later than a 4th for emergency root canal with another dentist since these dentist at wheatland are not qualified for that kind of care.. if your not in pain and just need cleaning I would still recommend you find someone else . whatever you do. do not seek help if your in pain. you will be very disappointed in your services. they are 2* while I am writing this . not sure they deserve that. a smile without care is not genuine. this place is not genuine. please look for dentist office that treats you like a actual patience. read more

I had bad experience with Soo and Paul. I repaired my broken denture. That was done very well. So, I wanted to make a set of replacement denture. When she was making the molds, the mold got stuck on gum, She pushed hard and the mold got deformed. Later even during the fit test she knew the problem, but she explained at the beginning there are some days I would feel uncomfortable. A week later, I had to see her again because there are big gaps between the gum and the dental. The denture can move, and food can stick on the gaps. She made some patches. I still think the dentures were not make well. The front desk doesn't know how to claim insurance. He said my unsurfaced don't cover denture, or the process time can be 6 weeks. I hate people don't do their job seriously. I want to use this review to push the dental services in small towns get improved. read more

I've gone to this practice for many years. Although they are convenient and I love Dr DeLeon, there have been so many bad experiences that I cannot continue to support this terrible business. The front desk people are so rude and they change every few months. A few of the very long term dental hygienists either suddenly left or were fired last year with no notice whatsoever. During a consult, the orthodontist told my son that she could extract 8 baby teeth ALL AT ONCE just to get him ready for braces. I didn't think that was a great idea, not to mention that it was a total money grab. One dentist pulled my mouth open so wide, the corners of my mouth bled. Now, they sent me to collections for $5.57 that they NEVER told me about. I'm done. Don't waste your time with this horrible place. read more

I like the Dental Hygienists and the Drs (but I get a different Dr. every single time so I think it lacks consistency) but the Office and Billing staff are an absolute nightmare. I have been with this office for five years but the events in the last week have pushed me over the edge and I will no longer be working with these guys. A few years ago, I had my wisdom teeth removed and I paid an hefty upfront fee. A few months later I was going through my insurance dental claims and I realized that the insurance paid Wheatland a lot more than expected and I was owed $700. When I asked the billing staff if they would have paid me back if I didn't call? They declined to answer....pretty sure that they are sitting on $100,00's of dollars of overcharges. Same thing happened with my cavities two years ago. I let it go again. However last week, the billing staff called me and demanded that I pay my sons wisdom teeth removal cost of $1,600.00 that happened 11 months ago (June 2024). I was very confused because this was the first I ever heard of it and Insurance was to pay the cost. I called my Insurance and they told me the claim was not submitted by Wheatland. I called the billing staff and asked to speak to a manager - I let her know that I was not OK with the demanding and demeaning tone of her staff when I was not even aware there was a problem for 11 months. She told me she would conduct an audit and contact me back in a few days (which she did not - I had to call her) Additionally, lo and behold, the Insurance paid the claim in the next few days as it seems Wheatland finally submitted it but according to Wheatland it was the Insurances fault. and guess what? I overpaid again. Wheatland had to pay me back $160. Bottom line....it seems they are habitually overcharging to make more profit. I'm pretty sure people are not checking as meticulously as they should regarding the overcharges and Wheatland is taking advantage of that. Three strikes was it for me....I'm done. My family and I had been going to Wheatland for several years. I quite like Dr. Marasala but feel he's in the wrong office. The office staff is what makes this dental office completely unprofessional and raises ethical questions. My last and final experience saw me waiting over 30 minutes for the doctor to see me-no big issue, as I understand health care providers can fall behind during procedures. But this is where insult to injury intersected. Not only did I have to wait in the waiting room half hour, but when I was taken to the operatory, I was informed by his assistant that he would be minimally another half hour to forty five minutes behind. Well, I told her I couldn't wait that long as it was around dinner time. I just scheduled an exam with Dr. M and told her not to schedule me and to just have the dentist call me to review the treatment plan. She agreed. About a week later, I get a missed appointment charge of $50. I called to explain to the very rude front desk person that there was never an appointment made. As a. matter of fact, I walked out of the office not even stopping by the front desk to do so. Remembering what the assistant and I decided on, I confronted her with this fact. Instead of apologizing for the misunderstanding, she doubled down and claimed that the assistant did indeed schedule an appointment with me. She was basically calling me a liar. So then I asked her, lets get the good doctor Marsala on the phone so he can explain why he didn't call me back, since the staff clearly wasted my evening. Crickets. Not only did he not call me back, but they continued to harass us for the $50. I wanted to ask that clueless dolt admin assistant who fielded the attitude, how about I charge Wheatland $50 for wasting my evening, for which I wasn't even seen? At this point, I feel sorry that this poor associate dentist, clearly overworked due to this DMSO (look it up, corporate dentistry) and likely underpaid, and decided it wasn't worth my frustration for $50. Lastly, don't depend on consistent treatment or to be seen by the same DDS. I had an implant consult with a Dr. Shah (periodontist) who quoted me $1800 for an implant and bone graft. She left the practice; my wife's hygienist also left the practice. This in less than a year as do most others at this circus. They have immense staff turnover, untrained and uneducated staff with no customer service skills, and ....well, just look at the average review here. By the way another oral surgeon at this same office quoted me $4000. Same bone graft, same implant. What can one say? Needless to say, we left the practice and will never return. Do yourself a favor and avoid this unethical cesspool at all costs. For $50, they lost potentially thousands in treatment and a lifelong family. Good riddance. read more

Dr. Marsala is great. That is the only nice thing to say about this place. The billing was a nightmare - always screwing up accounts/charges. My husband waited months to hear about having a procedure done and was assured Wheatlands was handing it with our insurance but we were never followed up with. When I would call, they all were confused what the ask was. This process repeated many times. I had a cavity filled that posed many problems (didn't hurt be ever until it was filled). Went back and saw Dr. DeLeon who told me 'chew on the other side of your mouth'. WHAT?? I ended up needing a root canal and had to see an endodontist 2 times to correct it. Two years later, that tooth is still a problem. The staff is so incompetent, unorganized and lacks the fundamentals to bill accurately. My son saw the ortho who since left the practice. Because their billing is so bad - I opted to pay 1/2 the price of the braces right away, then another 1/4 recently and said I'll pay the remaining when they are removed. I'm still being told I have a balance lol. I can't with this place. Please save yourself the stress and get a referral from someone who has a reliable dental practice. read more

The billing department is a total joke. I received a bill the last week in April 2025, stating I had a balance 60 days outstanding. Was a surprise to me, because this was the first bill I received this year. I went into the office in early May asking when did they send the first original bill. The reception told me via email. Informed her I did not sign up for ebills, and past practices bills were sent via US Postal service. Informed the billing clerk that I will pay the total balance on May 30th 2025 and to note my account. This past weekend I received a final reminder notice dated May 17th 2025 stating I must pay 10 day of the date shown on the letter, or they are going to send me to the collection agency. How are you sending me to an OCA when you have not rendered the first original bill until April, also had a discussion with your billing clerk on the exact date when I'm making the full payment. This happened to me before where one bill was produced that I received, and sent to an OCA for 60 days outstanding, and no manager returned my call and you can never speak with a live billing agent over the phone. I have had dual insurance all my life now all of a sudden I have these surprise charges to pay more out of pocket, when I've paid my deductible, not being able to give me a firm estimate, of their treatment plan prior to the work. From past experience working in collections, normal businesses send customer to the collection agency 120 days, but your establishment send customers at 60 days on the first noticed ever received. My entire family has been coming to this office for the past 10+ years and the lack of communication between the staff and incompetence is baffling to me. The dentists are great! I'm sad to leave them, but I could no longer continue with the awful communication and endless mixing of accounts between my family members any longer. This last time they failed to check my insurance prior to my appointment which I was no longer on my husbands plan and on my own, allowed me to be seen and did not call once to get my new insurance information before deciding to take it upon themselves to file it under my husbands which I'm no longer a part of. Of course his insurance kicked it back rightfully so and they never called to let us know until my next 6 month visit reminder they called and said by the way you're insurance from your last exam didn't go through. Well, I no longer worked for that company and was back on my husbands insurance so I had to call the previous insurance and get all the information so they could still file the claim. After endless calls back and forth with a staff who had no idea what they were doing and clearly were not taking notes, I finally was able to give the information to someone and told her if she had issues filing to let me know and I will contact that insurance again. I mean they wanted me to do all the work! Like file the darn claim myself for their error?! Who does that? You're supposed to be a well oiled machine! Long story short they never filed the claim, and I am now getting calls from a collections company only this time it's for my husband. They sent him to collections for my date of service. I get help is hard to get these days, but it your front office and back office lacks experience than you really need to use a better talent search service. Dental practices are all over the Naperville-Aurora area and if you don't care if you lose business, than that is just plain bad Management. I don't know what has happened since my son started going to this location. Everyone was very nice and attenuative to the needs of the patient. Unfortunately, this is not true for the last year. Which is very disappointing. My whole family goes to this location for ortho and regular visits. The front desk staff have been unprofessional by standing around, having attitudes, and goofing off more than they are able to keep up with patient files. I have had issues with documentation not being noted in my file, major misunderstandings through verbal communications on scheduling appointments, and now I am being told I have a past due amount from 2021 and 2022 for normal visits!!! Also found out today there is an additional fee for putting on braces and the removal of the braces. This was not reviewed with me back when I signed for my son's braces in 2021, I was never told there is an additional fee. It is not in the paperwork I signed nor was it in the paperwork I have recently signed for my daughter's ortho appointment back in Aug. of 2023. I personally for normal appointments have been dealing with notes not being added to my file for the past six months. Normally I would get a printout of what my plan would cover and how much I would owe. Instead, I had to do the leg work of calling my ins. to find out if teeth #4, 14, and 15 are part of my insurance plan. I had to call as the patient to see how much I have spent for the year to ensure I have enough to cover my treatment plan. This office is completely failing at overall performance because there seems to be high turnover at this location. Always someone new at the front desk and someone new scheduling appointments. The doctors are amazing, but the office is horrible. This is a waste of my time and money to keep coming to this office for appointments when there is lack of ownership when mistakes are made and when you are being told that it takes a while for the insurance to review the work that has been done on your teeth. Why did it take over two years to let me know I owed money for as often as I go in for appointments for myself and my family. My recommendation is to never go to Wheatland Dental. They are a joke and don't entrust what you are being told when it comes to your bill. Good luck to those who will risk it. Honestly if I could give then no stars, I would. I have been a patient at Wheatland Dental for roughly 20 years and can say that Dr. Sharfaei is a wonderful, caring and professional dentist who has completed literally thousands of dollars of work in my mouth. However. There is a new girl running the office who is an underqualified, combative disaster. I emailed her looking for help in obtaining treatment plans. I explained to her that I had been calling the office for the past 8 months asking for treatment plans and her immature, unprofessional response has blown me away. It's sad to see someone struggle so badly in their job and this girl needs help in a big way. I actually had to ask her to stop emailing me but the poor thing just can't help herself and refuses to stop sending snarky emails to me. My best advice is to STAY AWAY from this office. read more

Last month, I came to Wheatland Dental to have an annual dental cleaning. In the end of the cleaning, a dentist pointed out that two of my teeth had some chip out and need to fill. I agreed. But this became a nightmare. I was too easy to let a young dentist I had no prior treatment experience to do the job. I just thought a dental filling should be very easy that any dentist would do. I was totally wrong. Somehow, this dentist made a deep drill that hurt my nerve. Once the numb was gone, I felt pain and sensitive on one filled tooth. It got worse the next day. I then went back to see her. She told me that this kind of discomfort was normal and could last for months or a year. She also teased that it may be a good thing to use the other side of the teeth. I am quite upset. I never have had such discomforts and pain with my previous filling experience. I think what she said is totally unprofessional and irresponsible!! After one and half month, that filled tooth is still sensitive and discomfort like a hell! Looks like I have to go through an expensive root canal to fix the problem. read more

Dr. Marsala is very patient and takes his time to explain options. He is not pushy and has never said you have to do this or else. I believe he is very knowledgeable in his field, so I trust what he is saying. He had chances to sell me on higher costs services and did not. I understand how dental practices and other medical practices make money (for example my ob/gyne offers cosmetic vaginal procedures and shots) so I won't fake any outrage at attempts to get patients to try them. It's not outrageous. It's what they do. I decline it all. And go about my day. I will add that I have pretty good teeth (I am blessed) and don't get offered much outside of what I came for. I have had very few cavities mostly from when I had braces, never had root canals, and no broken teeth. I do understand things may be different for people with more complex issues. read more

There are constant billing/ insurance issues and the office staff and manager (Keven) are not qualified to assist. I have been told that no one can help because everyone is new and they haven't had the proper training. I wanted to take the time to give an amazing review to DR. CHEYENNE SUAREZ and her assistant hygienist Alexis. I had the opportunity to take my son Parker to this office as a new patient I walked in to a welcoming staff and considering my son was there for 2hrs and a bit inpatient Alexis made him feel comfortable by making sure his favorite show was on entertained all conversation with him assisted in calming him while he was being treated by Dr. Suarez who is truly a gem. Dr. Suarez went over a treatment plan in detail answered all of my concerns. The procedure was Painless and they both had amazing bedside manners. Although my 5 year old son was afraid and of course worried about his face being numb which he has never experienced he personally told me he wants to go back which is a great sign. I highly recommend them both and I will continue to take him there for dental care. After searching and calling over 10 offices for pediatric dental services offices to render their service for months with no luck and not being offered anything closer than 2 months out I'm glad I found this one.Wheatland dental offered me an appointment within days and the care was top notch which I truly appreciate. read more

I wish I could rate zero...avoid this dental office unless u like or want to be ripped off...my husband got periodontal treatment with the estimate was $4850..we agreed n took the treatment..after that ,we received the bill $1250 more .they could not explained to us and kept saying the price we were quoted was only estimate...what a joke..such a big discrepancy with no explanation.. This place was ok until they scheduled an emergency procedure on 11/08/2019 for my husband and failed to tell him that the provider was out of network. 25mins before the procedure, I called and asked them why my husband was having to pay $3746.80, and that's when I was told that the provider was out of Network. My husband went ahead and went through with the procedure because he was in a lot of pain. He paid the said amount with his credit card. Left the office and needless to say, we moved to a more honest dental practice. Except 7 months later, we get another bill for $536!!! For a procedure done 7 months prior. I have been going to Wheatland Dental since 2005, and every-time I go to this place I feel "bullied" into extra services. They intimidate you with scare tactics, make you feel like you're getting a death sentence if you don't do their recommendations. I went today for a routine cleaning (Which was not done by the way) and left with a future appointment for a different procedure not covered by my insurance. I was concerned, and upset with my visit. I shared the experience with a friend. My friend advised me to get a second opinion and check their reviews on Yelp; glad I did, my feelings are confirmed, no confidence in their diagnosis... I'm cancelling my appointment, and getting a second opinion. I also feel they are over priced for their services; more importantly, they max your insurance benefits forcing more out of pocket payments for additional services. They make you pay what they "think" your insurance won't cover and there are always discrepancies, and additional bills sent out for more money. I don't trust their recommendations anymore at all. I don't like all the extras they push on you. Also, you never know what dentist will be there for your exam. Time for a new dentist ... Take my advice and AVOID at all costs. Do not be tempted to go here because it is close. I came here only because my dentist left private practice, came here, then went back to teaching and I stayed. They are nothing more than a corporate billing machine. High turnover in the front office is a sign of challenges. Everything they do is billed and often you wind up with unexpected charges. Last time I wanted no more than insurance covered, the dentist walked in and when the tech advised her, she walked out without so much as a hello. My March appointment was cancelled and rescheduled for July, and now advised (a week before the next appointment) the dentist left...could have told me that in April but were not up front. I have moved away from the area, so need longer notice to reschedule. I had pre-paid so kind of stuck. Now just going to cut my losses and move forward with a new dentist. Please consider any other dentist- look at other reviews, and if you want honest, caring dental service please consider a smaller practice that provides individual service. read more

I used to live in Naperville and I loved these people. I moved away in 2015 and they are still my favorite dental practice. I have 9 implants and a number of root canals so I am familiar with various practices in various locations because I move quite often. I was home visiting and had a from tooth break. I went in and they went directly to work helping me out. I saw Dr Nidhi Shah and she was able to use the existing bone to place an implant saving me 4 months of healing and about 2,000 $. This was a first for me and needless to say I a very happy. I plan to fly back from Florida for dental work in the future !! read more

I've been going here for about 3 years now for cleanings and I always feel like they tell me I have a million cavities and need some extreme treatment. I started going to wheatland dental and seeing Dr. Sharfei (idc if that's spelled wrong) way before their fancy new office on 111th and 59. 20 years ago when I first started seeing him, I was 9 years old and he was a dentist trying to make it. Over time, the money started coming in and his ego began inflating until it finally knew no bounds. I'm a clinical researcher in pediatric cardiothoracic surgery at a prestigious medical center downtown Chicago with an MS in Biotech. I'm far from the idiot he makes me out to be in our conversations as of late. Due to some issues I had with opiates YEARS ago, he is one of those doctors/dentists that's the core of what's wrong with medicine today and his actions directly contribute to the ferocious cycle that's the opioid crisis in our country...not because he's too liberal with them, quite the contrary...instead he believes anyone with any history of opioid use disorder should be denied any and all pain relief no matter what (even if it's full blown oral surgery). Now, I work with some of the most intelligent and skilled surgeons in the country and I know half of what he says is bullshit. It's like when the government uses national security as an excuse to take away your rights. Fact of the matter is everyone deserves pain relief and in cases like mine, you shouldn't be denied it altogether but instead, should be carefully monitored and not be given excess to take home. But leaving someone In pain who is allergic to NSAID's (ibuprofen for instance) and can only stomach Tylenol after surgery if not offered actual pain meds is flat out unethical. Furthermore he tried to push NSAIDs on me anyway even though it clearly says it gives me ulcers. He's a person that cares more about his license and the red tape then he does his patients--even those he's been seeing for two decades, before anyone knew his name. He has become a disgraceful dentist and a deplorable person. I have stopped going to wheatland and implore others to do so as well. read more

I do not trust this place. I have been going here for about 2 years. While I have had some dental issues, today was the final straw. They told me that I needed 4 teeth pulled and basically made it sound like it was a life or death thing. I have felt for quite some time that they are constantly trying to get you to have extra procedures. It seems like everytime I go in, they are wanting to do x-rays, regardless of how long it has been since I had them. Today it was a whole new host of tests, x-rays and procedures. Some of the hygenists are nice and very professional. Some of them are rude, distracted and downright patronizing. I've been going here for a year and a half, and always leave in a fighting mood. The only reason I haven't found a new office is because I am likely moving out of state within the next year. I am giving them 2 stars because I did have a positive experience with Dr. Marsala recently. My usual dentist, Dr. Snow, was out. I'll be asking specifically for Dr. Marsala if I do need to go back. The bad experiences... Where do I begin... In August 2013 I had two fillings done. Several weeks ago (Aug 2014) one of them broke and fell out. I went in to get it fixed. They charged me full price. I found out later that if it had happened a few DAYS earlier (in less than 1 yr), it would've been fixed for free. Two weeks later I was back for a cleaning. I mentioned that I'd started to feel pain on the other side of my mouth. Turns out the OTHER filling from Aug 2013 was cracked and ALSO needed to be removed and re-filled. I had it fixed today and was not charged, because I had made a big stink about it when they found it. These are not the only negative experiences I've had here. Before you have any fillings or other work done, make sure to check what your insurance expects in terms of coverage if the work lasts less than two years. Many insurance companies will not fix a filling before two years. Wheatland Dental only covers up to a year. That leaves you with a battle if the work breaks at a year and a half. I'm sad to hear that others have had such a bad experience with this office. I had the completely opposite experience, but perhaps it was because I only went to them for one specialty procedure instead of as my consistent dentists. I went here to get my two bottom impacted wisdom teeth removed. I went on a Friday morning for a consultation, and it turns out they had an opening the next day and could squeeze me in. This was a god-send, as my teeth had been bothering me for over a year. I wanted them out as soon as possible! Dr. Raza Hassan was the one doing my surgery. We chatted for a while about my teeth and just general small talk. He definitely made me feel comfortable before undergoing the procedure. I would highly recommend him! I arrived the next morning at 8am, and the staff was extremely kind and professional. The surgery ended up taking longer than necessary due to some complications, but everything ended up fine. When I woke up from the anesthesia, the staff stayed with me for 30-45 minutes making sure I was okay and easing me off the medication. They explained the care routines to me, and made sure I was okay. After my surgery, Dr. Hassan called once a day for a few days after to make sure I was okay. I wasn't able to talk much, but he was able to understand what I was saying. When I ran into some concerns a few days later, I was able to talk to the assistant that supervised on my surgery. She cleared everything up, and even scheduled me for a free post-op appointment. They made sure everything was okay, and answered any question I had. I'm glad to say that I'm fully healed now, and could not be more happy with their work! I would highly recommend them for this procedure. They were a great group of people! read more

Wheatland Dental is a ultra-modern dentistry spot off of 111th Street and 59th in Naperville. Not that decor matters much when it comes to visitin the dentist, but Wheatland Dental's flat screen TVs, chic design, and magazine racks from THIS century is awesome. (Not to mention you're not left to rot away in the waiting room - I only had to wait less than 2 minutes even though I was early, so I could tell that they really valued patient's time!) I went in for an annual cleaning with Dr. Charfe. He actually spent time with me making sure all of my questions were answered before we got started, which really put me at ease since sharp metal things + by my mouth = nerve-racking. Most of the time I walk away from cleanings feeling vaguely abused, by Dr. Charfe was gentle on my gums and it was no big deal at all. I am straight down the middle on this one. I really liked the initial dentist I had- she was very nice, upfront with procedures, etc. Then she disappeared and now she only works one day a week. :( The newest dentist was nice enough. It was the first time I have ever been asked if I wanted a cavity filled without novocaine. (I guess the cavity was "conservative", according to him.) I'm glad I trusted him and went without it- I was in and out within 20 minutes and didn't have to wait for the meds to wear off. I have never had to wait long when I arrive. The staff has been pleasant. They also have an orthodontist on-site, so I was able to make my appointment and do the consultation in the same place. The facility itself could use some upkeep- the chairs were falling apart and the walls and floors could definitely use some attention. In general, I'm not going to throw a parade for the place, but it wasn't a terrible experience, either. read more

I AGREE! DO NOT GO HERE! This facility is interested in nothing but making money. I had a series of visits over five years, and had a different dentist every time. They will not disclose why. My root canal was screwed up and had to have it redone. They wanted to charge me for it too! After much deliberation, they agreed not too. Billing is horrible. I have two policies and they could not bill the second to save their lives. Took them TWO years to resolve. Now, this week, they refused to clean my teeth because of a concern over a heart murmor. This is after she concedes they do not require medication for heart murmors and the doctor I am seeing said I do not require it. What's the problem? If it is that important, then allow your patients to pre-register or ask them on the phone prior to going. and...they screen for sleep apnea? I mean really...stick to dentistry. On the plus side, very clean facilities and they usually run on time. beware though, if you are not, they charge you $40. But I do not get a $40 credit if they are not running on time. read more

Totally messed my porcelain veneers! I'm now walking around with horse teeth and a speech impediment. They haven't refunded the overage that my insurance paid and want me to trust the same two person lab that screwed up my teeth to redo my teeth. I've been going there for 16 years. DO NOT GO HERE. This is the absolute worst dental facility I've ever been to. I went here in 2006 at least three times, and every time there was a new dentist because the previous one had mysteriously disappeared. One time, one of the dentists was polishing a filling and cut the inside of my cheek with a serious motorized, spinning dental tool. He and the hygienist immediately removed the other tools in my mouth and he said, "Uh oh. You're really gonna hate me." Are you serious???? And, get this, this past summer I start receiving bills from them from FOUR YEARS AGO. They gave me all this b.s. that they couldn't get a hold of me and they were going back and forth with my insurance company. My insurance company said they have no record of contact with them. It does not take four years to process a bill. They also sent the same bill to me and one to my brother, since he went there for a period of time as well, as if they were expecting double the original amount of the bill. It's a scam, I swear. Do not go here unless you have time and money that you want to waste on unnecessary procedures. I went here for several years until I figured out that they were always telling me I needed something done. The last straw was the deep scaling they recommended. I got a second opinion and it turns out that I did not need that done, however, 3 of the fillings that were done there needed to be redone. The dentists are constantly changing, and the office staff is rude and incompetent. My bills, X-rays, etc were never handled correctly and I would have to call 3 or 4 times to get anything done. And the reason that you never have to wait is because the patient load there is way down and they are overstaffed. One of the hygienists told me this on my last visit. read more

I was very disappointed with Wheatland Dental. The first red flag was that they could not get my insurance information correct. My company switched providers at the beginning of the year, in between the time I booked the appointment and provided my old insurance information and my actual appointment. As soon as I was notified our company was changing insurance, I called Wheatland Dental to let them know that when I came in for my first appointment, which fell in the new year, my insurance would be different. I gave them the new information at that time. When I arrived for my appointment, the insurance person argued with me that I had primary AND secondary coverage. She would not / could not understand that my insurance had simply changed to a different provider. My appointment began with a series of x-rays followed by the hygienist measuring my gums. She then very dramatically told me that my gums were in dire condition and would require surgical intervention. I would also need a 2 part deep cleaning. At this point, I had been at the office for well over an hour and could not start the deep cleaning that day due to time constraints. The hygienist was not happy that i would not start the procedure that day. I noted that I would like for them to verify with my insurance that the deep cleaning would be covered and then I would make the appointments. Then the dentist came in and repeated that my teeth and gums were in very bad condition and that I should be very concerned. She also told me i had 6 cavities that would have to be filled at the same time I had my deep cleanings. I ended up scheduling the 2 appointments that day, but reiterated that I needed for them to follow up with me to let me know what my out-of-pocket costs would be. I never heard from them about my costs, even though I made at least 3 follow up calls. I finally called to cancel my appointments. Even after cancelation, I received calls "confirming" my appointments, yet they could not be bothered to reply to me initially about costs. The end of this story is that I found a new dentist, who told me at my first appointment that i have VERY HEALTHY teeth and gums and no cavities. The hygienist performed a "normal" cleaning and I was sent home with instructions to "keep up the good work". What bothers me the most is that they tried to scare me into unnecessary procedures, that ultimately would not have been covered by my insurance. I don't want others to be put in the same position of fear. read more

I had been going to Wheatland Dental Care for years until now. You would think that with a family of 5 that the one time time I missed an appointment they would have the nerve to charge me $20. Worse, I start getting letters asking for immediate payment! Clearly shows they are NOT out to build any type of relationship with the customer, they are just a money machine trying to squeeze every dollar they can. I can understand if we were new clientele or had a history of cancellations. But really? Do I get money when I'm sitting in the waiting room for over 30 minutes past my appointment because you are running late? Give me a break. Don't go here if you want that personal relationship where people care. You are a nothing more than money to them. read more
