Did not disappoint, went here for lunch almost as soon as they opened. I got the jerk shrimp tacos and honey bbq wings. Shrimp in the tacos were big and juicy and they had a lot of flavor. The wings were plump, juicy and had a good sauce flavor and were cooked well! Overall I'll be stopping back in as they had a wide variety of dishes to try! read more

Wow! That Jerk smash burger! I couldn't put it down. Counter service was excellent. No frills ambience.

Stood in line for an hr and half to still have to order online and wait another hour. I got the brown stewed chicken Food was average not very flavorful. The worst part of it all was the lack of communication from the leadership to the customers. No one took the time to come out and communicate what was taking place. They were trying to fill online orders along with a line out of the building. Not good on a Saturday. read more

While the food was good the service was poor. It took a really long time for the order to be ready and this was my second visit and it appears that every time I visit there is something that is not available. At the end of the day the Ambiance was delightful but poor service and unavailable menu items made me sad. Not sure I will return for a third visit and I really want to return because I want to support black owned businesses. I'm not sure. read more

This place, THIS PLACE was amazing, from the service, to the food! There was a bit of a wait, but it was WELL WORTH IT! I've eaten at this establishment before and it was delicious. This time, it was even better... I had the chicken sampler which comes with jerk, curry and brown stewed chicken, my sides were Mac n cheese and cabbage. I also had the jerk chicken egg rolls and the jerk honey shrimp Rasta pasta! I had food for 3 days lol... Where's the Jerk is good, I've had the oxtails which are delicious, the jerk wings are good also. They have a variety of choices on them menu to choose from. The yams and Mac n cheese were good also.My only issue is that when I've gone a few times during lunch the oxtails weren't ready. Only issue other than that. You need to try this place read more

Haven't tried the food yet. 1st time call went to vmail to order. Called right back and was on hold for 21 minutes..... office staff isnt too happy. Couldn't order lunch bc the line was long on the inside as well. Maybe we will give it another try in the future. read more

Sooo... WHERE IS THE JERK!!! My family and I took a drive to this place to check it out. After waiting, an hour and a half, in a line that was out the door and down the sidewalk we finally got invto order food. We then waited another hour for our meals. While waiting they ran out of Mac and cheese which my son was waiting for. He opted for fries instead to avoid a longer wait for the Mac n cheese they had just put in the oven! We took our food to the car, because the few seats in the restaurant were taken by folks waiting for food or standing over or near the tables. We tried to order different items to get a full experience. We ordered jerk wings, which tasted like plain oven roasted chicken, jerk chicken egg rolls, which were dry inside and burnt on the outside with some version of I guess a bbq based sauce and a white sauce drizzle on top.. both disgusting and should have been asked if we wanted sauce on them. We got cabbage which was super sweet and overpowering the dish.. no taste of salt, seasoning or heck even a little taste of vinegar would have helped. We got the jerk salmon cheese steak and yes it lacked JERK seasoning but was abundant in salt. They claimed to use an Amoroso roll.. UH NO, this was definitely a roll from food lion or some other grocery store ( I'm a Philly girl born and raised so I know what an Amoroso roll looks like, texture and taste) We were totally disappointed in this food. The potion size was ok, staff was ok, but after the $60 my son and his wife spent and the $50 I spent plus and hour and a half drive to the restaurant then back home, it was a WASTE of TIME and MONEY!!! Food is excellent but the wait time is ridiculous. I waited more than an hour and it wasn't that many people there. They act like you are not there once they take your money. Then I heard her helping someone else rush a lady order after me cause she had to go to work. Well I had somewhere to be also. Ridiculous !! I won't be going back. Food was amazing! Ordered the chicken sampler that came with curry, brown stew and jerk chicken. It took a little longer than expected but definitely worth the wait. The curry chicken and brown stew chicken was great! The yams were caramelized to perfection and the mac&cheese was amazing! The cashier was super busy with taking orders and handing them out, but she did it with ease and kept a smile on her face. The other staff was very friendly as well. Honestly, everything on the menu looked work getting. The portions were a decent size and very fulfilling. I highly recommend this restaurant so take your friends and family out for a nice Caribbean lunch/dinner. read more

Chaotic. we came from an appt. a few minutes away so we stopped there for lunch. arrived at 1:30 but they did not open until 3. We waited. by the time 3 came a line was wrapped around the bldg. I ended up toward the back because I didn't move fast enough. by the time I made it in they were out of what I wanted. I used their bathroom and there was no toilet paper . the floor also felt greasy under my shoes. A worker said they were understaffed but they also appeared to be ill prepared for the crowd. There was a 45 min-1 hour wait on the oxtails. maybe they should start cooking and hour or more earlier? Disappointing experience read more

Personally as a West Indian I was expecting a better taste. We had two meals. One jerk chicken the other oxtail. The jerk was bun up and the oxtail was black. Now when I say the oxtail was black it was as if they poured too much of the blue mountain burnt sugar jar mix in the oxtail. They didn't brown it first or burn sugar themselves. But let's say they couldn't as it's a good size restaurant. Somebody hand was heavy in that. The oxtail was seasoned and same for the meat. Both were jerk seasoned. The rice and peas was bad! Tasteless. The plantain was pre frozen then fried. For an additional side with my oxtail I got the "greens". Oh gawd it saltyyyyyy! Yes I am Trinidadian but I'm from Brooklyn where you could throw a rock and hit any island restaurant. I think this place thrives here because they have Phillys, wings and some other items mixed in with the West Indian flair. Also because it's not NYC, Boston or Miami where you can find West Indians galore and they will tell you about yourself lol. Here this restaurant is positioned to be a commodity. But come back because it taste good, no! Service also was super long. Waited a long time for the food to go. Like over 20 mins. The pro to that was they followed their tickets in order. For example they have beef Pattie's and other things they fry. If that order came before mine they got theirs first even though we know my rice, oxtail and jerk chicken was on a steam line behind the wall just waiting to be contained. So fairness they got it. But timing man, they need to get faster. I do appreciate the cashier and two other employees in the back though with their expediting. They were truly hard working and why I tipped cause you can see them grinding!!! read more

Where's the jerk? I found several of them working at this place! They came highly recommended, so one Thursday evening, I drove from Raleigh to give it a try. I will admit, it was during dinner time, so I REALLY tried to overlook the hour long wait in line, just to order. Once I finally reached the counter, I was asked to wait, because not only was the cashier taking orders, she was getting them together and bagging them as well. I finally placed my order, which was $85, and told that it would be another 40 minute wait. Okayyy. After waiting ANOTHER hour, I went to the counter to inquire about my order. THEY LOST MY TICKET. MY FOOD WASNEVER MADE! The "kitchen manager", who has no customer service skills, proceeds to say "it's going to be another 15 minutes for us to make it, do you want it?" Then she stares at me like we're in a stand off. No apologies or anything. So, that 15 minute wait turned into another 30 minutes. By this time, everyone is gone, and the doors were locked. The owners nephew was the most kind and polite person here. He told me that he spoke to his uncle and to save my receipt so my next order would be on the house, at which time my name was supposedly written on a board in the back. I went back this week, at 3:30 in the afternoon. Needles to say, still disappointing. I was told that I couldn't get $85 in free food, but I could get ONE MEAL free. I ordered 3 subs, and it still took an hour. I have not only worked in customer service for 20+ years, but I have also been a supervisor at a restaurant. I don't care how good your food is, customer service is key, and should be top priority. The kitchen manager had a very poor attitude, and the owner NEVER addressed me regarding my issue. I gave it a try, TWICE. Not the type of place I care to spend my money. read more

There was a line leading outside the business which is thought to be good food behind them walls..instead the food was terrible....was told there was an hour wait for the food given the line the wait is understandable but wen they keep calling every number but yours and having to "remind the cashier" about your order after waiting a total of an hour and thirty minutes the food was horrible...beef patty flat chewy no flavor jerk wings dried up chewy with a sweet sauce glazed over it...the oxtails ordered were ok but after having to remind the cashier the food was thrown together over white hard rice with cabbage that tasted like pure sugar...sadly to say my experience was horrible and is never spending any more money there...I hope your experience won't be the same......the ambience was filled with lively reggae music cashier was nice but the food...smh I didn't even want to give a star...sadly read more
