We drove by WUB probably a dozen times. Honestly it doesn't look to promising of a coffee shop on the outside and even their online presence isn't doing it for me. We stopped by with extra time to spare and boy we only regret passing it up all those times. WhereUBean Coffee is the unsung hero of Ahwatukee and Chandler. I am a sucker for an Espresso Tonic and this one delivered. Not too sweet not too bitter. I've been a fan of Intelligenstia Coffee for a number of years coming from LA and that's what they serve here at WUB. That right there is bonus points. Upon arrival there were a couple of folks hanging around. The staff was attentive and helpful when it came to ordering. The barista behind the bar had confirmed that I like my espresso tonic on the sweeter side before she made it. I appreciate it when baristas give me a heads up in a drink before it's too late. It's cozy inside, dated, but generally nice. We will be stopping by WUB whenever we have a chance! I definitely recommend it! read more

My co-workers and I were trying to find a central place to meet up before we took off for a company field trip. One suggested this place, and I'm so glad she did. Parking was plentiful and the place is easy to find. I know it may be hard to imagine....but this is a "real" coffee house, with real furniture they actually want you to sit at while you drink your coffee out of real ceramic coffee cups. With so many such places put out of business by "the McDonald's of coffee" (Starbucks), it's a pleasure to see these folks thriving. I got the fruity iced black tea to go, plus an amazing, super fresh blueberry muffin (the blueberries were ginormous!). Another person got a grilled breakfast burrito (which is what I should have gotten-next time!) and a creamy latte. Short version: if you've never tried an espresso tonic, this is an excellent place at which to try it. If you have already tried an espresso tonic, this is an excellent place at which to have it. Perfect recipe, perfectly executed. If you're at the level of coffee nerddom where you do like to pick up the notes and revel in the actual coffee flavours... I've found that a well chosen tonic recipe complements the coffee and draws out the finish. You don't get harsh bitterness from the tonic, or harsh acidity from the espresso. This results in a delicate, yet simultaneously & unmistakably intense coffee flavour. Perfectly sweetened, perfectly balanced. (To me, this is similar to adding a few drops of water to a complex whiskey. The flavour blooms, and perhaps it adjusts the temperature at which you normally experience the drink.) As with whiskey: Sometimes the day calls for a gnarly, diesel-powered base. Sometimes the day calls for something like this ...a graceful, charming cup of sunlight. This place is an absolute gem. My sister-in-law recommended it as a coffee option while we were at their house for an extended visit. We snuck away on a Saturday morning for a quick date and I'm so glad we did. WUB is family owned and they are the sweetest, most helpful people. We overheard one of them complimenting a regular customer about how much they all like serving her; before she left, she told him she'd been having a bad day and was so grateful for the kind words. I got a cold brew with lavender, and I can only describe it as the lacroix of cold brew, flavor wise. It was 90% oat milk with just a whisper of coffee. I could taste the lavender too, but if I wanted milk with lavender I would've just ordered that. Threw it in the garbage after 2 sips. The wife and I had some free time while in the area and decided to stop by and check out a new to us coffee shop. Like many small businesses they did not disappoint! We were greeted by the owner and since we came during a little lull she was able to talk to us for a few minutes. She recommended a couple of things so we tried them. GREAT VIBES & DRINKS Firstly upon entering they play great music here! They were playing some songs off of Donda, which was great. They have a very extensive menu. I ordered something from the fall special menu, the Autumn Cookie Latte, and it was so good! If you order your drink for "here," they put it in a super cute glass cup, less plastic waste! Triple threat! I'll start this review by saying that I drive past 10 or more coffee shops on my way to WUB. It's just that good. I stumbled on this coffee shop by accident, now it feels fated. Started off with the chai & homemade brown sugar syrup, was amazing. They have really well crafted seasonal menus that add a personal touch to this spot's charm. Their lavender haze chai was my favorite for months and I was sad to see it go... except the Pista Matcha stole my heart the next season, balanced, light, refreshing, just absolute chef kiss. I'm Recently I went in to try the pumpkin pie latte, & having not had the coffee at WUB, I asked the barista for a rec, she recommended the seasonal caramel cookie butter latte, it was actually so fantastic that I'm writing this review now. 10/10 these are some good beans yall *This is not a sponsored review , I truly just enjoy this coffee shop. People here are super friendly and professional, their drinks and bakery items are yum yum! Had matcha latte and my mum had a cup of sweet and creamy coffee (forgot the name since I don't drink coffee), and a piece of cream cheese pound cake, they were all goooooood!! My matcha latte was so good, they didn't use the pre-made powder, instead use actual matcha and it was so good. And the cream cheese pound cake! It was better than any other cheese cakes, chocolaty cheese part at the bottom and the plain cheese part on top of it, can't stop thinking of it! Cute little shop nestled in plaza next to Tukee's. The shop has an open feeling when you walk in with comfy couches, chairs, tables, high tops, bistro lights across ceiling, and a wall with records, cassette tapes & CDs. They have a bookshelf with books to read and games to play. A great place to study, chill with friends or get work done. They have some food menu items along with the coffee and tea options. I ordered iced vanilla latte for hubby and got an iced London Fog with macadamia milk for myself. Brewed well and flavorful without overpowering it with the syrups.
