Good for a quick bite, especially for the area! My favorite is the crispy chicken sandwich and an Oreo whizzed!

Heads up for those looking for plant-forward, clean eats and/or coffee:…read more As sweet as the folks are here they have no gluten free menu except maybe a basic salad. They also do not offer specialty coffees, espresso drinks, or alternative milk options.

Parking in front of building but also a big parking lot off to the side…read more Located at an intersection so a little hectic getting in and out traffic wise. Covered outdoor produce area. Baskets and carts available. Lots of peaches of course. But also some other fruits and vegetables. All looked good and they were bringing out more from the back. Several cold cases with bagged and packaged items including sauerkraut cheeses and butter and soft drinks. Lots of pickled, canned items (Mason jars) and dip mixes. Some metal yard art sculptures, cute pots for plants, tee shirts. Then if you go inside there's an ice cream counter and some baked goods, and you can order sandwiches. There are lots of tables so you can eat there or get it to go. One whole side of the store is now retail items such as clothes, cups, stuffed animals, keychains, jewelry, etc. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Food came out pretty fast. Price a little steep but they were pretty big sandwiches and they were good. My mother got a Club on white and I got the Holy Guacamole on sourdough. They did make a couple errors. They switched the bread, so my sandwich came out on white and my mother's came out on sourdough. There were also no sprouts on my sandwich. No mention that they were out of them so assuming they forgot. But both sandwiches were very good so not a big deal. Place was clean and tables were being cleaned and items were being swept up as needed.

Service: upon arrival a VERY warm and gracious greeting (despite the map saying "closing soon")…read more Food: VERY good. I ordered Fish & Shrimp dinner with potato salad and slaw. Shrimp were delisioso! Catfish strips were acceptable (I liked them more than I expected to). Potato salad and slaw are homemade ... and quite yummy. Hush puppies were mighty fine! Ambiance: most tables were taken and apparently filled with locals with lots of catching up to do... and do... and do. Sure got quiet after everyone left (and I was not pressured to leave). Extra: there's a geocache in their parking lot! Who could ask for anything more Service bonus: waitress was especially kind and sweet and helpful and courteous.

Helen and I both went to The University of Alabama (Roll Tide!) as did her sister, brother and…read morefather. As you might imagine we go to some UA football games. Coming and going to and from the games can become pretty boring. We like to mix it up a bit and take highways instead of the interstate. We choose different ones to keep it interesting. One of our trips took us through Greensboro Alabama and we were hungry. I looked online at the restaurant options and found M&M Mustang Oil Restaurant was a meat and three type of restaurant with southern food. That's right up our Alabama hearts. We headed that way. Did ya know that Greensboro Alabama is the Alabama Catfish Capital? No?....... Yep! So guess what I just had to have! Good ole USofA raised Mud Cat! It was delicious! That was almost a year ago and we have been going back ever since. This was our third time to go. I have had the catfish plate and the Po-Boy. Helen gets either 3-4 of the sides or the catfish plate which comes with two sides plus hush puppies or cornbread. We also have had the Cheese Logs and the Fried Mushrooms. Everything is delicious! The Cheese Logs are by far the best cheese sticks we have ever had. Talk about molten cheese! Mary (server and cook) uses pepper jack to make the logs. They are slap your grandma good! Onion rings-terrific. The coleslaw is too. If I had to find something it would be that I like my purple hull peas cooked down, way down, like all day cooked down. These are good but just not how I eat them. One last thing. Every one of the tables has home preserved peppers on them. The juice goes great on the cornbread and the peas. Even the coleslaw is better with it. I dare ya to pull a pepper or two out and pop em in your mouth! Especially the tiny sport peppers. They will burn you twice, coming AND going, if ya know what I mean. Go on, don't fret about what it looks like inside or out. You are going to get some delicious food and you will thank me later. Do not forget the catfish. Unless it is an off day it will be the best you have plopped into your mouth!

Stopped at this place by default as we were headed to The Pecan on the corner. We saw the setup (…read moreoutside) and decided we'd stop to look at the menu. After looking, the leaving to go see The Pecans menu, we decided to go back . Upon looking at the menu, I stopped and asked a local her opinion of the food. She said it's pretty good, the chicken salad and the COB sandwich which is basically a chicken tender on a bun with a house made sauce. Mild or hot ( hot is with jalapenos). She suggested another spot but we walked to the counter and was greeted with a smile. After telling the cashier it was our first time in town to get this she began telling us about items on the menu. Suggested the COB and her fav pie . Oh yes, they have pies which we learned that the owner makes them from scratch. So upon convincing us , we got all she suggested down to the pies. I got key lime and the mister got the cashier's fav ( Cookies and cream pie). The pies were good, right crust and the right amount of sweet.. An 8 out of 10. The COB I'm gonna have to be different than the reviews I saw and ya girl has had plenty of chicken tender sandwiches. It was nothing special about it, no seasoning and the special sauce wasn't special at all. Sorry. The bread was soft and I guess that's gotta count for something right ,. The fries were regular fries, nothing to them. I was very disappointed in the COB sandwich after all the hype about it. It definitely gets a 4 out of 10 for me. I ate one half after I put the good chicken salad on it . The chicken salad gets a 9 out of 10 for sure because it was tasty. The only reason it don't get a 10 is because I'd like more mayo but that's a personal preference. Overall it was ok. I enjoyed the service, the inside/outside eating area. If I was in the area and wanted some chick salad, I would stop again for a quick snack on that with crackers.
