Off the beaten path. Friendly people. Lots of choices. Thank you for a great visit.

Second time here and not disappointed nice outdoor atmosphere during these hard times. Just the break needed and the wine tasting was awesome and could easily become habit forming, 'lol' the staff is the most friendly and we were treated like regulars. Give this place a try you won't be sorry.

While headed home at the end of our summer visit to the area we saw a "winery" sign with an arrow. We made a note to check out out the next time we were up here and finally got the opportunity. It was very busy as there were two different local events and "tours" going on while we were there. It was quite chaotic and if it wasn't for that this may have been a four star review. They were extremely overwhelmed by the amount of people that were there. It was good for them as a newer business to be able to get the word out, but frustrating if you weren't part of one of the tours and wanted to do a tasting. Everyone there was really nice though. It's a bit out of the way on wooded road and up a long driveway. It's a really cute little spot inside and has a welcoming feel. This is going to sound a bit snobby, but in most cases you have to lower your tasting expectations if you are a red wine lover going to a New England winery. The varietals that produce a fuller-bodied red just can't be grown out here. Whippletree does have a wide variety of wines and I'm happy to say some pretty good heavier reds. I do think they cater more to the sweet wine crowd, but this red wine lover was satisfied. We walked out with a few bottles of Cranberry Shiraz, which we'll pour on Thanksgiving and bottle of Villa Red. I will definitely visit again and expect it to be a quieter, more laid back tasting at which point they will get another star. It's worth a stop if you are in the area.

What a fun winery to visit. Off the beaten path, unique winery the former home of Vergil d White, the man who patented the ski mobile. Lauren Barrett serves their delicious wine with great gusto and reverence for wines and blending for complexity and balance. Well worth the scenic drive to visit! Well done. Do visit.

We took the best detour on our way to Conway from Belmont NH! The owners are soo friendly and the wine was delicious!!! Definitely worth a stop!

The most STUNNING wedding venue! My cousin got married here this summer and it was so perfect…read more There was a seperate barn on the property where the night before was held. There was a bar, we did trivia, and not to mention the jaw dropping views of the mountains in the distance. Super homey and warm vibe to everything here. The main barn was used for the actual wedding reception itself (DJ booth, long tables, an upstairs area overlooking, and massive barn doors that open out to the stunning view). Couldn't suggest this venue more!!

----- Concise Review…read more Wonderful wedding + reception ----- Longer Review We traveled to South Tamworth, New Hampshire, by way of Boston, MA and then North Conway, NH, for the wedding of our niece to her husband. The trip was brief - Thursday evening to Sunday, but filled with family and fun. Our niece and (now) nephew selected whiteface hollow for the wedding and reception. whiteface hollow - a fantastic barn + house + winery in South Tamworth, NH. The wedding ceremony was outside, in the field, under a large maple tree, and the reception was in the barn. The property has parking in an open space amid trees... the sky is visible but the trees also provide shading to keep the intense heat off the vehicles. The property has a gentle hillside, leading to the grape vines, with a beautiful view of the White Mountains off in the distance... the view was beautiful in the afternoon and phenomenal with that night's sunset! The owner shared that the barn is original wood - interior... the floors and walls are new boards created when they brought a saw mill onsite to cut the wood from trees on the property. The barn had plenty of room for the 18 tables for guests + a dance floor for all of us.. with space for food, and the bar downstairs, and two spaces upstairs (no walls, but balcony rails). Speaking of the bar... they served inside and also through a window to the outside... the blueberry lemonade is very tasty! The winery isn't producing yet but the building is there, and we enjoyed brunch the next morning - nice! And the painting of the property over the bar is wonderful artwork. The owner and her crew were great... so helpful; we were guests so we didn't have the stress, but we could see things were well planned and executed smoothly. Thank you, whiteface hollow, for such a wonderful wedding + reception for our niece and nephew! ----- ----- -----

The winery consistently adds to the enjoyment of my timeshare weeks. My absolute favorite is the wine slushies--I look forward to them every year and couldn't wait for them to return in the spring and summer months. I also highly recommend the wine and cider flights, which are a great way to sample a variety of offerings. The staff and service are outstanding. Megan, in particular, always makes each visit special. She is knowledgeable, attentive, and genuinely personable, and I always enjoy chatting with her. Her enthusiasm and excellent customer service make the winery an even more enjoyable place to visit. I highly recommend stopping by if you're in the area!

We had flights and tasted all of their ciders. Ironically our mutual favorite was a hopped cider. It was literally the only one we liked. At least for now, it seems they should stick to wine. The man working there was incredibly knowledgeable and friendly. It was a great experience learning about the ciders and speaking with him, just wish they tasted better. They have a little seating area outside that was comfortable and nice to relax at.
