Rylan has always been fairly well-mannered and is friendly once he gets to know you, but he tends to pull on his leash during walks and now he's learning how to share his house with his arch nemesis - a cat. I expressed my concerns with Julie and her mom and they knew exactly what to do about it. I've tried many different harnesses and collars, but I've never tried a pinch collar because I didn't know how to properly use them and didn't want to hurt him. Julie fit him with one and showed me exactly how to use it and got him to do what I couldn't do in the 4+ years I've had him. I was absolutely blown away at how he reacted to this new collar and the amount of instruction she gave and the reasons behind WHY it works. Her philosophy is that she will not sell anything she would not use on her own dogs, so she has first-hand experience on everything she sells and why her products are beneficial. I will forever make the 30 minute drive to her store becaue of how they treat me and Rylan. If you haven't gone yet, GO!

Eventually it all worked. Store is located in the heart of historic O'Fallon, IL district. Arrived on time and were warmly greeted. Space is set up with some fun and unique doggy items up front, and the services in rear. Nail trims went off without a hitch-very friendly and capable staff doing the work, and I liked that they dremel sand the sharp nail edges! Staff then helped get us set up at the two wash stations. All supplies readily available including various shampoos and conditioners, brushes, towels etc. Liked the stations a lot, only downside was running out of warm water at the end. Overall very good experience and will use them again.

They have video surveillance, which is a plus for any owner. Dogs can roam from inside to outside freely & they are supervised with loving attendants who are with the dogs the whole time. They have half and full day packages & overnight stay which I also used. The overnight stay service was outstanding. She wasn't paying attention to what she was doing and she was jerking Tori around and screaming at us about her "husband that can't sh*t". Tori gets nervous getting her nails done as it is. I was very calm throughout the whole incident whereas my aunt told her she was rude and walked out. Taking Tori with her. We didn't let her finish. She did one paw and half of one back and expected us to pay. When I expressed my feelings about her flipping my aunt off and told her we weren't paying, she told me I was being rude now. She threatened to call the cops on me! All I did was tell her even if we were being rude, we are her customers. It's life and sometimes we have to deal with it. I walked out and came back with a check. I only payed for the cut for Bella and she flipped me off when I was leaving. She's lucky she got the check for the cut. In total, she flipped us off 4 times while we were there, she jerked Tori so much that she yelped, and she left Tori bleeding everywhere. They are a great small town, county shelter that takes good care of homeless dogs and cats. Recently they got some publicity for one of their residents who had been living in the shelter for 11 years. Wiggles had a tumor that was unoperateable, but 5 A's kept her and loved her. Finally after appearing on a local news channel, she found her forever home for her senior years. Being new to the Alton community, I stopped by to see what I could do or donate to help them with their cause and was impressed with the cleanliness of the shelter. I was also impressed with the friendliness and love I saw the staff and volunteers showing the resident animals.
