Nice desert place. Good friendly service. We had coffee, cappuccino, custard, and flan all was good and tasty, would definitel return again. Good to see all these nice places are near home. Main Milburn parking lot is nearby, so that you can walk from the parking to this bakery. Nice and relaxing atmosphere. I took some Natas home. It was very good, also.

Casa das Natas in Millburn has become one of my favorite cafe/ pastry shop. My husband and I love popping in for their delicious Natas (owner's special recipe). They're always fresh and absolutely delicious. The owner is super friendly and makes you feel right at home, she always gives my dog treats. The coffee is great too, and the vibe is always relaxed and welcoming. If you're in the area, definitely stop by!

My friend and I happened to stumble upon this place when we were killing some time in Millburn before a show at the Paper Mill Playhouse. It was our first time in Millburn, so we were eager to find something good in this area and we found Casa Das Natas and it was so gooooood. ***In a rush? Skip to the end for my tips.*** We actually walked in when there was about 30 minutes before they closed, but they were so welcoming and took the time to explain all the different pastries, desserts, and drinks they had that were all authentically Portuguese. The owner told me that everything was freshly made. We definitely got one of the pastel de nata and we got a dessert called 'ovos mole," which had a sweet egg filling and the outside looks and tastes like the communion wafers. They were both very delicious. And, the owner recommended trying a drink that was imported from Portugal that was a carbonated fruit drink. I tried the pineapple flavor and my friend has the orange flavor and we loved them both. And then, we couldn't resist getting one of the pretty desserts on display, a lemon dessert. It had a thick layer of lemon curd on top of thickly whipped cream and on the bottom was something like a vanilla cake. And, this was one of the best desserts I've ever had. My friend and I were blown away. There were other versions, like a berry one, but I can't remember exactly. Now, I must go back to try the other versions and to get more of that lemon dessert. Tips: - Don't forget that they close early at 5:00. - Also, I'm seeing from other reviews and saw for myself that they sell out quickly of their popular items, so if you want first dibs, get there early. - Parking - There is street parking all around municipal parking lots nearby, as well. - They also serve food there and I'm sure that will be good, too.

Casa de Natas is great we stopped here for a nice Saturday brunch. The panini was great. I hade the Serrano which was ham cheese and portuguese prosciutto. Great coffee. My husband had the bifana sandwich. It was a bit underwhelming and small with very little pork in it, but now i know what Portuguese Rolls are really supposed to look like and taste like. Our sandwiches were served on glorious fresh Portuguese rolls. Then for dessert i had the torta de ova. They make their own desserts here and i was pleasantly surpised. The torta de ova was a meringue roll with yolk custard and cinnamon. It is similar to the Filipino dessert called Brazo de Mercedes. I will put this on my calendar to visit during the weekday before 5pm. I also want to get a Portuguese chouriço. OH my my. This place is awesome.

This is an awesome spot with great vibes. The cashier was super friendly and sweet. I ordered a pastel de nata, one of the best desserts I've ever had- so satisfying with fantastic textures and flavors and served warm, LOVED the touch of cinnamon and powdered sugar on top. I greatly look forward to returning and trying more of their products

Quality Portuguese food. Super friendly service. Flan is out of this world. A wonderful place for Milburn downtown.

Natas and cream filled donuts.

Nice selection for a smallish store, terrific quality, but you are paying the Millburn/Short Hills $ penalty.

I love the authentic Natas, the best I've had, and I grew up going to the Ironbound in Newark.

Delicious pasteis des natas! Perfect ratio of custard-y filling to flaky pastry. So happy that this place opened up in Millburn.

They also gave us complimentary cookies, which was a nice touch. Staff was friendly, and the café feels clean and well-kept with an in-house bakery setup that you can actually see, which adds to the charm. Overall, a cozy spot I'd definitely recommend.

Over the years, I had always been happy with the quality of the products they sell, but lately the pricing has gotten completely out of hand. We were there this past Saturday for breakfast. We shared a shakshuka and had two mocha coffees in the table area, and my wife also ordered a salmon toast. That was it. Somehow, this breakfast cost as much as four meals we had at an Israeli restaurant in NYC the very next day -- and, by the way, those meals were far superior to anything I've ever had at Liv. While at the NYC restaurant, we noticed they charge only $7 for fresh-squeezed orange juice -- in a larger portion than Liv's $12 glass of OJ. Their shakshuka is also only $16, compared with Liv's $22. And this place is in the heart of NYC, not in suburbia New Jersey. I also used to love getting Liv's cookies and croutons, but those have become expensive beyond reason as well. Two packs of cookies, one crouton, and a mocha coffee came to over $50. Seriously? At this point, it is clear to me that the owner's strategy is to keep raising prices to see how much he can get away with. Well, as far as I'm concerned, I'm done. I will no longer be patronizing this kind of price gouging.

I came here hungry. I left humbled…read more This sandwich has strips of flank steak stir fried with peppers and red onion like the cook had something to prove. Not aggressively. Confidently. The kind of confidence that doesn't announce itself, it just delivers. Then there's the crema de cilantro and aji, which basically tag team your taste buds and ask, "You good?" Yes. I'm great. Mind your business. This is not a, "Instagram made me do it" sandwich. This is a composed, disciplined, shut up and eat sandwich. Every ingredient is there on purpose. No freeloaders. The owner is a Peruvian chef who lived in Canada and now cooks in New Jersey, which explains why this sandwich has flavor, restraint, and zero patience for mediocrity. This isn't fusion, it's life experience on bread. Fair warning: eating this will ruin weaker sandwiches for you. You'll start asking questions. You'll judge more. You'll be disappointed elsewhere.
