4.25 stars Having lived in Washington DC for 3 years, I think I forgot what good service looks like! My buddy and I came here today nursing a hang over and we left filled up and feeling better. In between, we enjoyed some good food made with quality ingredients and has a nice chat with the owner. She is pretty darn funny! Nice to be back home in small town New England as I never had that experience once in 3 years in DC, as fantastic as that city can be in other ways. Found the prices to be very very reasonable. Two people can eat here and be stuffed on right around 25 worth of food. In other words this is a good "bang for your buck" type place and one I will visit in the future when I am home visiting family in Deep River. Nice little breakfast/lunch/brunch spot in a small town, perfect. HEADS UP: It says on the menu they do not take debit cards but it seems you can disregard that, as the waiter told me they just started accepting them on 25 May. I guess bring some cash just in case. Lovely little place, family owned, delicious, scratch made food. This was my third visit and each time is better than the last. Small interior dining area/counter and picnic table seating on a covered patio area in back. Menu offers several eggs benny options, omelets, pancakes, etc but what makes the menu special is the freshness and sourcing of quality ingredients and reasonable prices. My first impression was that the menu had some of the most unique offerings I have seen in quite some time. For example, at the staff's suggestion, I ordered the Green Sausage Benny. It was described to me as an eggs benedict dish; however, I found it to be so much more than that. Two eggs served on an English muffin topped with hollandaise is to be expected; but, add sun dried tomatoes, peppers, and of course the green (spinach) sausage and you get an explosion of flavor that blends perfectly. Served with lightly seasoned, but very tasty home fried potatoes, the portion was filling, while leaving me with a desire for more. To sum things up, I don't believe my review can do justice to the meal I had (Yes, it was that good). Needless to say, I'll be back to try their other offerings. read more

The owner was kind to us the moment we stepped in the door. Friendly staff, great food, and it had the cutest hippie atmosphere - I felt right at home. They have an extensive tea selection - I would recommend the chrysanthemum tea. The owner practices traditional Chinese medicine and has described the benefits of each of their teas. Also I'm not exaggerating one bit when I say the bacon...was... TRANSCENDENT. Truly. Worth the trip alone. At the end of the meal the owner/manager/chef came by the table to talk to us. Small quaint. The service is polite. We had to wait only about 15 minutes for the food and it was more than worth it. Everything was fresh including the delicious fresh squeezed lemonade. My wife and I had two. The Cinnabon French toast was spectacular and a must. I had a Wild Mushroom, Truffle, Leaks and Swiss Omelette with a side of Bacon and Broccoli. The omelette itself was OUT OF THIS WORLD GOOD! The perfect blend of flavors. I don't even know how to really describe it other than AMAZING! The broccoli was well seasoned and tender and the bacon was absolutely perfect. Not too hard, not too soft.. I've been here twice and both times I've gotten some of the best breakfasts I've ever eaten. While they do have the classic breakfast foods, they also have a lot of very unique meals. It's very cute and eclectic inside, though there aren't many tables so I'd be prepared to wait if you come in during the prime time. Used to love this place but it's gone super downhill. They don't take credit cards, and don't mention it until the bill comes due. The hash browns we got were burned, the bacon pancake had powdered sugar on it, and had bacon that wasn't crispy at all. The kids menu pancake was covered in butter and powdered sugar. Again, none is this was mentioned or asked. My omelette was a plain egg with toppings wrapped inside like a burrito and it was probably the best thing we had. The manager or cook wasn't wearing a mask the entire time we were there. The menus weren't disposable. The syrup is shared and not cleaned. The tables weren't washed between people and were way less than 6 feet apart. In my view, go here at your own risk during the era of COVID. read more

Picture sitting in your kitchen with your family during Thanksgiving dinner while talking about religion or politics.
