When I am in Crozet I always eat breakfast here. Great food and bought one of their $20 T-shirts today. They are very well made, great logo and come even in size 3x.

Sweet staff and great location in business area of Crozet, VA. Food was decent, southern style menu items. Outside patio seating and dog friendly. Great little stop in this cute town.

Visited Chile's Peach Orchard, for apples and wanted to eat in the area. The Whistle Stop was recommended. The food was okay. The bacon was over cooked as was the corn beef hash. The eggs were bland. The server bought out tea bags not in the wrapper. Dropped one on the floor, picked it up offering it to us as if we were going to use it. This place has a lot of potential and is in a great location. The food came out fast but it really wasn't that good. Maybe given the hour, 12:15, it was food that has been around since 6AM when it opened.

When in Crozet, pop by the Whistle Stop! This is a cozy, country diner with lots of seating indoors and outdoors! There's an old fashioned counter where you can watch the cook at the grill make one of your favorite American meals. I love the railroad theme, the décor is nostalgic with trains and whistles at the tables. They also have lots of Pepsi memorabilia too. You'll think you time traveled when you see the prices on the menu! $3.99 for a BLT or a burger! I got the BLT and the bacon was crispy and plentiful. It was toasted perfectly but I wished they had rye bread. The menu is pretty plain, but sometimes you want some familiar favorites. My friends got the burgers which they said hit the spot. The patties are hand made, not Frozen! Our sandwiches were served on these tiny 6" flimsy paper plates that almost gave way when our server placed them in front of us. We actually cracked up when we saw them! It was comical! We asked for larger plates and she brought us regular melamine plates. I think they didn't want to wash the dishes?! Anyway, we also ordered fries which were served cold. Bummer! The drink menu is extensive. Lots of soda choices including Cheerwine and root beer. We also had iced tea and beers and the server kept our drinks flowing. She was working hard! The restrooms were clean as was the whole restaurant. This isn't a trendy spot that tries too hard. It's a basic, casual, down home spot to chill with some good cheap eats! I'd come again, but don't expect too much... all aboard!!

Hilarious. JR Ewing beer. If you have to ask you probably can't afford it.

Classic diner. Fair prices and extremely friendly family service environment. I liked that the western omelet with potatoes and toast wasn't overly huge and greasy and the potatoes were freshly made and the toast was dry with option to butter myself. Some diner French everything in oil or butter.

This is one of the best diners of all times. The people there are friendly, the service is very attentive and the food is always good! I'm so thankful for the way they welcome people to Crozet. My vote is that they should get a key to the town.

Grease up for this inexpensive cholesterol dive. Might as well let the chickens shit on my plate. Food from bag to old grease boiler. Undercooked eggs, over fried (likely old oil) old frozen pickles. If you must, the hamburger is small but decent.

Sunday breakfast! Not too crowded, great pancakes and bacon. Coffee is awesome. My boyfriend liked his egg and bacon sandwich (and he's picky). Staff is attentive and happy. Returned for dinner, great burgers and fries! Good beer for a cheap price. Happy server again! This is our new "don't feel like cooking" spot. Honestly you'll see complainers on here but just come try it yourself.

Who loves a burger for breakfast ... us this was homemade and so flavor packed

Really good, traditional breakfast with plenty of food and flavor. The sausage gravy and biscuit, in particular, hit the spot.

From the moment we stepped in everyone shared our excitement and served us with so much happiness. The food was incredible--the menu was so diverse and had so many tasty options. We had the mussels which were mind blowing. We always order mussels on any menu and we agreed that these were probably the best we have ever had overall. You could drink the delicious broth they are cooked in or just soak the wonderful House made bread in it and eat it like we did. They gave us complimentary champagne and pumpkin cheesecake which was totally unnecessary but speaks to the thoughtfulness of this restaurants staff and ownership. We had another dinner the next day at another respected restaurant and it was such a let down after Duner's. The wine list here is delicious and fairly priced. Our entrees were both fresh, great portions, and genuinely delicious. We both can't wait to come back here again and again. Thank you to the chef, servers, and staff who made our night so yummy and special it was the highlight of our trip besides saying "I do".

It's not a huge restaurant but there is a secondary porch area which was opened during the pandemic so it looks like the space has doubled. It's a quaint and cozy feel and everyone is friendly and inviting. The menu isn't huge but there's a good selection of beef, fish, chicken dishes. The Crispy Brussel Sprouts app was very tasty..had a nice kick to it with good flavor. The Halibut, creamy Shrimp & Sausage Pasta and the Coq au Vin were all very enjoyable. Fresh ingredients and just good solid dishes all around. What we really enjoyed was the Coconut Cake with fresh berries. Wow, fluffy cake with a nice berry sauce and fresh whipped cream. One of the best coconut cakes we've had. Been very impressed with the Charlottesville food scene and Duner's didn't disappoint.

Thankfully, the owner Norm Jenkins has taken the manager role as well and revived this sinking ship. The store is open 7 days a week and is open at 7:30, the other managers had the store open W-Sun and their hours were minimal, open 8 hours a day tops. Your basics are met for breakfast and lunch at Plank Road, with pastries and biscuits to burgers and Boar's Head sandwiches. The real attraction is the nightlife on Friday's and Saturday's, musical performances, local beer on tap, and good food make Plank Road Exchange an under the radar nightlife hotspot. They also have a small selection of wines, beers, and local produced products. Check out their website: www.plankroadexchange.com ; currently there is a pretty nasty and false letter on the homepage (which is currently being held hostage by Aris Cuadra). The two that were running Plank Road were not generating profits and were told to plan to vacate if things did not change this in 2 months. I do not mean to rant but I recently visited their homepage, saw the false statement and wanted to give Plank Road Exchange my support and fair defense. Peek in the door, it'll be Norm's smiling face waiting for you! PS- You can order your food how you would like it without Aris yelling at you!!!!

Simply put, the bodega breakfast sandwich might be the best breakfast sandwich I've ever eaten. I took it to eat on the road and was startled about how delicious it was. I think it was because they enjoyed working there. Or, at least it give them a chance to eat some really tasty food. I had their Cubano Tartine. That's kind of like an omelet with the ingredients of a Cubano sandwich, except for the roll, mixed in. (And yes, I get that the cooking process is a bit different.) ' Anyway, this Cubano Tartine shows up on a plate in front of me. I dig in and keep digging. The ingredients, ham, cheese, pickles, etc, were plentiful and delicious. They were sitting on an ample slice of their sourdough bread. That was the first issue. It was IMPOSSIBLE to cut. I guess I could have asked for a steak knife or maybe a power tool. But, there was so much other stuff that I was able to have a very filling meal without it. The other issue was that the lightly dressed side salad was doused in dressing. Again, didn't complain because, for me, it wasn't a problem during this visit. Issues aside, if I come back to Hagerstown, I'll look for an excuse to come back.
