We were looking for great seafood. Thanks to fellow yelpers, tried The Fishery…read more Located in a small strip mall, is this seafood market. Clearly this is a seafood market. However, on Fridays they do prepare fried food. We lucked out, and got there around 12:30. Limited selection? Yes, but it's all stuff we love. So the hubby and I were happy to pick the clam strips and scallops. Oh, they didn't have the bay scallops, but had ocean scallops. Was that okay? Okay? We love ocean more than bay. So we lucked out again. Quick drive to the water, and enjoyed our lunch. Have to tell you these were SO delicious. Scallops melted on my tongue. Clams were so flavorful. The tartar was so good too! Didn't have room to finish the fries, but they were good too. So we're going to have to take a small walk on the beach to work it off. Seriously, if you're lucky enough to be around on Fridays for a delicious takeout seafood, this is the place. If you're looking to buy fresh seafood every other time, this is the place. Love their sustainability. Sell what's available on the boat that day. Can't get fresher than that.

We were blown away by the shrimp ($15) - beautifully cooked, creamy on the inside, and the batter was crispy and delicious. The fish and chips tasted really fresh, and again, perfectly cooked - and, at only $11, this is an incredible deal. If you haven't tried them yet, make it a priority. Call ahead first.

The Windjammer ended up being exactly what I needed I didn't order any food this visit because I was really just looking for a quiet spot to enjoy a drink while waiting for the crowds to die down. And I'm so glad I stopped in. The mudslide was phenomenal. My dad has always made my favorite mudslides, and he'd probably hate me for saying this... but this one was even better. It was perfectly creamy, smooth, and absolutely delicious. One thing that really surprised me was how spacious the bar actually is. From photos online, it looked like it might feel a little cramped, but that couldn't have been further from the truth. The layout is open, there are multiple ways to access the outdoor seating areas, and it never felt claustrophobic. The outdoor space is another huge plus. Between the cornhole boards, ladder ball, and plenty of room to spread out, it's the kind of place where you could easily spend an entire afternoon with friends or family. Most importantly, the staff was wonderful. Everyone was welcoming, friendly, and made the atmosphere feel relaxed from the moment I walked in. Whether you're looking for a lively afternoon with games or just a comfortable place to escape the crowds for a while with a great drink, the Windjammer is well worth a stop.

But I do have to mention I was very disappointed in there menu, they changed it and got rid of the Mahi Mahi sandwich. It was my favorite sandwich I ended up getting shrimp tacos. There were 3 tacos with 2 shrimp in each with lettuce. Very disappointed.

Our server was Ricardo and he was excellent. The most serene water view from our table added to the ambience. The summer campanelle and the Italian sausage rigatoni were perfect. The chocolate torte and the panna cotta were perfect. The drinks such as the Weekapaug sunrise were perfect. Definitely a place to come back to again and again.

We had a lovely dinner here three years ago, What a shocking disappointment on our return trip…read moretonight. The restaurant and the entire property are beautiful. And our waiter Iggy was a delightful and attentive server. My wife's sea bass was delicious. And I have little else to say that's positive. I had the toro appetizer. It was tough, chewy, and drowned in so much marinade you couldn't taste anything else. I honestly didn't know toro could even be chewy. Sent back the first order thinking it was cut wrong. Second was just as bad. And they didn't take it off the check. Lobster pappardelle was nearly flavorless -- void of seasoning -- and I needed a magnifying glass to find the lobster in this dish. There were numerous service mistakes that I won't detail here. Suffice to say it feels like nobody is managing the dining experience. I've had better service in most diners than we had here. With so many great restaurants in the area, you'd be better off driving by, taking some pictures, and going almost anywhere else. (Try Ella's. It's a gem.) Believe the one-star reviews posted here. I'd do the same if not for our excellent server and my wife's entree. But we left wishing we'd just ordered a pizza.
