If you plan to come here, just go in with expectations of knowing that is is a beach bar. It's a large place with great outdoor seating, lots of drinking, food and drinks spilled on the floor, loud music and partying. They definitely get a five-star on that end. We arrived for our reservation with a group of five, they decided to squeeze us into a table for four stating that's all that they had although two tables of six sat empty next to us the whole evening. Most of our food choices were very good, we ordered a steak salad, lobster bisque, a burger and fish tacos. The only issue we had were the fish tacos were very low on shrimp whereas the third taco had one shrimp in it. But the positives were that the view was great, our server was friendly and it is a good place to drink and dance the night away to the bands they have each night.

I have to say we did have a great time despite the not great weather. All of the food came out so quick! There's a ton of seating inside and outside. There's access right to the beach, outdoor and indoor bar. There's cute games for adults and kids to play. There was live music. Some of the food was a little too doughy and that's the only reason we aren't giving 5 stars. The food otherwise was great and had a great crunch & flavor. Bartenders were super friendly that we had. There's a huge food and drink menu. We do wish it was a nicer day to make time for the beach. Otherwise a great Stop if you are in the area!

This place is right on the beach. It has outdoor seating where you can enjoy the fresh ocean air and watch the waves. It also has a huge inside area. Right when you enter they have a bowl for dog treats. Yes, they allow dogs inside and outside innthis restaurant and they even serve dog beer (bone broth)! How cool is that?! The menu is full of choices and they are delicious! They also have a variety of Cocktails and beers. They have shows and live music sometimes as well. They have some cute decorations around to make it trendy. The last thing but definitely not least is that the service is excellent! The staff is so friendly and actually seem like they love being there!

Ocean view restaurant with great staff and delicious food! We got the pulled pork loaded nachos to split, the clam chowder and fritter combo and the chicken fingers with fries. Everything came out fast and fresh! Out server was great. I also got the spicy pineapple margarita! Delicious

I always tell people to order the fish and chips here, they are great! The staff works long and hard to provide a fun and tropical oasis in RI. I have attended several events as well, and the live music is always a hit. I highly recommend for watching sports games at the bar.

Amazing ocean views from the patio and great food! The best lobster rolls ever! I love taking a walk on the beach after we eat!

What a fun place! This Bar has everything you'll need for a great time. It's located directly on the Atlantic Ocean with plenty of a variety of seating options all with ocean views. There's palm trees, outdoor games, cosy inside seating, 3 bars and a stage for the busy music schedule. The service is consistently friendly, plentiful and efficient. The food is delicious upscale Beach Bar and the drinks are holiday fun. Plenty of free convenient parking for patrons. What makes this establishment so special to me, is the building's history. Check out the wood floor, then imagine 1911- 1980's this place was full of roller skaters. Yes, I remember the sounds of the sea, the skates but I now prefer the sounds of the sea and the smell of my delicious smash-burger!! If you love the ocean any season is the perfect reason to visit.

They got the good Pepperoni! Ok that's not the first or probably the 8th thing someone would say about Windjammer but I just love the good pepperoni. Here's the bottom line about windjammer: Will not be the best food but it's reasonably priced and a great location. It's large. The inside area is split between a a very large bar area and a dining hall. Immediately you are hit with a dirty beer smell. Listen- it's a beach bar. It's RI's own little Margaritaville in a way . People just stepped off the beach, enjoying too many drinks and sandy feet are the norm. Music playing. There is a back patio that sprawls the whole length of the building. Patio tables with umbrellas and then relaxing patio furniture for those who just want to drink and take in the view. We sat all the way toward the end of the building on the right and there were stairs that lead us right to the beach. This was clutch for us. We ordered our dinner and the kids went and changed in the bathroom then went out to play in the water. They easily came back for their food (dripping wet and nobody cared) and returned to the water. I then got my youngest changed, paid the bill and my husband moved to the relax patio area with our belongings as I went to the water to watch all three kids just have a blast nighttime swimming! It turned out to be great. My pina colada was delicious! Came with whipped cream as well. (Bonus points!) My fish and chips were a little over done- like charred a little (they tried covering it up with the placement of the fries.) NO TARTAR SAUCE! Thats a fail. The coleslaw was a little too sugary but I liked the general flavor. The flatbread pizza wasn't great but the pepperoni's were crispy and I love that. Overall- our family will return. Great place for adults and kids to both get wins.

Good ambience with live music. Did not enjoy the steak frites. The chimichurri sauce was oil with heaps of dried herbs (so much so that it was caught in the back of my husband throat and he coughed for the next two hours). The wings and other dishes brought out to other patrons did look good. Service was as expected and view was nice. But 60 dollars for two steaks that repeated on me through the night was overall what you would expect from a beachside restaurant.

Decided to check Out Windjammers as we were near by and leaving the beach. We didn't have to wait in line but we were told we were not going to be able to get seating outdoors since it was all reserved. " no Problem "! We were ok sitting inside. Our waitress, was nice and greater us at first, asked for our orders but then...she came back and mentioned GF bread was no Longer available because they had run out. Bummer!! I was set on a crab and lobster sandwich I really wanted. Instead I order street tacos, mahi kind. Food didn't take long to Come out but the service was a different story. We waited 40 min for a pitcher of water, and 40 Min for ketchup. For ketchup we had to get up and get our own from another table. Not too happy about that. Going back to the food.. my street tacos were just ok. Everything had a kick to it, somewhat spicy and since I don't like spicy I didn't enjoy it. Service definitely could have been better.. the place was really nice with a lovely view to the ocean.. I'm Honestly not sure if I'd be back..

    Jungle bird cocktail was delightful!

Update If you're…read morelooking for a spot that nails the classics while still feeling fresh and fun, Pooch's Pour House is it. From the moment you walk in, the atmosphere is welcoming--laid‑back enough for a casual night out, but with just the right buzz to make it feel special. Wings: Hands down some of the best wings around. Perfectly crispy on the outside, juicy on the inside, and tossed in sauces that actually taste crafted rather than generic. The buffalo has that ideal balance of tang and heat, while the honey BBQ hits with smoky sweetness. What impressed me most was consistency--every wing came out cooked to perfection, no soggy bites, no overdone edges. Nachos: The nachos are a showstopper. A generous pile that doesn't skimp on toppings--every layer has cheese, jalapeños, and savory goodness, not just the top. The house‑made queso is rich and creamy, and the fresh pico adds a bright kick that keeps the dish from feeling heavy. It's the kind of plate that's perfect for sharing, though you'll be tempted to keep it all to yourself. Beyond the food, the staff is attentive without hovering, and the drinks are cold and reasonably priced. It's the kind of place where you can settle in for a game, a night with friends, or just indulge in comfort food done right. Bottom line: Pooch's Pour House delivers wings and nachos that set the bar high, and the overall vibe makes it a spot worth returning to again and again.

Another had a burger which was ordered as medium rare but came out medium (hence the 4 stars vs 5). We did not return it as the difference was subtle. The waiter did ask how our food was and we opted not to mention it. Overall, the portions were average, the prices were very good, the quality (taste) was also very good. What I loved the most was that although the place was packed, the acoustics were exceptional. We sat in the bar area and there was no need to lean in to converse. No shouting. We got take out which automatically lowers expectations but of 5 orders, we were missing 4 sides: 2 Cole slaw, 1 fries, and a Caesar salad. Pretty disappointing. Additionally, literally everything was oversalted, per everyone's taste buds. We ordered 2 cold and 1 hot lobster rolls, 1 stuffed shrimp, 1 pork cutlet, and 1 lobster bisque. The buns for the lobster rolls were nice but not grilled. The pork cutlet was covered with hot peppers, advertised for sure as cherry peppers, but if you don't like very spicey, avoid this entree. The Haversham has a good bar scene and may have good bar food but entrees are priced on the higher side and they need to get the salt and service issues under control!
