Second trip for lunch in the past two months. First problem, both visits we experienced 20 to 30 minute waits in the drive thru line. Once I got to the ordering station I was asked to wait again. After an approximately five to ten minute wait, the nice lady took my order. I say nice lady because she was very nice and apologized more than once for our wait. Once we made it to the pick up window after a fairly short wait we did get our order and the lady once again apologized for our wait. You know it's bad when you receive three apologies on the same visit. I have to admit I'm not a huge White Castle fan to start with. However my wife needs a double cheeseburger fix every now and then. After this visit I told my wife she'll have to go solo next time she needs her double cheeseburger fix. read more

And White Castle will surprise you with other items as well. Their chicken sandwiches are terrific. I can't endorse eating here often. It's a lot for the body to endure. I'm a White Castle's fan, have been since I was a child and will probably always be. I've found that not all locations are the same. I prefer this location over New Albany. This Hwy 31 location will have items stocked while the New Albany location won't (i.e., sweet potato fries when they were a menu item - I experienced this at least 3 times), their burgers and fries are always fresh and pipin hot. This means the hamburger buns are soft and the fries are too hot to immediately grab and take a bite. The drive-thru employees are friendly and work the line quick. read more

We stop at this location every time we are in town. The service is always fast. The cheeseburgers and fries are always good. Its clean with plenty parking but the bldg. is outdated. The restrooms accommodate only one person at a time and the dining room is small with the seating too close together as they tried to provide more tables. This was a terrible experience, we sat in the drive thru line for at least 30-35 min, THEN we had to sit out front for another 10 min to get our food AND THEN we made the mistake of not checking our food before we left and when we got back to our house we were missing our onion rings and French fries. We spent $63 dollars and didn't get some of our order. I called to the store and spoke with a Samantha and her customer service was terrible. Possibly one of the best fast food restaurants there is. Everything on their menu is good or very good (except the fries, opt for moz sticks or chicen rings instead of fries). However, when you come here, don't expect a meal like a sit down restaurant. White Castle excels at the really cheap comfort food. The sliders are a personal favorite, plain, with cheese, or with jalpeno cheese. All are delicious. Breakfast is served all day here. They have innovated and created the waffle slider that comes in several varieties. My personal favorite is the chicken and waffle. A juicy fried chicken breast smothered with breakfast gravy and bacon between 2 waffle "buns". Its like heaven for breakfast. Lastly, they have the best Big Red money can buy. A slider without a Big Red should be considered blasphemous! One drawback to white castle is the service. It may not always be fast, it may not even be acceptable, but the food is worth the shit you have to put up with to get it. Oh my gosh! This place is horrible! The ladies behind the counter are so freakin rude they stare at you in extreme impatience and they never said 'thank you'. The food is good. White Castle is a staple in the game. But this location doesn't seem like the talk of the Town. So I ordered a double burger meal with a side sack of onion rings. They forgot my fries. I didn't bother to call because I didn't want it anyway. Just needed to get above the minimum, but then there's never to ketchup in the back when I order or napkins. The last time there was no straw. These are the simple things that make or break businesses. I mean simple common courtesy will help you to remember those small details that matter. So probably the dirtiest fast food restaurant I've ever walked into. Trash was over flowing, floors and tables were very dirty. There was even a cockroach crawling around on the floor. Looked like they haven't cleaned the lobby in a week. The food wasn't terrible. Bread was a bit soggy but I just hope I don't get sick from it. The girl taking orders ignored me, blatantly. We had ordered food then was going to get a to-go order for the kids at home. When I returned to the counter the girl who was supposed to take orders was standing there on the phone. I assume by the conversation, which I heard, that she was speaking to another employee to attempt to get her shift covered. She stood there for 15 minutes, locked eyes with me numerous times, and then walked away! What should have been a 2 minute interchange ended up as a 20 minute ordeal!
