Very disappointed! Total waste. Original burrito was no more than a house salad with a lump of dough in the middle. Lettuce was wilted and mostly brown. The service wasnt much better. Thai particular one is on Dutchman's lane right across from Norton's women and children hospital. Skyline chili is one of the those polarizing brands. People either love it or they hate it. My wife and kids hate it. So I never get to eat it. I'm personally am a fan. There chili cheese coneys is my favorite chili cheese dogs. They load it up with tons of yummy shredded cheese and the signature chili. Being across from the womens and children hospital and the birth of my 5th daughter I had the perfect excuse to walk across the street to finally try this location. The wife was getting hospital food and I was in need for a lunch so I made the short walk across Dutchman's lane. The only other local skyline I can remember going to is the one in the highlands of bardstown Road. Of memory this location is much larger. Pretty spacious inside and on my visit here I received very fast and very prompt service. The tables needed to be wiped down a little better but outside of that it was a good experience. I got 3 chili cheese coneys and enjoyed every single bite of the guaranteed future heartburn meal. They had always loaded these things with cheese but I feel like this was even more then in the past. After eating my 3 dogs I had enough cheese that tumbled off the top to put on 3 more coney dogs. I'm a cheese fan so this works for me. Overall very quick and tasty service. Glad I finally had the perfect opportunity to come here and check out This location. Maybe one day my wife and kids will join the skyline chili is good crowd and I come here more often. read more

I visit this store frequently due to only one in southern,In closing suddenly.. I always have the same thing medium five way wet with everything 2 cheese coneys loaded with mustard add lots of hot sauce and it's always great. Staff is always courteous and a tentative. I recommend this establishment and usually if we're lucky we get extra crackers. I'll make the trip from Indiana over to this franchise at least once a week and highly recommend it. read more

What can I say! Skyline is always good and consistent. They keep the recipe the same so there is no messing things up. I love the taste of the chili. You either really love it or you dont. This is the loaded chili bowl which consist of chili, onions,cheese,beans,sour cream and crackers on the side. I love the salty oyster crackers. They add just the right touch to the chili. I always add a little bit of everything on my spoon instead of mixing it all up together. The service is usually good,specially when its not that busy. The price is very reasonable too. The coneys are also very tasty as well. If you havent had Skyline before its hard to describe the taste to people that havent tried it. My pregnant wife and I are currently sitting in the ER next door due to the food poisoning that followed from eating here. She is currently going through the ringer right now trying to get rehydrated. The service was abysmal, the workers were impressively slow (the restaurant was empty besides one other couple and a man at the bar), and lastly the lady who served and made our food did so with no gloves on and I'm assuming she didn't care to wash her hands neither. read more

I was looking for a quick bite after a doctors appointment, across the street, had found Skyline Chili online and read up on it a bit. Before I move to Kentucky, I had heard about "Cincinnati Chili"... how it is unique to the area and has a distinctive cinnamon flavor. I popped in and was a bit unsure as to how to proceed because I wasn't sure if I should order at the counter, or just sit down? Ultimately, you just sit down and somebody eventually comes over and takes your order. It seems like a lot of people just know what they want because the waitress asked if I knew what I wanted before offering me a menu. Having never been there before, she got me a menu to look over. My waitress was polite and my food came quickly. I ordered two conies, and I'm glad I did because they are absolutely TINY.. served on a bread plate, which, to be honest, was more than a little awkward to eat from. I enjoyed them, but I can't say I'm a huge fan of Cincinnati Chili. I know that some people are diehards... I'm just not one of them! The establishment itself seemed to be extremely popular and was very crowded. And while I enjoyed giving it a try, it's not something that I will be seeking out again. I got it to go and I will say I appreciated that they packed all the toppings separately (i.e., the onions and cheese). That made it much nicer to pull the dish together once I got home. Alright, folks - now I "get" the appeal of this establishment and why people love it. Apparently, the special ingredient that makes it taste so distinct is cinnamon. A few months ago, I ate a few chili cheese dogs at a Skyline Chili at the Cincinnati Zoo, and now I'm completely addicted/hooked. So, I recently went through the drive through for chili cheese dogs at this location. It's just wasn't as tasty as I remember. It hit the spot, but the chili didn't taste right - maybe kind of rancid or old, like its been sitting out too long? Plus, it wasn't even warm. Whyyyyyy?!?!!! As far as Skyline Chili goes, this location is solid! The service is quick, the building is clean and nicely decorated, and the chili is exactly how you would expect it to be. I recommend giving the black beans a try. I do not eat meat, so I am out of luck on the regular chili. I choose to get a baked potato loaded with black beans, cheese, and sour cream. Is it SOOOO good. Next time you want something quick and don't mind hitting a chain restaurant, give Skyline the ol' college try. I think you will be glad that you did. read more
