Because the late night memories created here since my childhood may be better than anything I will ever eat at this fast food chain that has its own movie. On a recent night after dinner, two of us felt unsatisfied and still needed something small to satiate our appetites. However, we were also not that hungry. so we ended up here for just the right amount of food. Yes, I know. The bread is mushy, the meat is steamed, and the portions are tiny. Regardless, it hits the spot for no apparent reason except it's what we craved. Lol Every once in a while, my friends also bring a couple of crave cases to my house for pot luck parties. Everyone jokes about not eating too many murder burgers, but they always seem to disappear quickly. I guess we all crave some nostalgia sometimes. read more

The service is way to god dam slow as hell when the server takes your order their are slow as hell to getting around buy getting or order but when I get my food it is stone and when said to the manager the my four cheeseburgers sliders are stone the manager said once they come off grill there's on going back the place is currently so god dam filthy The place has gotten garbage pouring out trash can and on to the floor the manger wouldn't clean it up or if as soda spilled on the floor the manger would leave it there so it would dry up and leave a sticky residue on the floor read more

I probably visited this White Castle over 20 years ago, (maybe more LOL). ...when Macy's was nearby....and maybe even Alexander's Dept. I can't believe this white castle in queens is still around and I am glad it is cause my guilty pleasure craving is running wild and even better no wait on drive thru . They ain't called murder burgers for the wrong reasons and that's cool cause 5 white castle burgers with no onions, a small order of chicken rings (luv them ) and a large diet coke is going to count as my early lunch and afternoon snack till dinner time . They have the usual menu with a few newbies like veggie burgers , etc, but let's keep it simple as my tummy will rumble like the jungle in less then an hour . I have never understood the craze behind White Castle. I am not a fast-food person but I will say they must be doing something right for it to stay in business on Queens Blvd. I walked on to get some munchies for my older brother and the place was packed! When it was my turn to order, the young man told me to stay on line and that the girl to his left would help me. Um, ok. I placed quite a large order with the young lady who was very nice: 10 fish sandwiches or burgers, six impossibles, two orders of fries, one order of onion rings, and one order of fish nibblers. Not too long of a wait ensued but when my order was called up, the same young man gave me the bags. It is a good thing that I always double-check before I exit anyplace because he had forgotten to place inside my six Impossible sandwiches. Moreover, after I told him (very nicely, btw) about it, he never offered an apology. Weird. Anyway, the total price of purchase was $64 and change which I thought was quite pricey. You know what you're stepping into when you visit this location at midnight on a weekend. The cheap sliders, the quick turnaround, people sleeping in the booths. White Castle has consistently provided a quick bite at such a low price point I can't even complain about the food. Whether or not you'll get asked for spare change is another story but the sliders were hot and good (for what they are) and the fries were well done (asked for them to be crispier). Today they dropped the ball. Only one person at the cash register. One customer in front of me. Took a while to place order. When I went to pay the cashier left. Thought she bringing coffee. She said she put coffee together with the burgers. More people came into store- app/online orders picking up food, more customers coming in. All the customers after me placed orders and got their food. At one point cashier holding two coffees and taking order. She was not able to multi-task and give me coffee so I had to wait. After a while, I asked where are the 6 burgers??? One customer waiting for food said they forget something which is common. Staff just looked at each other. There is a screen of orders in system. Someone did not look. They have been slow with getting customers orders and out. One customer said I was here before that guy and he got his food. Only come here because of dad who likes White Castle Hamburgers. Staff do no acknowledge you. They Just say next. You just form a line or ask if person next to you placed and order. Long wait for food. Happened numerous time at this store. Had to ask for creamer numerous times. They only open the men's room for customer use. Ate here today for lunch after working as a substitute paraprofessional at I.S. 227 Q and before working again as a substitute paraprofessional at P.S. 7 Q. I definitely missed eating at White Castle and I'm glad this place still exists that it reopened recently. This place is an institution. In the early 90s they had a spot where you could see the burgers being made through a window between the seating area and the grill. The fries now are much better than I remember them being as a kid. When I was a kid I could easily put away eight burgers. Now I get the impossible sliders and they're great. Although I associate White Castle with the East Coast, I am in error. I looked it up. White Castle started in Wichita, Kansas. I remember when it opened up in Canton, Michigan, a far west suburb of Detroit, when I was a teenager, just after the Bicentennial, and I started to frequent it. My parents, immigrants from China via Taiwan, were partial to White Castle burgers. Their size and the steam grilling preparation method reminded them of Chinese buns. So we went there more than we did to its rivals. They were conveniently close, just off the highway that we would take to get anywhere beyond our town. When I moved to Queens, I looked forward to dining at White Castle. I misspeak again: I almost always order for takeout. I mean being a customer of this beloved chain. They also have a place in my heart due to their role in the Harold and Kumar movies, which made Hollywood history for Asian Americans. What I most like is that you can eat a sack of their offerings. That means I can have a vegetarian patty, a fish sandwich, and a cheeseburger. If I am especially hungry, I could even finish off five of these. That many might lead to regret later in the day. Of the fast food chains, they are my favorite. I may be mistaken, but I believe their relative sparsity is due to their not using the model of the franchise. The only other note to add is that you cannot walk through the drive through. I wish you could, while on foot, order 24/7. While I am disappointed, on a trek I sometimes take from my home in Queens for a regular meeting in Manhattan, a good 2:30 hike, there is another White Castle farther west that is open for business by the time I pass by. Why do places like this taste better the later after midnight you go? When I used to live nearby here, this was my after midnight stomping ground! I will say that I usually avoid eating inside a WC, the front of house isn't taken care of too nicely... Customers do not clean up after themselves! Be kind, throw your **** away when you are done, please don't leave it on the table.. From sliders to cheeeeeeeese sticks, WC is the best! I usually stick to the cheese sticks and 2-4 sliders. I also try not to get fries to often, they do not hold up for longer than a few minutes. Cheese sticks, you have about 20 minutes, but by the time I am 3 blocks away, half of them are gone anyway lol! The belly bombers are epic! Are they worth the $1 that they are now? I do not think so... There are other slider places that give you considerably more bang for your buck! My go to drink here is the sweet tea! IDK why, but its amazing here!!!! Staff is usually pretty friendly. Some advice, speak loud clear and slow, not all of them know English first. I have seen people yell because they didn't understand. I get depressed when I see that and I apologize to them when I get to the window. The staff never deserves that! It pays to be kind!!!! All in all a great WC, right off the highway. This location is ideal for white castle, it is not to far from the mall and it is on queens blvd .this is the only white castle on queens blvd .I have been coming to this particular white castle since I was a kid .we would leave QCM and head over to white castle. This white castle has been a fixture on queens blvd for decades. And it is also a landmark. This particular location is a decent size ,so a nice amount of people can dine in this place .but you know what ever white castle you are in. You will be getting that classic white castle taste .some things may change but those good old fashioned white castle cheese burgers stay the same. A taste that has stood the test of time. It is a taste I never got tired of. My favorite is the cheese burgers you cant just eat one .and there waffle and chicken sliders are very good. The staff is always friendly and courteous. This place is like a typical fast food joint except the burgers are little heavenly sliders! I had a late night craving so I decided to come here at 12:30am. Thank god they are 24/7! I went through their drive thru and their service was a little slow. I waited 10 mins for the the employee to be ready to take the order of the car in front of me (no other cars in front of them) and another 10 mins for that car to place their order. No biggie tho! At least, I was in my car. I got the family combo # 8 - 10 sliders, chicken rings and fries. The sliders were good. I like the cheeseburgers more than the regular hamburger. In the meantime I tried pointlessly looking for club soda/seltzer water by the state-of-the art but filthy Coke machine. No club soda. For those of you that may not be familiar with club soda, it is the base of all flavored carbonated drinks. The way these machines work is that they add your favorite flavor to somewhat flavorless club soda and then serve it to you. To put is differently, they have club soda but nobody bothered including the option. Note to management: you make more money on club soda than by serving Coke. Since the "fast" disappointed, food was all that was left to redeem the joint. My "1921" slider with cheese and two habanero laden sliders were cold. Wanted something quick and learned that they offer plant based burgers. They have the veggie sliders and the impossible sliders. I opted for the impossible slider combo with French fries. It was very good, so much so that I wanted to Order two more. Location has a parking lot. They are very close to the mal so traffic and the restaurant can be congested. I didn't have any issues finding a parking spot in their lot, few tables were open for dining in. I will definitely return when I am wanting plant based fast food. OMG! I loveeee this place. Its White Castle! What else is there to really say? The employees here are so nice and friendly. They really are doing the lords work. Working fast food is not easy and they always seem to keep their cool under pressure. Deep fried and greasy food always delivers. Yes, its unhealthy, but its comfort food. And who cares that its so unhealthy it'll kill a charging Rhino from Africa. My only complaint is the staff here. Yes, they are very friendly and helpful, but none of them speak English. They aren't fluent in it and i feel at times that a basic order of burgers and cheese fries can get screwed up due to their limited grasp of the English language. They are all hard working, but i feel like it is a challenge all in itself communicating with them on basic fast food. Despite this, please check this place out and support them. I think the cheeseburger uses kangaroo meat, or some exotic mystery meat because i always have to run to the bathroom after i come in here. I can't remember when was the last time I went to White Castles, but it was probably at this location. They're almost extinct around midtown and in the outskirts of NYC. They're available in frozen burger form in many supermarkets but it's not really the same when you nuke it yourself. I discovered they had a promo to get you to use their mobile app by giving away a free combo meal. I'm down for that, so I loaded it up and gave it a go. The signup was easy but the getting your food part wasn't that great. The place didn't seem to know I had an order even though you have to put in a time which is around 15 mins from when you order. So it took longer to get my food, but the place was empty so it took around 5 minutes. They give you 4 cheeseburgers which your choice of cheese (no cheese option wasn't available on the app), small fries and small drink (drink looked like a large tho). I tried the Jalapeno cheese and it had a nice little kick to it. Thumbs up for that. My stomach didn't feel that great after the meal, but that's to be expected. read more

I can't say I come to this location all the time but when it is late at night and all the other stores are pretty much closed at the Mall then this is the place to eat. I just got the two double cheeseburgers, 1 BBQ slider and a sack of fries here a few days ago. It did it job and got me full after 11pm at night like I said with not many other food options around. *This location does offer some stuff I never seen, like you can get rice and beans as a side or to go with your burger instead of fries. I am a regular at this White Castle. My wife drops me off on her way to work and I grab a coffee here a couple times a week. I order food sometimes too. The morning staff here is amazing. They are always doing something. If there aren't any costumers they are cleaning the dining area. They are hard working and pleasant to deal with. I honestly feel that the morning staff here is the best around. They know that sometimes I'm in a rush to get food because my wife has to get to work earlier then me so they told me to call up and order over the phone. When I arrive the food is ready. This is above and beyond in my opinion. If I were to ever open my own place I would want a crew like them running the show. read more

Ok so I returned cuz I was given another coupon in hopes of drowning out that terrible memory of that Impossible burger.. well that helped! I tried a combo #2 which is fries, 2 double cheeseburgers and a drink. I actually like crinkle cut fries and these were actually pretty good. Seasoned well, didn't need ketchup. I shared my meal with L. The double cheeseburger was tasty. Melted cheese, lots of onions, kinda salty. L chose Coke with lemon since he said he didn't see regular Coke. A bit odd, but the lemon actually worked. Gave a nice citrus flavor at the end. Tasted a lot better than reg. Coke. Why 3 stars? It would've cost around $8 for 2 lil burgers, small fries and a fountain soda? I could've easily eaten the entire thing myself and I doubt I would've been full. I may not look like Kal Penn or John Cho but I know that White Castle burgers are definitely a guilty pleasure. I will say that I had a craving for them after a certain elite event that I will not name but their sliders are definitely easy to share and you can probably down like 4 in like 2 minutes. Definitely something that brings back my high school days. Some onion rings, refillable soda fountain, and those mini burger sliders. Its not a real patty its like the thickness of a piece of deli ham and they do charge you extra for cheese but sometimes we all order a crave case when we get together to hang out or watch a movie. It's like a suitcase filled with burgers. They now have strange things like rice and beans, chicken rings, clam strips and fish sandwiches. The chicken ring slider is not worth it since its only 2 rings inside a little bun and they are flat and not very thick. I also tried the chocolate dipped cheesecake pop which was terrible and very tasteless. It had no flavor, mealy consistency and was very tiny much smaller than the burger king pies. I guess like all white castles the thing to worry about is the clientele and I would have to say there are some unsavory characters that hang out outside of this restaurant. But if you don't want to stay you can also use the drive through. Also do not park here unless you are eating here. I have seen them tow several cars. If you think you can park here to go to the nearby mall don't do it! But definitely a good place to have a mini burger eating contest and show off your burger double fisting technique or just hang out and grab some quick grub after a day shopping at the nearby Queens Center. read more

Here's why: 1) jalapeno cheese: enough said... 2) crinkle fries: better than most places; maybe not BK though... 3) chicken rings 4) fried clams 5) open 24 hours!!!! If it's the weekend and it's after midnight, i definitely suggest getting your order at the drive-thru because the inside is a mad house. I'm a fan of White Castle sliders, even if they are fast food, so I ordered some for delivery through Yelp. Took 45 minutes, which is normal. The fish sliders had patties that were about twice as thick as regular sliders, and they were nice. The chicken rings were juicy enough given that they are thin onion-ring-sized pieces of chicken. The fries were kind of limp and boring. Loved the regular sliders as always. Each slider came in its own cardboard sleeve. They gave me a lot of ketchup and honey mustard packets. Probably weighed more than 3 sliders. As for value, at 85 cents per 2 oz original slider, White Castle's not bad.
