I ordered 2 double cheese sliders one with cheddar and one with jalapeno cheese, a 6 piece chicken ring and a sausage egg and cheese slider. I asked if the prepare the breakfast items freshly or not and I was told yes it would take about 2/3 minutes to make the breakfast items freshly. Once I got in the car and bit into the breakfast slider the sausage was warm but the egg was ice cold. The cheddar and the jalapeno cheese sliders are ok but I was stick with the original version. I was traveling through the area and never tried White Castle so I figured I would give it a shot. Tried a little bit of everything. The sliders were good and the barbecue was okay, I liked the barbecue but it felt like too much bread. The fries were on point, while the new cheese tots lacked a cheesy flavor. Since moving to the West Coast, I have not had White Castle in a few years and was excited to try the Impossible Slider. Unfortunately, it was not quite the experience I was expecting. Upon pulling up to the drive-thru, the gentleman taking my order was neither friendly nor helpful. In fact, it seemed as if he was annoyed to be working. I decided to try three Impossible Sliders and a side of fries. Once I pulled up to the window and paid, I waited what felt like an extremely long time for my food. I tried to ask for ketchup, but the employees were talking amongst themselves and not paying much attention to anything else. The burgers were pretty good (considering I ordered them without cheese). White Castle in general seems to be a "love it or hate it" food. People who have never had it seem to be repulsed by it, as it's not what they're expecting. But folks like me who grew up with White Castle sliders, every once in a while you get the "cravin" and you just gotta have it man! The way that thin slider and cheese melds with the onions and bun into one.... It's like nothing else. This was my first time at this location, we went thru the drive-thru for some cheeseburgers. Everything tasted great and was out in a timely manner. My only gripe was that the onions weren't cooked long enough; the minced onions shouldn't be crunchy at all. I have now been to White Castle twice and I REALLY want to like it but I guess I've either had bad experiences or it's just not for me. I will say the service was good. The speed of service was good. The cleanliness and presentation was good. But it ended there for me. The fries were hot and fresh but they were boring and I LOVE crinkle fries. They had 0 flavor. And the burgers were hot and fresh but yet they were soggy and I don't know it just felt like I was eating a wet burger. Who wants a wet burger. I hear all the hype and wonder what I am missing. I guess I could try some of the other menu items but if their feature item - what they are all about - is this bad, how can the other items be good? Perhaps I'll stop again when I see one. Slowest service I ever had in fast food. Stopped on a road trip and it took 10 minutes to have someone talk to us and even longer for the food. Asked for ketchup and when I came up to ask for it, she rolled her eyes. I get that it's busy but you should have more food prepared and handle the both drive thru and dine in- not just focusing on drive thru. Negative reviews for White Castle seem to come for people who are trying it for the first time. Don't go to White Castle expecting a regular burger. First stop off the highway after crossing the PA-NJ border. Sliders were awesome, fries were frozen, milkshake wasn't even a milkshake, just a cup on chocolate milk. This was my first experience at White Castle, and if I went back I'd just buy sliders. Everything else on the menu seems to be garbage, except for possibly the mozzarella sticks. I am glad I went to try this for once in my life but I probably wouldn't go again. I get that the burgers are very "budget friendly" - having said that, you do get what you pay for - not much. The beef was as skinny as a slice of lunch meat in the sliders. Fries and onion rings were not fresh. The burgers were all pre made and just sitting on the grill waiting to be set on someone's tray. My BF actually pointed out that when he pulled the onion ring apart, there was actually no real onion inside. Eek. Trying not to think about that too much. In comparison to other white castles, this one is pretty good. Employees are nice and the food came out fast. I live the burgers but they are not made of meat! Go online and read about it. The greatest thing about here is the fact you can basically order one of each item on the menu an have a variety of food for under 15 bucks! This place has an iconic aura about it. This was my first trip to White Castle. I ordered a regular burger, a cheeseburger, a bacon cheeseburger & a jalapeño burger. I walked in and was the sole customer inside. Most of their business was drive-thru. The employees were cordial and patient. Remember this was my first time. So, I had to look over the menu to see what my options were. They also serve chicken and fish sliders. My sliders were freshly made. So they were hot and the buns were soft. The burger itself was very thin. I'd compare it to a slice of old school lunch meat. The flavor of the burgers was just ok. Not flavor in a thin slice of meat. If you've never eaten at White Castle before give it a try. Your taste for burgers may differ than mine. read more

The lady who working the front was on her game and made sure everything was on point. She made sure we had our order while our cheese sticks were still cooking. It's a phenomenon that I will never get... but every now and then I'll get drawn in to buy a meal. So I stop in this fine establishment against my better judgement one day for lunch. As much as I tried to keep it simple, even ordering was a chore with the young lady at the register. I tell her what I don't want on a burger, and she repeats it back to me wrong. Then gets annoyed as if I was asking for a burger cooked slightly medium, but not too rare... All I wanted was one of the usual toppings to not be put on the burger. My husband has been raving about White Castle, he often stops to get it on his way up to New York. We were in NJ, saw a sign for White Castle on the highway and decided to get some burgers. I will be honest - I really thought about going with one star. Heck, if you could do NO stars that would be my vote. But my husband felt that two stars was the way to go because White Castle as a whole is good but this location was so very bad. First of all there were SEVEN people behind the counter and the place was filthy. Literally every table was dirty. Only two stalls in the ladies room and one was out of toilet paper and the sink was clogged with toilet paper (perhaps these two problems are connected?) The station with the soda and napkins was disgusting, lots of ice in the tray and the one diet soda was broken. When we came in there were a lot of people in the dining area and waiting in line but even as things slowed down no effort was made to clean anything. When we left there was not a single person in the drive thru and we were the only people in the dining area yet the 7 workers were just hanging out behind the counter. As for the food? Meh. My buns were soggy and the burgers were okay but nothing anything special. My advice? Stay away! We certainly wouldn't go back. read more

Let me start with the positive. The food was good, well it was exactly what I wanted, greasy White Castle ;-). It was also hot, always a plus. This is actually why I'm giving them two stars. From here it went down hill very quickly. Again, this is White Castle so it went in with my eyes wide open. The place was dirty and not cleaned at all. Food and napkins all over the place and multiple ketchup spills well dried on tables a chairs. Then there were the fruit flies at the condiment area - yuck! It's not like they were busy, because they were not. If it was that dirty where customers visit I shudder to think what it looks like behind the counter. The memory of the bugs will haunt me enough that I doubt I will return in the future. Maybe in a couple years I'll walk in to check it out but most likely I'll never return.
