We stayed overnight in late March. The room was very clean and smelled fresh. The only strange thing which really amused me was breakfast which was handed to me at check in. It's Covid time so I understand that things are not normal. For the price, the cleanliness etc, and the proximity to the south entrance to Yosemite this place is a steal. I would stay here again.

For the price of $50 per night, this lodge is hard to beat in the Yosemite area, especially around Fish Camp. It's very affordable, and your room will have a shower and heater too! :) Just keep in mind that it's very basic, a microwave, fridge, heater, small tv, and restroom. They even offer continental breakfast in the morning (which we didn't get to try), so it's very economical and cheap. If you're looking for just a place to stay and get some sleep, without breaking your bank, then give this place a shot. It's pretty decent and only 2 miles away from the south entrance of Yosemite National Park!

There honestly aren't a ton of nicer restaurant options nearby unless you want to drive farther out, so this ended up being a great choice. The ambiance was fantastic, the service was good overall, and the food was solid. I especially recommend the poke bowl -- really enjoyed that. Prices were about what you'd expect for the area and the type of restaurant. Our waiter did forget to come back a couple of times after we asked for Diet Pepsi refills, but aside from that, it was a really pleasant experience. We weren't staying at the lodge itself, just visiting after a Yosemite day trip, and I'd definitely recommend it if you're in the area and looking for a nice place to eat.

Service was fantastic and food was delicious. Con: The clubhouse is currently closed for renovations. Typically guests staying in cabins are offered a complimentary breakfast at the clubhouse. With it being closed they offer each guest a free breakfast option up at the lodge at their Grab and Go Deli. First day we went up as family and got our food no problem. The next day, my husband and youngest went and grabbed theirs and went for a hike. My oldest and I went up a bit later. We were informed we could not get it. They informed us we had to be all together and being my husband and daughter had already been we could not receive ours. Spoke to two different people. Front desk said yes of course you can and deli was saying no. Asked to speak to a manager and told her we were never informed that we had to be all together when we checked in. She said well it's "difficult" to keep track of 900 guests and said going forward they would inform guests but we could not get the breakfast. She did offer a shuttle back to the cabin though lol. Which we proudly decline because it was basically a slap in the face. Figure out a better system, you are running a resort. Maybe give each registered guest a voucher at check in. At minimum at least inform your guests at check of the requirement. In the end it wasn't even about the bottle of juice and cereal cup, it was the point of it all. An absolutely demeaning experience.

There was sights of deers, butterflies, and many other creatures to see. The balcony also had comfy rocking chairs which gives a homey feeling. For breakfast there was only a bagel or pastry nothing else. If you're driving there are many restaurants and food places in the towns an hour before B&B inn, but after passing Oakhurst town there will be far drives to be able to go to marts or other food places.

The room we had was the Mariposa room and it was beautiful and large! We were amazed as everything looked clean and there were 2 bathrooms(one had the shower and the other had the toilet). Please make sure to read ALL of the rules that are in BOTH bathrooms that are hanging on the wall(one of them is right near the toilet and the other is in the other bathroom near the hair dryer). Pamela had also greeted us and told us about the continental breakfast and that you are to eat it in your own room. She would later enter your room when you are not there to pick up the dishes. She was also helpful with any questions in regards to what to visit in Yosemite. We loved our private balcony and the view of the stream flowing by. Pamela surprised us by hauling up some rocking sitting chairs on the last night of our stay onto the balcony. We enjoyed that very much and the peacefulness. We also enjoyed the fridge in the room but also wished there was a freezer as well as we had brought our own ice packs. Cons: As much as we did not mind Pamela coming into our room to get the breakfast dishes while we were gone, we did notice a few things that felt odd. First, she took our used shower towels that was hanging on the inside of the horseshoe rack and rehung it on top of the horseshoe rack holder. She even took out the squishy non-slip padding in the shower and rehung it. She made our beds(though we could of sworn that one of the rules was that there was NOT going to be any room cleaning, etc. She took some of our other towels that we had used and replaced it with others(which was fine). BUT, she THREW AWAY my small styrofoam cup that I had left nicely on the sink counter. I had brought it from home and had used it to rinse my mouth after brushing my teeth. Who does that?? Who throws away someone else's things? I was very upset and it kind of made our stay there less enjoyable knowing that someone had gone through your stuff. Overall, it is a nice place to stay with a nice room and view but think about items that belong to you and what things you wouldn't want anyone to touch or throw away. We also suggest you bring your own food as there isn't really a place to eat at except for a place slightly down the street that sells sandwiches(it was good) or at the expensive restaurant at the hotel down the street. If you don't bring your own food, you would need to drive ALL the way back down the windy road into town.

The staff was very friendly and willing to talk about restaurants and the best way to get to Yosemite and other questions that we had. The whole property was well kept and felt very safe easy driving directions to get to our hotel room. We were blessed with a hotel first floor had a great patio out, looking into a wooded area. Parking was very easy we park just a few spots away from our hotel room. They EV charging stations for vehicles and other things plenty of handicap parking all throughout the facility and also a restaurant right in the middle of this place so you don't have to go very far to get good food Speaking of good food, their breakfast buffet by far put it over the top because a lot of times you go to hotels and you get maybe a continental breakfast just a few items and you're not really interested in those items but this breakfast buffet was overwhelming because it was so amazing and on this trip we finally got to eat a good meal at a hotel They had pancake sausage, eggs, different kinds of bacon, like four or five different juices, six or seven different coffees, bagels plenty of people behind the counter to serve you fresh fruit, all kind of stuff and it was well laid out. A very relaxing environment that you can walk in get your breakfast sit down and really enjoy your time there and go back for seconds and know it was gonna be hot and fresh every time so I truly recommend this place because of how relaxing it was how easy it was to get in and out of and the food quality for breakfast was amazing. The only thing that was a little bit still out of date, but still look good was the rooms they are older style rooms not updated like a lot of other places are, but it was an amazing stay great facilities and we will stay here every time we go to Yosemite

A few things, this place can accommodate 4 adults but it is not a two bedroom place as advertised. There is one room upstairs that has two twin beds and one queen bed. Has one bathroom downstairs. The cabin is a bit outdated but I'm not sure what else you expect for a cabin in Fish Camp. It had the essentials though. It had a kitchen, with a lot of pots and pans and utensils, some spices, refrigerator, tv with DVD player and Cable (dish). They had a bbq grill but we couldn't figure out if it was charcoal or gas and we didn't have propane or charcoal so we didn't use it. The beds were not that comfortable and the sheets and pillows seemed old. Actually everything seemed a bit old in the place. We stayed on-site for the Christmas holiday and ate all our meals at the Lodge restaurant and tavern. 1) Lodge Accommodations -We always stay in the Deluxe Cabin - King. It's wonderful, cozy, spacious, and always clean. -The staff has always been exceptional, welcoming, and helpful, especially or despite working over holidays. -The nightly s'mores don't hurt -This holiday trip, Dez and Deneja, did a tremendous job with activities and were overall delightful. -Plenty to do (between hikes, games, and relaxing) to unwind with time away from electronics. 2) Restaurant and Tavern I'll start with the good: -The salads are really good and portion is large. -They have several options to accommodate different dietary restrictions. -Elk meatloaf is consistent and delicious -Sea Bass on Christmas was delightful (my husband's entree dish) -Servers & bar tenders are wonderful The bad: [Christmas Eve] Avoid the trout & gnocchi; trout was extremely dry and I'm not sure you could call whatever we received gnocchi. The "gnocchi" was too mushy, not much shape, and had a very off putting taste & fragrance. The worst: [Christmas] It was a prefixed menu, with delicious sounding options. One of the options was a Scotch Egg, seemed like an appropriate choice given the holiday. My husband chose the salad. I wish I had chosen the soup. When the scotch egg arrived, it looked good. Upon cutting, the pork/sausage was raw. The server, Cara (who was amazing the whole meal), apologized and took the dish back. The kitchen made a second attempt and the restaurant or kitchen manager stated that she watched them cook this one longer to ensure it was fully cooked. Well, it was more cooked than the last attempt. However, there were still clearly raw sections closer to the egg. Now, I can understand this isn't a regular menu dish, things happen, usually not a big deal. Yet, the restaurant or kitchen manager (didn't catch her name), decided to gaslight me instead. She said the pink bits are expected given that they use paprika (If that was the case, the rest of the meat wouldn't change colors when cooked nor would it be a different texture). She stated they only had the salad or I'd have to accept this, they were out of other options. Fair. Obviously, I didn't want food poisoning and didn't accept it. Cara did provide a 10% discount and, again, was extremely lovely the whole time. The tone and gaslighting from the restaurant or kitchen manager was completely unacceptable and off putting. We've stayed at Evergreen Lodge multiple times, included over the holidays; dining at the Restaurant and Lodge the majority of meals, with acceptable or great experiences. We'll continue to stay at Evergreen Lodge, but either dine at Rush Creek or select safer/regular menu items when dining here again.

The price was a bit high for what we got, but it was the closest hotel with decent reviews that had availability still (can you tell we procrastinated planning this trip lol). I dislike that they didn't put a fitted sheet on the mattress. A flat sheet will just end up moving around and revealing the mattress. There was also no mattress cover, so it made me feel gross when the sheet moved and I was touching the actual mattress. It's a great location and pretty close to a lot of things to see and do. Only about another 30-40 minute drive until you are in Yosemite. There's also a fridge, which was helpful for the food that we were bringing hiking with us. We had a strange experience with the guest in the room next to us. The parking lot is right outside the room doors and it's a very small parking lot, so imo it really doesn't matter where you park. The first night we got there, we dropped off our stuff and went back out to try to catch the sunset. When we came back that night, we parked in the space near our room since it was available. The man in the room next to us happened to be right behind us in his car, and after we parked and got out, he got out of his car and told us we were "in his spot" because "that's his room" then pointed to the room right next to ours, as if the spaces were reserved. We ended up moving and letting him have his way. I know this isn't the hotels fault, but I'm just writing this to warn people that other guests might feel very strongly about being able to park in front of their room, so just beware lol.
