Idle Restaurant on site is exceptional. Loved the unique food and great service. A wine tasting patio closer to the rooms and office with a great view of the "river". Enjoyed hiking in and around the property. Very reasonably priced but if you've never been there, best to arrive during daylight hours since the property is down a driveway about 100 yards down a hill.

We found out about Bass Lake and never would have known what a great local place it is. We stayed in the Cedar room and it exceeded our expectations. The room was a good size, huge bathroom and little mini fridge. Double doors opened to the outside and we had the main door that opened to the hallway. Our room was at the very beginning so no noise at all. The AC was cool and the fan was quiet. We enjoyed the bed and breakfast concept and mingled with the other patrons while we were there. Everyone was very friendly and we all talked about Yosemite and our experiences. I recommend stating here for the great price and atmosphere, along with all the amenities. Thanks Eddie!!!

I always choose the SEQUOIA ROOM... which will blow your mind: superb decoration, every detail is beautiful, the bathroom is huge with a double shower and comes equipped with anything you could ask for... the bed is amazing and besides you have a sofa bed and and extra bed for more people. You like to watch cable in bed? yeah... every room comes with Satellite TV and flat screens. Like if this wasn't enough.. you have free wifi of course, a F1 grill if you like bbq'ing and a HUGE deck if you want to just sit down and stare at the beauty of the pine populated mountains. Super quiet place, clear skies... just 15 mins away from the entrance of Yosemite park. I think its a must to give this place a chance. The heated tent cabins and wooden cabins are fantastic--consistently clean and remarkably well-maintained, especially considering the heavy volume of visitors they host season after season. You get a comfortable place to sleep right in the heart of the valley, surrounded by stunning views and nature. A quick pro-tip for first-timers: Most of the individual units do not have electrical outlets. If you need to keep your devices charged, you'll want to plan ahead and juice up your phones over in the village restaurant dining area. It is the absolute best way to "camp" comfortably while still soaking in the great outdoors. Highly recommended!

While they do have a place to stay in Curry Village, this review is more for the restaurants and businesses they offer. We visited Bar 1899, Peet's Coffee, Pizza Deck and the swimming pool! The swimming pool was awesome and free - they provide towels! My favorite part of the pool was the gorgeous mountain backdrop though. Curry Village also had a larger store with snacks and souvenirs plus other food places like Seven Tents Pavilion, Meadow Grill and Coffee Corner. They even had an ice cream place as well. They had a large patio area with tables and umbrellas, but then also a large dining area inside as well. They offer a free bus to Curry Village too. If you're visiting Yosemite and need some place to check out - I recommend Curry Village!

Then I receive an email being called a grinch, told I hope I receive coal.. like are you a toddler or a business owner? The lady screams at me about her mom dying like it's my fault? Get a drip or stop doing business, the world is evolving and when someone chooses safety and health over your stupid profits get a life and don't threaten/harass your would be customers.

I also loved that the air conditioning was already on when we arrived--it made the room feel welcoming and comfortable right away. If you're staying here, I definitely recommend checking out Oakhurst Grill & Whiskey Lounge 41. The steak was delicious! Pandori Express, the Indian restaurant nearby, was also excellent. The continental breakfast was another highlight. The ladies taking care of the breakfast area were absolutely amazing and truly went above and beyond. They worked hard to keep everything clean, organized, and stocked, and they were so attentive to the guests. They really deserve to be recognized for their excellent service. The gentleman who checked us in that morning was also very helpful and provided great customer and suggestions. I would definitely give him five stars as well. I do have a couple of constructive observations that I hope management will take in the spirit intended. In the afternoon, there was a young lady with long hair at the front desk. I didn't get her name, but unfortunately, her customer service came across as though she didn't really want to be there. When you speak with her, she answers the question, but there isn't much eye contact or engagement. There was also no greeting or goodbye. At one point during breakfast, I mentioned to her that the coffee was out. She acknowledged it, but when we were leaving, I checked the same pot and the coffee still had not been refilled. I think some additional customer-service training could be helpful. A simple hello, eye contact, a friendly attitude, and a goodbye can make a big difference in a guest's experience. One other small observation was the bottom of the shower. It had a somewhat dirty appearance. I understand this may be partly due to the type of material or finish used, and I'm not necessarily saying it wasn't cleaned. However, the material seems to hold onto a look that makes the shower floor appear dirty even when it may be clean. It would be great if the hotel could find a better cleaning solution or consider a different finish/material that would eliminate that appearance. Overall, though, I had a good experience. The hotel was clean, comfortable, and accommodating, and I would definitely come back. The breakfast staff and morning front-desk gentleman deserve special recognition for making our stay even better. I'm sharing the positives and the constructive feedback because I think this is a hotel with a lot going for it, and a few small improvements could make the guest experience even better. But even better, we ordered take out food every evening and brought it up to the patio to enjoy al fresco dining and wine. To make sure we had a great dinner, Mary made sure we had cutlery, glasses and condiments to make our dinner even better. We can't recommend this place enough and we will definitely be back!

First said they couldn't give us wine glasses, then found a couple of cheap ones for us. Never a smile. And a bit of frowning. The room is clean and pleasant enough. Location is convenient. Right across the street from the best restaurant in town. The canned music playing incessantly outdoors is headache inducing.

Reservations were made in advanced for a standard room with a king bed. Days before I arrived, the hotel upgraded me to a king suite. Claire checked my wife and I in. We were given a nice room on the second floor. The room was large with lots of seating area and a king bed. The bathroom was nice and had a fancy type of shampoo, conditioner, body wash and body lotion. They have a nice gym with treadmills, ellipticals and dumbbells for you to lift. The gym was clean. An ice machine and water dispenser is located in the gym for the entire hotel. Breakfast is served in the morning at the Hemlock Restaurant and Bar. No free breakfast unless you have Marriott status. The Hemlock Restaurant and Bar is open in the evenings for dinner and drinks from 5PM to 9PM. Both my wife and I had the loco moco for breakfast. We both didn't like it, as we've had better. It would be safer to stick with the American favorites like waffles, French toast or bacon (or sausage) with eggs. The restroom downstairs is a modern one with common handwashing stations and individual coed rooms with toilets. The hotel was woefully short staffed during my stay. Claire who checked us in told me she worked a 12 hour shift as a manager left for better opportunities. The evening front desk clerk also worked a 12 hour shift as I saw him at night and in the morning. When they weren't busy checking people in/out, or handling requests from guests, they worked the restaurant with Cole, who was also working by himself. This was a nice hotel for me. It gave me everything that I needed for a quick stay. Although it didn't affect me too much, a few more employees working here would make things better.
