Where do I begin, I'm the type of person that HATES the dentist and has extreme anxiety about being…read moreat one due to traumatic childhood experiences and I can confidently say this dental office has made me feel 1000% at ease. You can read my review of the other place I went to, to compare my night and day difference of an experience. My experience began when I arrived here for a second opinion from another dentist that I went to the day before that I had a completely awful experience at. I was able to book an appointment, got sent instructions for parking and how to find the office and a nice confirmation. The process was so smooth compared to my last place. I also very much so appreciate the questionnaire they made me take where I could share my dental history and general feelings of the dentist. I think because of this the doctors definitely took note of my anxiety being in the office. Upon arrival I was checked in immediately and before I could even finish signing my papers I was already called into the room. Unheard of. I was here because I woke up to an extremely inflamed face that was causing toothache, nerve pinching, etc and I assumed it was from a tooth abscess (self diagnosed through google lol). Dr. Azy was the one who saw me, she was warm and patient while also acknowledging my concerns. If you looked at my face you could see right away something was wrong with how swollen I was. The dental assistant took my x-rays and then she began my examination immediately after. Unlike the other location I went to, she was very careful about how she probed my face and always checked in to see if I was ok or feeling pressure. She even acknowledged that she didn't want to do too much to cause me more pain and explained what she thought it might be and even explained to me how the medications I got prescribed by the previous doctor would help (I got zero explanations from the other place and was almost taking them blindly) I got sent out with follow up instructions and scheduled another check in visit. Even after my visit Dr. Azy called and texted me personally to check up on me. It was so thoughtful and kind and really made me feel like someone actually cared about what was happening to me. Eventually my swelling went down and things completely healed, I came back for my checkup and was able to schedule additional services with them that I was due for: a cleaning and some cavities. I was told I need a deep clean from the other office and here they told me I didn't, I was also quoted for 2 additional cavities at the other place and had less here. I didn't have dental insurance but learned that they have their own in house dental insurance and I chose to go that route just from the experience I had. To follow up I eventually went to my third appointment and was seen by Dr. Nasiry. I really wanted to be seen by Dr.Azy just bc of the comfort I had with her but Dr.Nasiry and team took amazing care of me. From the welcome, injections, procedure, etc everything was done with such grace and kindness. Halfway through the process she could tell I was getting a bit anxious and she paused to give me a break without me even asking. The dental assistant that assisted was also amazing. He really took the time to make sure I had everything I needed and thoroughly explained everything before which really helped with my anxiety. If you are looking for a dental office that truly cares and feels like a well oiled machine I would highly recommend this clinic. It is absolutely one of the best dental offices I've experienced and that's coming from someone who would avoid a dentist like a black plague if she could. I look forward to my next visits now knowing that I'm going to be taken care of and not dismissed just because of my anxiety. I 10/10 would recommend both Dr. Azy and Dr.Nasiry in a heartbeat!

I used to love Dr. Arezoo Nasiry and her sister Dr. Azy but things have been going rapidly downhill…read morefor the last few years. The first time I went was back in 2012 for a crown. I went in with a Groupon and paid out of pocket and they were very accommodating. For the first few years, they made me feel at ease every visit and I was religiously going in every 6 months for teeth cleaning and check up. When they moved to the Koreatown office is when it started to feel like they were starting to push me to fix numerous things and that number would increase every visit. I eventually never dealt with Dr. Arezoo or Dr. Azy unless it was very brief. Some teeth cleaning were done poorly and some other assistants were not pleasant to deal with. Prices kept increasing bc of Covid and supply issues yet every time I go in the office there are new gadgets. I went in to replace my crown and they took x-rays 4xs bc they wanted to make sure the crown would fit. There was a time when dentists didn't need all these toys and they managed just fine. The kicker was their new financial policy they wanted me to sign. $150-$300 per hour cancellation fee! In the 14 years I have never been late to an appointment and last time I had to cancel that morning bc I woke up with a fever and had to go to urgent care and they tried to charge me $200. They said I should have known I was going to be sick. That is unreasonable and disgusting to charge people that much. I asked what our compensation would be if they had to cancel on patients last minute and they made excuses. I'm so sick of everyone being greedy. I suggest you go elsewhere. I'm done with this place.

I got my teeth fixed by him over a decade ago and when I think about the things he said to me…read moreduring that time, it honestly still pisses me off even after all these years. In the beginning I wanted Invisalign, because I was a college student back then and didn't want to spend my college years having braces on, but Dr. Nam convinced me to first get braces for about 6 months and then switch to Invisalign since the braces would be more effective in the beginning stages. I agreed, and thought 6 months wouldn't be too bad. However when the 6 month mark passed, and I asked him about switching to Invisalign, he said to me in Korean, "why are you so focused on your looks, you should be more focused on your studies..." umm excuse me?!! Long story short, I did not have a backbone back then and didn't want to argue with him (I'm Korean and talking back to someone older than you is extremely taboo), but that statement stuck with me for over a decade and I still can't believe he had the audacity to say that to me. I did not end up getting Invisalign and had braces during a good chunk of my college years because of him. Honestly it's one thing to convince me to get braces all together, and another to bait and switch what you say.. All and all, if you want someone to talk down on you and go back on their word, go to Dr. Nam. He also tried charging me like $700 for a retainer replacement when other dentists have provided them for free or half the price.

I just asked for estimate how much it would cost, to do this thing, and she said "I don't wanna just give you the price over the phone. You just have to come visit, take Xray, check the problem, then give you the price". So I said: - But I don't wanna pay for Xray and just to see the doctor. I already know the problem. "well, if you can't come visit, then go somewhere else" "in Korea, we don't just give the price over the phone, blah blah, blah.." . There were more things going on but I can't write. 3 minutes later, we were about to start fight. Finally, I just gave up and said ok,ok, never mind, just forget, good bye.
