It was hard choosing which ones to go for. I think two tacos are more than enough for one person given the portion sizes, but I got three because I couldn't choose just two! The general Tao chicken taco was my favorite! It was so flavorful and I loved the sweet and sour sauce and the wontons which led to a blast of flavor and crunch with each bite. We visited the Asheville location previously and really liked it, so while we were on a trip to Greenville, we decided to stop at this White Duck Taco Shop location for dinner. It's located in Hampton Station, along with several other cool places including a brewery, a meadery, shops, etc. they have a ton of outdoor tables throughout Hampton Station, which is nice if you have dogs with you. They have a big parking lot, too. I had the crispy chicken taco and the fried green tomato / pimento cheese taco. Both were delicious. My husband had the steak and egg taco and the fish taco. We also ordered cheese dip and the salsa trio for the table. All tasty! I love their chips. We will definitely be back when we are in town. As our order was being taken, I noticed a drink next to the cashier. It was in a short glass with a sugar rim. I asked the employee what the drink was. He said it was one of their margarita mixes, even if it was a virgin drink, which it could have been. Later that night, I saw another employee making himself a drink at the bar on an empty night. It was just my party in the entire restaurant for the majority of our time in the establishment. I didn't see him put any booze in the drink, but I also wasn't staring. It was a quick glance, but long enough that I could clearly see him finishing off the drink with, like, a lemon or something. Yelp had emailed me about this review and said to "Steer clear of exaggeration and embellishment." The General Tso's taco was really tasty. That was my favorite of the three. The Steak & Cheese was good and the Thai was very bland. However the kimchi more than made up for everything else. Anyone whose read any of my reviews knows my father was in Korea and the locals taught him how to make kimchi. This was the best kimchi I've ever had outside the family. White Duck gets crazy busy on Fridays and Saturdays. I've seen the line for the tacos literally wrap around 3/4 if the store. Fortunately if you're just looking for chips and queso, dessert or one of their drinks, there's a separate and usually much shorter line for these. Their tacos are super unique and fusion tacos! They have a bahn mi tofu taco that I'm in love with. There's also general tso as well as chicken tikka masala and bulgogi. There's also the usual steak, buffalo chicken and shrimp tacos. For their drinks, they have a stubborn mule which is bourbon plus ginger beer with spice added. So delicious and they give a good pour of the bourbon. Unique tacos in a laid back restaurant. There are delicious options for everyone. I'm a vegetarian, my fiance likes different meats, we both have so many options to try! They have black bean, jackfruit and tofu for veggie options, plus ***any*** taco on the menu can be substituted with the jackfruit. Most restaurants offer 1 vegetarian option on the whole menu if they have a vegetarian option at all. I have CHOICES at White Duck, and they're all wonderful. We often sit outside with our dogs. Fantastic bangkok shrimp taco! I am sold just because of this item. It was so flavorful, crunchy, tangy, and delicious. They give you two tortillas so when you eat it and the filling falls out onto the second tortilla, you've got another taco! My only complaint is that it wasn't noted as 'fried' shrimp on the menu so my sis had to return it due to wheat intolerance. I also tried the Fried Green Tomato taco and wished for more flavor/sauce, and more actual tomato. My sis ordered the Pork Belly with Pickled Watermelon rind and Steak and Egg taco which both looked incredible. The Bloody Mary bar $8 was cool and delicious, but its difficult to get the mix out of the container when its low, I found myself lifting and tilting the gigantic glass container... awkward. Her margarita was also $8 which was a bit steep for the amount received.
