We've lived in Yelm, Washington for two years now, and we've given this place way more chances than…read moreit deserved. We've been here at least 5-6 times. The very first time, the owner was our server and the service was actually pretty good. The food was mediocre, but we figured we'd come back and give it another shot. Unfortunately, that first experience has been the exception, not the rule. We are huge wing fans and so naturally we ordered the wings. They were freezer burnt and they were the full wing the flat and the drum hooked together. We were not a fan of them. We've stopped in just for a couple of beers while waiting for our dog to get groomed next door, and even those visits have been uncomfortable. We've dealt with bartenders who were rude and completely unfriendly, and servers who seem to forget you're even there. We came here for Valentine's Day two years ago with a reservation, expecting a nice, romantic dinner. Instead, it was an absolute disaster. The staff looked completely overwhelmed, nobody seemed to know what was going on, our expense steaks were over cooked badly, we were ignored for long stretches, never offered refills, and the entire dinner was a huge disappointment. But we kept trying. Most recently, we brought two friends here because we really wanted to give it one more chance. We actually warned them not to have high expectations. Unfortunately, the service was just as bad. We were ignored, never got beer refills, and the food was terrible. Our friends left saying they never wanted to come back. Today, while waiting for our dog to be groomed, we stopped in for a couple of beers and ordered the JoJos from the happy hour menu. Six or so potato wedges that were overcooked and just not very good, with mediocre barbecue sauce and ranch. There is a new server here whom we've never had before, and honestly, she's been better than anyone we've dealt with here in the past. She's still pretty slow, but she is easily the best service we've had since that very first visit when the owner served us. And ironically, that same owner has completely ignored us every time we've been back and hasn't said a word to us since our first visit. At this point, we've tried enough times to know this isn't a one-off bad night. The service is consistently awful, the food is mediocre at best, and the prices don't match what you're getting. We genuinely try to support local businesses, which is why we kept coming back and giving this place another chance. But after six or so visits and multiple disappointing experiences, we're done. I absolutely cannot recommend this place. If you're looking for overpriced, mediocre food and consistently terrible service, this is your place! Otherwise, there are plenty of other local places that deserve your money.

It's such a fun, upbeat atmosphere, and the employees are always great to us. They recognize us when we come in, remember us, and always make us feel welcome. We are big pizza, beer, and wings people. Years ago, we actually owned our own pizza, beer, and wing restaurant, so when we moved to Yelm, finding a place where we could get that kind of food and atmosphere was important to us. Farrelli's has definitely become one of our go-to spots. The pizza is good, they have plenty of options if you're not in the mood for pizza, and we especially love the Korean wings. They also have a really good selection of beer, and it's always cold and good. The only thing I'm not a huge fan of is the trivia team rule. If you have more than six people on a team, you either lose points or have to split your team. We had been trying to get a big group of friends together to go and have a fun night, but it became such a hassle that we eventually stopped inviting people and just started going with a couple of people so we didn't have to lose points or split up. I completely understand having rules around team sizes, but it would be nice if there were a way to make it easier for larger groups to participate together. That said, we really enjoy Farrelli's and continue to go regularly. We've only gone a couple of times just for dinner, but we've been to trivia night many times. They also do all kinds of other events and activities, which makes it a really fun place to have in Yelm. Definitely recommend Farrelli's if you're looking for good pizza, wings, cold beer, and a fun atmosphere!

Discover is an accepted form of payment. Charlie's is the only bar in Montesano. The building is old so it was chilly inside during our visit. If you are somebody who chills easily, bring a sweatshirt or light jacket inside with you. Happy Hour is offered Monday-Friday from 4pm-6pm. Well drink specials are offered Sunday-Thursday from 6pm-close. Charlie's offers a full bar and draft beers. Free Wi-Fi is available. Charlie's does not have a kitchen. Food items are microwaved. Remember, this is a dive bar. We all use microwaves at home from time-to-time. I'm good with microwaved food and an ice-cold beer. Charlie's offers many different forms of entertainment during ones visit. Pull tabs, darts, digital jukebox, beer pong, shuffleboard and a couple pool tables. During our visit, my wife and I played a few rounds of darts 501. If I recall correctly, each game was $0.75 (wife paid). While playing darts we slurped on a couple ice-cold Manny's for $5 each. We each took turns ($10 worth) choosing the next song to blast from the jukebox. We had an absolute blast. Our server was downright cool. She was friendly, laid-back, helpful and willing to share her knowledge of the surrounding area and Long Beach area with us. Thank you Charlie's for being one of our highlights during our road-trip. I placed my order over the phone and it was packaged to go within the hour (many thanks to the manager for assisting.) The restaurant is large and allows seating for a variety of party sizes. My customers were dancing as they ate, there was a brownie in the order that was the highlight as the team shared it, and I really enjoyed my salad. I will definitely return and highly recommend!
