Failed to get the stain out of both pieces AnD my designer shorts came back with huge safety pin holes in them. What would possess someone to use huge safety pins to secure shorts to a hanger? These guys are awesome. I brought in my suit and a dress shirt which had stains on it. Normally I wash and press my shirts myself to save money, but since this was my favorite shirt and I couldn't get off the stains after multiple washes, I had to let the professionals handle it. I showed the stains to them, they marked it on the shirt, and told me they would have it back in three business days, which I guess is reasonable to allow them time to do their best. It came back with no visible stains. My suit was probably easier and they did a good job with that too. 85/100 read more

I started going to this dry cleaner as I was disappointed with my last one. They are great and very careful with our clothes. My wife tends to purchase very nice and very delicate materials and so a dry cleaner that looks at and categorizes each item on the receipt (by designer as well!) is something that puts my mind at ease. I am a little obsessed with the cute little Chinese couple that owns this place. They're incredibly friendly and helpful - not to mention their prices are pretty reasonable for the quality of service they provide. They recently brought my favorite Cynthia Vincent dress back to life after a rough night out in the city, so I am a huge fan! My clothes always come back nicely pressed and neatly packaged. No weird chemical smells either! I've never had an issue of them losing track of my clothing. And the most important thing? Your clothes are always ready for pick up the day/time they say it is. One night, my roommate came home terribly upset. Her brand new white coat had a wide, mustard yellow skunk-style stripe down its back, a result of her leaning against a subway column with wet paint. She asked what I thought would be the best method for getting rid of the stain. Truth be told, it was a nightmare and I did not think she would actually be able to get it out, no matter what she did. Biting my lip, I strongly recommended she take it straight to a dry cleaner. Some days later, after I had forgotten about the incident, she came home with that same coat... but its disastrous skunky stripe was completely gone! It looked just as it did before. She could have told me she traveled back in time and avoided the column (therefore saving her coat) and I would have believed her, it was just that good. The dry cleaners responsible for this miracle were White on White. I promptly took my own laundry there and they did an excellent job on my things as well. I love that they use non-toxic cleaning agents: my pieces come out odorless, it's safe for the environment AND it's safe for me because they don't use cancer-causing chemicals. White on White, or WOW, as I like to call 'em hehe, has a quick turnaround, surprisingly reasonable prices and a client list that includes Nobu and Louis Vuitton. Based on great Yelp reviews I walked out of my way to drop off my husbands work shirts to be washed and pressed at White on White. He handed one of them back to me stating it was "dry clean only" and he wouldn't wash it, what?! the sign on the door says "DRY CLEANING"! He handed me my ticket for the other shirts and said they would be ready on Friday. Specifically the ticket said Friday after 6pm, so I showed up Friday right at 6pm... the shirts aren't ready come back later, since they close in an hour I let him know I will just come in the morning. When I arrive to pick them up (for the second time) I hand him my credit card he lets me know they have a $15 credit card minimum. I come back 10 minutes later with cash, pay for my shirts and leave. Pretty annoyed but I still saved time and money not washing and pressing them myself, right? Wrong! When I arrive home the shirts don't smell clean at all, one still has a food stain and the shirt stays they used to bind all of the sleeves together have pinched the fabric creating deep wrinkles that I will be pressing out myself. So $10.50 and 2 hours of walk and wait time later I am back where I started, with dirty shirts that need pressed. Boo! read more

Great dry cleaner and laundry spot. They are fast, highly reliable, offer free delivery and pick-up, and can clean anything that you can think of to bring in. Their prices are a bit above average, but their service and cleaning are above average as well. For that elusive 5th star, I wish there was some form of volume discount for repeat customers or some sort of cheaper cleaning options for basic clothes (e.g. work shirts / slacks). They claim "organic" cleaning, but I've never met anyone that knows what that means. Friendly, honest and reasonably-priced (except for leather, but then leather is always stupidly expensive to clean), with organic cleaning methods to boot! White on White mark stains with tape so they make sure they address them, and they fixed the bad results on delicate silk I had from an inferior drycleaner (it looked....suspicious to say the least. Not quite Patrick-Bateman-suspicious but pretty bad. White on White fixed it with no fuss and no embarrassment!) I am surprised at some bad reviews on here because I've been pretty impressed with White on White after bad experiences at other dry cleaners in Tribeca and Brooklyn. read more

The worst thing was they tailored a pair of pants for me and did a poor job. They took in the seat of the pants which needed it, but also took in the legs, which did not. Don't trust them. I gave them my shirt biz for 3 years. They did a reasonable job. UNTIL, they lost 8 of my shirts, value $480. After 6 weeks of waiting, they offered me $100 in compensation. I told them to make it $300 in store credit so they could work it off. No deal. I now must take them to court for satisfaction. I always get my dry cleaning and clothes laundered here. They do a great job, and it is always ready when they promise it to be. Clothes come back neatly pressed, clean and fresh. And since they use organic cleansers, your clothes do not come back smelling like chemicals. Prices are the best around. Highly recommend them. read more

And one day they burned all my CK underwear and they told me they could only refund 2o % of the already very low price I had given them - because it said so with small letters on the backside of my check. I've been using White on White Cleaners for the last 5 month since I moved to the neighborhood. Normally I would either drop off my things or have my doorman arrange for pick up since the building uses their services to clean our staff uniform. I never asked for a receipt because I never had any problems...until they lost my dress ($500) and a blazer ($600). Both items were picked up never to be seen again. The staff and the owner denies that they picked it up and been ignoring my requests to resolve the issue. I don't have a receipt and have no course of action against them. I am deeply disappointed with the whole ordeal...and I am out $1100 worth of clothing. I will never use them again. read more

Perfect, efficient service for coming on 3 years. Would've already given them a 5. Then this, which just happened: mistakenly forgetting they closed at 7pm, I called a few minutes after 7 and asked them to deliver my dry cleaning. I was leaving on a trip the next morning at the crack of dawn and had zero clean clothes left (all of them at White on White). The owner said they were closed and that the delivery guy had left but I explained the situation and asked if I could pick up. Not only did he wait 20 minutes by himself after closing for me to get there, but since there was so much, he insisted on walking back with me 5 blocks to my apartment and carrying most of it, despite my protest. He didn't think twice or look annoyed afterward; just beamed and told me to have a great trip. read more

For about twelve months, I had no problem with this cleaner, but earlier in the summer they ruined a brand new $800 dress I was going to wear for my birthday dinner (they literally dry cleaned the print off the dress), and the way they followed up has been absolutely appalling. The manager, who is not present on site, never called me to discuss the issue, and the clerks could not give me her phone number. I can't even get her last name! I emailed a receipt for the dress to prove how much it cost and how recently I had purchased it, and I also emailed a photo of the dress prior to their service. I came in and called about a dozen times to find out what the manager was going to do to compensate me, but now, nearly three months later, the manager still has not called me (even to say she is sorry!), and there has been no offer of compensation to me. I dropped off some sweaters and said please wash these and flat dry them, just as the labels say. They said they'd be ready in 1 day, but I didn't go back for 7 days to pick them up. When I went back the clothes were hanging wet in a plastic bag, all stretched out because they didn't flat dry them, and they REEKED. Who would ever put wet clothes in a plastic bag and leave them for 6 days!?!?!? AND there were clothes in the wet stinky bag that weren't even mine! I also had a shirt I requested that the seam be mended up and they didn't even try to do that. It still had the hole in it. And then they weren't even apologetic! They stall, pretend they will do something and then refuse to give your clothing back after they "inspect it". I suspect they have a policy of how to avoid damages for clothing they ruin. When I went to pick up my dry-cleaning, I waited a good 15 while the customer ahead of me commanded the entire staff with her ridiculous instructions. She finally left, at which point I waited another 5 minutes before anyone even acknowledged me. Salty as ever, I paid for my clothes and left... only to discover that some stains I had previously pointed out had not been removed and my white blouse had a few inexplicable pen marks on it.
