There are a lot of terrible reviews for this restaurant, but I don't think the one and two star ratings are warranted. Service is a little lackluster (it took us almost 10 minutes to get seated on a slow Tuesday afternoon). Food is fine but not gourmet (our buckhorn sandwich was under salted and a tad bland, though improved with mustard). And the setting is not as "waterside" as I expected (technically you can see the water from a couple of tables on the patio, but the water is pretty far away and mostly obscured by trees in the summer). All that being said, once our waitress noticed us, the service was quick, and the food was inoffensive, which is three stars in my book (and for the record I consider myself a pretty tough critic). They also have a nice area where you can play Cornhole and rings while you wait, and dogs are allowed on the patio.

Great service - staff were attentive and our food was bought to the table quick. We ordered fried calamari appetizer, Wally sliders, fish & chips, and two beers. Calamari was amazingly delicious with the pickled peppers. The Wally sliders and fish & chips were good and portions were just right. Best of all, The Boathouse Restaurant is dog friendly!

My husband and I stopped at The Boat House, Hawley PA, for a late lunch today. This is one of our favorite venues in the area since it consistently offers great food and service. Julie was our server today who was very efficient and always with a smile. We both ordered the Buckhorn sandwich (with coleslaw sides) which as always was absolutely delicious. This restaurant is just a lovely venue, inside and out. The outdoor covered porch has ceiling fans to keep you cool and help keep the bugs away. You won't be disappointed stopping at the Boat House for lunch or dinner!

Had a great time. Great food, drinks, and service. We had no problem docking at the dock n dine. Will come back again soon.

Waiters were nice but rest of staff is rude. Food is marginal diner food which they overcharge for. You can do better for same food

Great location, friendly staff. Bar area table area is comfortable and relaxed with a view of the lake. Good food & menu selection.

Ask the Community - The Boathouse

Is there Boat parking/docking for lunch?

Yes, but only a couple available for boathouse customers.

Quality of food and service?

Service is good, food is inconsistent, one time I went there and loved it and the second time I wanted to puke.

A small, unique restaurant in the small town of Hawley. Great vibe. Wait staff was excellent…read more Cheerful, helpful with our questions & service was quick. Drinks were cold & well made. Food was outstanding & arrived very quickly. Eggplant parm was recommended by our server & was accompanied by excellent side of homemade pasta. The chicken Milanese was done to perfection. We saved some room for dessert. We enjoyed the crème brûlée which was creamy with a crisp caramelized topping. The panna cotta with a fruit coulis topping was a terrific recommendation by our server. We will definitely return & recommended to friends who want a special evening experience in NE PA.

So, on a Monday night, my…read morehusband, our kids, and I made the hour-and-a-half trek to Ravyn & Robyn... and WOW -- it was more than worth it. There's no official kids' menu, but that didn't matter one bit. The owner himself came over to chat with our kids, and without hesitation, offered to make a personal pizza for our daughter. She devoured the entire pie. My son similarly polished off a plate of chicken on a bed of spinach in record time. We shared a round of calamari and the most beautifully balanced cheese board; paired with local honey, olives, and a perfectly chosen wine. The Cacio e Pepe? Hand-made that day, cooked to the most perfect al dente, and so delicious that my daughter declared, "It tastes like fancy mac and cheese." (High praise from a discerning 5-year-old.) It would be amiss if I didn't give a shoutout to Christian, the bartender, who felt more like a magician. I asked why my gin cocktail tasted so uniquely good, and he casually mentioned he had prepped it with cucumbers for six days. SIX. DAYS. Just when we thought we couldn't eat another bite, we shared a crème brûlée--and it was the best kind of night-cap. Creamy, crackly perfection. Cozy, elevated, warm, and full of heart--Ravyn & Robyn is a gem I can't wait to visit again.

Stopped in for the restaurant. Brunch sounded really good…read more Not busy at all this Sunday morning. Got a really nice table by the front windows. Grabbed the mushrooms and polenta to start. Lightly breaded and fried. Yummy. Did need salt but otherwise well made. Main was their burger. So good! Juicy and flavorful. The onion jam was delicious. Their wine selection is very good. Get the flight. It's a really good deal and you can try 3 different wines. Service was quick and food came out fast and hot. Others noted the prices a a little high but the food was really good.

The Settlers Inn is a historic Arts & Craft Lodge that was built in Hawley, Pennsylvania in 1927…read more It was founded by local citizens in Hawley. Shortly after the completion of Lake Wallenpaupack (a man-made lake), local businessmen believed that tourists would come to see it and they raised funds to build a grand hotel known as the 'Hawley Community Hotel'. When the building was nearly finished, the stock market crashed and it sat empty for 20 years. It officially opened to the public in 1947 and went through several owners. It served as a nursing home, an inn, and even a private school. Since 1980, the inn has been owned and operated by hospitality experts Jeanne and Grant Genzlinger who dubbed it 'The Settlers Inn'. The on-site restaurant and Chestnut Tavern offer farm-to-table menus highlighting quality products of local farms and purveyors. Kate Woehrle is the current executive chef. The inn has been a member of Historic Hotels of America since 2010. My family and I recently visited The Settlers Inn while we were spending Memorial Day weekend in the Poconos. The timing of our visit coincided with their Memorial Day Brunch. The beautiful hotel had a spacious dining room that even featured live music from a piano player. To drink, I ordered the "Settlers Inn Bloody Mary" (blue cheese olives, alpine beef stick, aged cheddar, dilly beans, pepperoncini, celery). This was a great brunch cocktail! Our server brought us some delicious complimentary Brewer's Bread for the table. For the appetizer course, I had the "Smoked Trout Dip" and my wife had the "Black Pepper Ricotta Toast" (asparagus, cured egg yolk). We were both happy with our choices. For the entree course, I had the "Smoked Salmon Eggs Benedict" (potato pancakes), my wife had the "Crispy Chicken Sammy" (coleslaw, brioche, roasted jalapeño aioli), and our son had the "Birthday Cake French Toast". Everything was excellent and tasted so fresh! For dessert, our server told us to help ourselves to the dessert table which featured fresh baked goods like cookies and cannoli. We had a fantastic brunch at the Settlers Inn and would definitely return on a future visit to the Poconos!
