    Cabins right on the water
    Deborah S.

Positives: The location is gorgeous!!!!! I mean breathtaking. Our cabin was right by the stairs and it had quick and easy beach access. The hot tub and view was so fabulous. Not as fabulous: When I called to ask about the cancelation policy (just in case of COVID) I heard a lot about personal political beliefs that didn't feel professional. The cabin windows/patio door didn't have screens so it was difficult to have air coming through without tons of flies The cabin seemed a bit dated, mattress uncomfortable, and could use a little bit of deep cleaning. We couldn't hear the water from the bedroom. You could hear the road noise instead. It wasn't really bad but not the ocean.

Sitting on the deck of cabin 20 at sunset.

What a spectacular place on the coast! We were concerned about accommodations that during COVID and came across this place which had individual cabins that were fully furnished and stocked so we could prepare meals etc. without having to worry about restaurants being open. Each cabin is individually owners by private owners and the resort rents out the units. The cabin was super clean and perfect for our 1st anniversary getaway. I have to say that Sherry, the woman who handle payment and arrangements, was a super nice person. We actually had a really nice conversation on the phone as we were settling final payment be on the deposit and all in all the experience was really, really positive. Definitely hit this place up if you're looking for a place to vacation that is private, well run and maintained, and has so much more to offer than your average hotel room. I'd also really recommend this place for families and groups of friends who want to share costs. Once again I'd like to give a shout out to you Sherry you're freaking awesome! Oh and it's close to all really cool beach attractions and redwood actions and Brookings Oregon and all kinds of other really great stuff! We will definitely be back.

    View from our deck.

We were looking for a cabin at the beach and out of the smoke in the late summer of 2020. White Rock was what just what we wanted. Great communication with Sherry in the office. Private deck with hot tub included ocean views. Hotel-like amenities (soap, shampoo, hair dryer, coffee maker & coffee) and complete kitchenette made White Rock a good choice for kicking back. Close enough to Brookings for food runs. A great taqueria (Lolita's) a few miles south too. Thank you!

We booked cabin 1 because it was pet friendly and the only one available. It's $50 less per night because it's not "ocean facing", although you can see the ocean from the living room. We arrived at 245, with a check in time of 4. They said over and over how they had 8 people leave and check in so they were behind. They said they'd text us and it wouldn't be later than 4. We finally got checked in about 440. The hot tub was still filling up And not cleaned,it was ready 530. So not the best start. The cabin was just fine. A wine theme. It needs updating and refreshing definitely but functional. The hot tub is in a Private room outside And is a 4 person Round model. You can't see the ocean from the hot tub there's a wall and a door. Good for privacy though. The back patio opens to a grass area next to a dilapidated closed down restaurant, which was great for our dog. A small fence would have been great, this is a pet friendly unit. The path to the beach is between cabin 3 and 4 so it was a quick walk there! The cabin has everything you could need. Blender hand mixer cooking oil coffee sugar ect... The hot tub was small and didn't stay hot. We still had a good time.

We had a fantastic time at White Rock Resort. This will be my go to place in Brookings from now on! We stayed in cabin #9 which is right on the ocean. You can not beat watching the sunset over the ocean from your private hot tub! Everything we needed was provided and the check in check out process was very easy. I highly recommend!

The front desk staff were welcoming and helpful, setting the tone for a wonderful experience. At dinner, my server went above and beyond. Not only was the service excellent, but she took the time to share stories about her motorcycle adventures and her Bronco trips along the beautiful California and Oregon coast. Talking about Highway 101, the ocean views, and the places she had explored made the meal feel personal and memorable. It felt less like a customer interaction and more like a conversation with a friend. The breakfast staff were equally friendly and attentive, making the start of the day enjoyable and relaxing. The team in the sports bar was outstanding as well--engaging, professional, and always ready with a smile. Many places offer food, lodging, and entertainment, but it's the people who create lasting memories. Every employee I encountered at Lucky 7 made me feel welcome and appreciated. Their kindness, genuine interest in their guests, and exceptional customer service are what make Lucky 7 such a special place. I highly recommend Lucky 7 Casino & Hotel and look forward to my next visit.

I'm a foodie so when I go somewhere to eat it better be something I can't easily replicate at home. Ana really out does herself with a multiple course breakfast. Very filling, clean eating, freaking DELICIOUS! Everything from the delicate slightly-sweet breads to the hearty main course which always includes eggs in some form, to the fresh fruit to the handmade desserts accompanying every breakfast. The coffee is safe (not too strong, not too weak, not at all bitter). They also offer loose leaf tea if coffee is not your thing. VERY HAPPY with Breakfast prepared by Ana. Breakfast is worth the trip all by itself *YUM* Their attention to detail is exhausting. There are too many amenities to list and even little snacks on tables though out the house. We had access to a full sized fridge/freezer downstairs as well as use of a microwave and toaster oven if we needed it. I can't think of a single thing that we needed; Richard and Ana have thought of everything that you might need during your stay. Arky's uses Hotel quality sheets and towels (all 100% cotton). The bed in the garden view room was incredibly comfortable (king: bamboo pillowtop mattress) with an additional bamboo mattress topper. Plenty of pillow of various soft/firmness. I wouldn't change a thing. I slept like a rock. I'm not sure how many rooms they rent out each night, but there seemed to be different couples and even an entire family staying during our time there. Never once did we hear anyone else in the house unless we left our room. I would DEFINITELY RECOMMEND this place over staying at a local hotel; they are priced about the same.

Each day while we were away the room was freshened up. Coffee, instant ceral were provided in the room as well as cream for the coffee. Dishes and glassware were available to use. The room was well supplied with the things we needed. The steps and railings could use a bit of updating for safety and the stairs leading towards the beach area were in much need of repair, to the point that it was not a good idea to venture too far down that path as the lower steps dropped down further than the rest. The handrail at the very bottom was frail and really should not be allowed public access without being made much sturdier. When parking, it required you to back all the way out to the roadway. No viable place to turn around once you drove all the way in. Would we stay here again? Yes we would. I felt it was a good value for the price paid. You could literally hear and see the ocean right from the front room. It is a place that provides a lot of peace and quiet. Probably not the best for a young and noisy partying crowd. This room also had a VERY big nice TV - much larger TV than in the other rooms! This was our first time to Crescent City and of course we wondered if the fog horn would be a problem (especially given the "warning" on the hotel website). It wasn't an issue for us - but we didn't sleep with the door to the balcony open or anything. You can definitely hear it... but it's not super loud and/or overbearing... when I think "foghorn" I usually think about the super loud blaster that they use at 49er games or something, but this wasn't that at all - not even close! The TV was a little bit of a challenge to figure out, but we figured it out eventually. I can't say that I was crazy about the bathroom layout... with the sink part being in the main room, but the upside to that is there was a LOT of counter space, much more than would have been available otherwise. After a little reflection, I realized there really wasn't a better way to lay things out. I just had to get used to it... and now, I wouldn't hesitate to get the same room again.

The staff here are unwilling to help their guests or make even minor modifications to reservations, even for services that have not and will not be rendered. Location: Convenient location close to the beach, highway, and Redwood National Park. Other than the national park there is very little to do in Crescent City. Not many good restaurant options. Room: Antiquated. Hasn't been updated in 25 years, uncomfortable bed. The upgraded room we reserved was quite large, however, the walls are thin and we could hear our neighbors all night. Also, the fog horn blows every 8 seconds. Walking to & from the room we noticed the hallways smell like strongly of urine.
