I choose the Scottish salmon and oh boy! it did not disappoint! Salmon was super fresh tasting, August put it on ice for the ride home! Despite being a combo, it did Not come with a drink like the other combos! It did come with good fries. We paid an extra $2.99 for the drink. The fried Haddock Combo came with fries and a drink but no tartar sauce ($1 extra). The fish was a good size with no fishy taste. Otherwise ,the place discourages eat-ins. The seating area was FREEZING cold; I needed to wear my hood and gloves. The bathrooms were BOTH blocked with a ladder and a sign saying "closed sorry ," so we couldn't wash our hands. Thankfully the lady at the counter let us use her hand sanitizer. The garbage can was full when we went to throw out the packaging. All-in-all, the ordering and eating experiences were unpleasant for a cost of $54.

Our experience was beyond excellent. One of the women who spoke the most English took excellent care of me through all of my questions and helped with recommendations. She also introduced us to other excellent choices. When I went back in to buy additional desserts, she sent me out with the most wonderful hot pastry to share with my husband, at no cost. The store itself has many types of foods you cannot find any place else including pork tongue. The ladies were wonderful, the selections were fabulous and the experience, well the experience was amazing! We will definitely stop in the shop anytime that we are in the Utica area. I haven't found the quality to particularly be that amazing here, but when I need an item that isn't likely to be found at the Hannaford I will go here. Also the doughnuts they have at their bakery are huge but not amazing. Kind of dry. I think I'd be more thrilled if I could get a coffee for here, but I would probably complain about the price of that too.
