Despite having medical clearance from my OB/GYN, confirming that it is safe for me to undergo routine dental care during pregnancy, the office refused to see me solely because I am pregnant. Additionally, when I requested a copy of my X-ray so I could seek treatment from another dentist, the office stated it would take a few days because they "have stuff to do", delaying my ability to receive timely care. The front office personnel said her name was Kelly although I'm not sure if she gave her real name. I still haven't received a copy of my X-ray to take to another dentist who was willing to see me. We were trying to minimize another X-ray since I just took one but the office is uncooperative. The front office staff were extremely unprofessional and rude during my interactions. They repeatedly hung up the phone on me and refused to provide a clear explanation for the refusal. I had to use another phone number for them to pick up my phone. I believe this behavior was unjustified, discriminatory, and unprofessional, and does not meet the standards expected of licensed dental professionals

I get paranoid finding a new dentist because of my previous encounter with a dentist back home. So, I was doing my research and found this place on Yelp. I read a couple reviews and of course people have their pros and cons with their own experience with a dentist, so I decided to check it out myself. Called to schedule an appointment and spoke with Megan. She was great! She said that they're booked for the rest of the year, but there is ONE opening the next day. Took it! When I got there, the waiting room was neat and clean. Their Christmas tree was up already which shows that their office was very festive and into the holiday spirit. I had to fill out a form (highly recommend you printing it out and filling it before your appointment - saves you time). I got called in a couple minutes after I filled out the form. They took photos of my teeth and did my cleaning. I was in and out within an hour. I was seen by Dr. Zamora Rojas) and she was very gentle on my teeth and told me that I would just need to continue brushing and flossing and possibly get a mouth guard. I asked if i can have an estimate and she said that Megan can print one out for me. Overall, would I recommend this place to others, yes. I had nothing bad to say about them. Received gingival therapy from Theresa, she worked quickly and sensitively. Even received advice on the best brushes and toothpaste to use for gum health. Very impressive first appointment with Dr. Uthman. He has a really warm bedside manner and explains things in a clear and comprehensive manner. Hygienist was also great. No need to fear if you haven't been to a dentist in a while. They are very kind, understanding, and nonjudgmental. Scheduling is kind of weird since the listed business hours aren't fixed. They are open Monday to Saturday, but it seems like Monday and Wednesday are their firm open hours while they may close the office on Tuesdays and Thursdays if there are no appointments. That means there is no one manning the front desk on the days the office is closed (can't make or cancel appointments, no one to answer questions by phone or email). They are open bimonthly on Saturdays (two Saturdays a month), but not every Saturday. They have an online contact form for appointments, but no actual online appointment scheduling such as ZocDoc. That's my main wishlist item for this dental provider. Other wishlist items: make new patient paperwork available on the website to speed up checking in and to get a printout summary of the visit of procedures done at checkout.

I was then transferred to someone named Cindy, only to find out that she was not the manager. At that point, I felt as though my concerns were not being taken seriously and that I was being passed around rather than helped. What is especially concerning is that several of my family members and friends are also patients at this office and have experienced similar issues with reaching the office, customer service, and appointment scheduling. This makes it seem as though these are not isolated incidents but rather ongoing problems that need to be addressed. I am sharing this because I genuinely value Dr. Uthman and the care he provides, and I would want him to be aware of what patients are experiencing when trying to contact the office and schedule appointments. The quality of care may be excellent, but the customer service and communication from the office need significant improvement. Patients should not have to wait on hold for 30 minutes to over an hour--or have to walk into the office--just to schedule an appointment. My experience here has been an absolute physical and financial nightmare. Critical Issues Faced:Severe Pain Management Neglect: During a single session, they extracted all of my teeth and placed four titanium posts in both my upper and lower jaws. They refused to prescribe any pain medication, instructing me to use only Tylenol and Ibuprofen. Because of my history with decaying teeth, I have a high tolerance to over-the-counter pain relievers. Even my primary care physician was shocked by their refusal to manage post-surgery pain and stepped in to help.Unprofessional Staff: One of the staff members was repeatedly dismissive and exhibited a highly snippy attitude when I raised concerns.Failed Restoration & Poor Bite Alignment: I specifically asked them to fix my bite before leaving.
