We have been going to Whitney Oaks Dental for about three years now. This review is long past due, but this is the best dentist hands-down we have ever been to. Their office is quiet and clean, all of the hygienists are incredibly gentle and nice, and Dr. Arya is amazing. He is always so kind and explains everything. He takes time to listen to your concerns and he is always wonderful with my two young children. They do not have fear of the dentist at all, and I owe it to their experiences here. I started going to Whitney Oaks Dental years ago when I used to work 5 minutes away. I selected the place because of the beautiful and serene setting and the closeness it was to my work; I also loved the fact that the building was new. Our first visit was incredible. Dr. Arya is such a nice person. He is sensitive to each patient's comforts and needs. I feel like with each visit I am treated with respect and am with a doctor who truly cares about each person individually and uses top of the line equipment and services. He has great recommendations for cosmetic as well as preventative dental procedures. It has been over 6 years since we started seeing Dr. Arya, we have since moved and it is more than a 20 mile drive to make it to his location, but he has built a solid trust with our family and we believe we deserve the best dentist and we know that we are getting that with having him as our Dentist. Best dentists office ever! I make it a point to go to the dentist once a decade whether I need it or not. I'm no fool I knew there would be work to be done. Showed up bright and early and was greeted by the cheery reception staff, and was in a chair in less than ten minutes. Casey was in my mouth for hours toiling away at my neglected grill like a soldier. We watched a couple episodes of a house flipping show. We laughed we cried and she slaved away. There wasn't an uncomfortable moment the whole time. Had a couple of soft spots filled then they kicked me out the door. We had a blast! Dr. Arya is very approachable and the staff makes you feel like family. I accidentally bit down on a layer of shell that was still embedded in a walnut seed and he was flexible enough to see me in an emergency during his time off. Truly, a diamond in the rough. read more

I do NOT like going to the dentist. But, Dr. Ashish makes the best of it: -He uses the most modern state of the art technology, tools, and machines. -Me makes you as comfortable as possible with tv to watch and a comfortable atmosphere. -He explains your options with instant viewing of x-rays and offers several options for you to choose from. -His staff is very helpful and accomodating. -He has seen me on a weekend when I had a tooth issue that needed immediate attention, how often does your dentist offer that? -He is always able to get me in to his office quickly. -He calls me personally when I have a question. I just went here for the first time. Really had a great time and was really impressed that the dentist did a lot of the work for my teeth in conjunction with the hygienist. Normally my old dentist would walk in, look at my teeth, and charge $75 for looking for 30 seconds. The salt water fish tank and the lobby at this place are great. It would be a great place to take my kids when I need to because the place is very chill. read more

Who really likes going to the dentist? Actually, when it comes to Whitney Oaks and their staff, I really don't mind at all! Just recently had some recommended service done that I've put off (for what else? Finances!)...and found the experience as good as could be expected and more. Dr Ashish is cool...and very skilled with his numbing techniques. Hardly felt anything getting "numbed up" and the effects didn't last all day when I was done either. Believe me, it has NOT been that way in past visits at other dentists. Lena is amazing and very skilled as well. She handled a partial crown with molds and temporary...then sealed the deal about 10 days later with the permanent. Fit beautifully and works just like it should. My mouth and my eyes thank you! Like most people I don't really like going to the dentist. Don't get me wrong, I don't usually have any problems it is the unknown or the experience that bugs me. How much is this going to cost (I don't have insurance)? Who is going to clean my teeth? Is the dentist going to tell me that my teeth are all terrible and that I should really do something about it for the rest of the world's sake. Well, at Dr. Ashish's office all the anxiety goes away. His friendly staff treats you like family. They show you around the very nice and comfortable office. You share with them your concerns and then Dr. Ashish comes in and does the exam and the cleaning himself. There is never a negative word just options. Perfect for someone like me who likes to evaluate everything before rushing in. No scare tactics, just up front valid recommendations. read more

I have not been able to find a dentist that I trust since I was a young boy. Well it took about twenty years, but I found one. Not only the dentist but the entire staff. From the moment that the appointment is made until you walk out, you feel like a friend of the staffs. Even during the off hours, you are able to get in touch with Dr Arya in case of an emergency. I have been going to Dr. Arya for a little over 10 years. I started as a kid when he moved his practice to Whitney oaks and continued to see him as I went away to college and moved to Sacramento. I think that says it all right there! I am more than willing to travel to see an outstanding professional. I really enjoy visiting with Dr. Arya and his staff. I have been one of those dental-neurotic patients for years. I have never had such great care and attention as I have at Whitney Oaks. Dr. Arya was patient and has the most wonderful sense of humor, which is invaluable! I trust him completely, knowing he will NOT do ANY unnecessary treatment. The dentist I had gone to before had recommended several crown replacements and root canals. I got a second opinion from Dr. Arya. All those recommended treatments had been unnecessary. That was several years ago and I have never questioned any treatment he has recommended. He is conservative and only recommends what is absolutely necessary. I am a certified dentist-phobic, but Dr. Arya is the one dentist I return to. The office waiting is gorgeous (no dental smell or sounds). My appointments have always been on time with no stressful waiting. The best part is Dr. Arya's sense of humor and sensitivity to dental neurotics like me.
