Great experience at Black Horizon Brewing Company. Stopped by for the Streetz Art Alliance event. It was easy to find just off route 83 & 55. Smaller brewery but more than enough room for everyone and the vendors. Beers were good. They offered a couple tastings to help me find something I'd enjoy. Prices in line with other breweries. They are card only. Staff helpful. Parking lot is smaller but there is overflow parking in back. Bathrooms are gender neutral and clean. The vendor shopping was great as was the Pot Pots Poutine truck. Can't hardly wait until they do this again.

Microbrewery, nice selection of tasty beers. Clean, staff was attentive. I sampled their lager, very light, refreshing, and not overly filling. Food was provided by a poutine truck, pretty darn good, with very pleasant people efficiently preparing traditional and innovative food, like the Reuben poutine. Easily accessible from I 55 and Route 83.

My favorite beer by Alex, Flagship MFF.

I frequented over 67 breweries in Illinois and there is a man named Alex who is the head brewer and has amazing creativity there and has a big heart. I initially met Tony who is a Metalhead, kind, educated and a has strong beer recommendations to give all day. Amazing dude, he is the sales manager who doesn't make you feel anything but like you belong. I met who I thought was just a bartender named Derek, this man helped solidify this brewery for me as a top 3. He educated me in beer ingredients, processes and I found out he is one of the other brewers highly knowledgeable and kind. When I visited I met Kevin who greets you kindly and is a guy you must meet. Stephanie a kind woman who is great with people and what she lacks in height she makes up for with a big heart. I'm turning 40 this year and am excited to always meet new faces at this place. Charles is another owner who has his own form of kindness, but all together I love this place. They don't have a kitchen which I love but recently added pizzas which are a decent addition to have with beer. This brewery is such a warm place to stop and visit, their flagship is Midnight Fist Fight which is amazing. There is a great variety of beers. I got to meet the locals and connected with the BHBC regulars who are awesome. I'm a huge fan of the beer and service, it's a black owned brewery and I was stoked to support it. Their merch is I have purchased every shirt, hoodie, and hat they have marketed because Alex, Kevin, Tony, Derek, Steph and others there have made it a home for me. Every time I leave work, I hope to stop by for Alex's new creations. At age 39 I am a fan boy, they get busy sometimes like other breweries. Be patient and enjoy a top pick for product, staff and merch.

Was driving by on the way to my hotel and saw the sign for a brewery...so obviously I stopped! I was pleasantly surprised by Bartender Shannon and a live music performance (brad? Drew?). Both were as good as the beer-which was amazing!! Love a passionate musician playing to a small room of regulars+me+his mom, whom he introduced me too afterwards. A great atmosphere, great people, and great beer.... What else is there?

Solid Beer. Huge Space. Friendly staff. What more could you want? My husband and I had been planning an end of the month date night, and Black Horizon fit the picture. With the time change and the sun setting early, this location was a little bit difficult to navigate, but alas, it was discovered at the 8 o'clock hour. What I really was impressed with was the space. L shaped bar right at the back is your center point for staff interaction and to gaze over their list of carefully brewed craft delicacies. A soft blue colored paint weaves throughout the room, while hanging naked light bulbs dance above the counter top. There are several (four) person tables that are scattered and separated enough for more intimate play with your brew mate. The beer, overall, is definitely packed with strong flavors. If coffee is your kryptonite, get the Half to Death. It surprisingly wasn't as rich as I was anticipating it to be, but bold with coffee notes and smooth on the palate. Rich in flavor and beautiful dark brown color, it's going to be on your brain. Their Peachy Keen Cream Ale is a woven venture from the depths of a creative mind - very sweet from the incorporation of sugar but no lingering after taste from the mellowness of the mixed corn flakes. The beers, in general, have a high ABV and range in selection. There really is something for everyone, (no excuses). No food, but check out their website or Facebook for upcoming food truck events. Overall, I think that the intuition of a long lasting establishment has settled nicely into Willowbrook's night life, and it will be interesting to see what will be next...over the horizon. Cheers!

We checked out Black Horizon about two weeks after they opened. It's a pretty decent place and they have good beer. Although it's not yet my favorite brewery but maybe it will grow on me. Seating can be a bit limited but we were there on a Sunday, mid-afternoon with a group, and we managed to get a table. No food as typical but we ordered in some pizzas. The atmosphere is chill, with a cozy couch, game set up, and darker mood lighting which was nice except when the thunderstorms rolled in, as it became very dark in the entire place, almost like nighttime! It almost made me sleepy between all of the pizza and beers. Talk about carb overload! Beers we sampled: Blood Moon Prophecy (red ale) Straight Up (porter) Solaire (Sour - Gose) Swimmer's Ear (witbeir) Out of Nowhere (IPA) this was my fave; I had two full pours of it. We didn't get to interact with the owners/bartenders as much but that's because we were at a table. The little bit of interaction I did have with them wasn't exactly the friendliest when I inquired about purchasing stickers/t-shirts. Oh well, it wasn't a deal breaker. I'll probably stop by again if I'm in the area.

    8oz pours.

I visited Black Horizon Brewing Co on Saturday, 7/30/22 in the afternoon. I visit craft breweries as a hobby. The location is at the normal industrial park & had adequate parking (with some overflow parking), as well as some outside seating for a nice day. The place has a somewhat grunge heavy metal artsy decor and was lively when I arrived. They looked to be having an art show and art participation program inside. There was one server on duty who was kind and efficient. I found out that they don't do flights but pours of 8oz or 16oz. I tried 3 different brews at 8oz. Overall reasonable price for the 3 & I got a brewery sticker (which I normally do). They have several variants for $1. Wi-Fi was solid with password. The beer was tasty; I tried an orange sour, a schwarzbier & a wheat. All were good. I probably liked the orange sour the most which had a more subdued flavor. All three had very good body. I thought it was a nice visit and I'd return if nearby.

Love this place. Great black IPA's. If they would sell wine, we would have stayed for another round.

The main stuff is the beers of course, along with some basic food offerings like pretzels and snacks. Big place with a lot of room for groups. It's a lot bigger than it looks to be honest. There's just not a patio. All of it's inside because there's just no room for it. This is in a part of a large building with a few warehouses. It's about $8 a pint. Kind of a lot but these are locally made craft beers though. We had a few including the Big Beautiful Wheat. It's actually a Bavarian style Hefeweizen. There's also a kitchen where they make a few things. It's about $9 for shareable items. The Pretzel Sticks are pretty standard and pair well with a lot. Great place for locally made beers. It's located on 186th Street. The menu also features grub like paninis and other things.

Was hoping for fresh cooked warm kettle chips None the less will be back with friends

It came with three different sauces: beer-infused mustard, tangy barbecue and creamy horseradish. I could have just sat here and ate charred pork and drank beer and I would have been happy. We also got a Caesar salad, which was OK but would have been a bit better if it came dressed -- the dressing came on the side. The wedge salad was good but was less of a wedge and more of a regular salad. Fenwick Farms has a kids menu, which features things like cheeseburgers, buttered noodles, chicken strips and other kid-friendly foods. Each kids meal comes with a side and a dessert (ice cream sundae), although we didn't get our ice cream, but it was fine because my kids didn't need anymore sugar that day. Speaking of kids: They have free arcade games to play! My kids played Pac-Man and NBA Jam while we waited for our food. The Fenwick Farms Brewing Co. beer is made right here at the brewery, and this is the first and only craft brewery in Rensselaer. They have 30 different beers on tap (most their own, some guest beers), and they offer flights. Indiana knows how to do craft beer, and FFBC is another great example of great beer.
