Because of Barbara's massages and education, I've gained high-quality, pain-free time since I started seeing her in 2009. Barbara uses a variety of massage techniques, and selects each for different locations where needed. No massage has ever been the same. She educates how to correctly perform exercises to obtain full-range movement for different muscles. She also taught me about myofascial release, its importance, and how to do it myself. She is truly a healer, and I so appreciate the individual attention and care that she provides. I first saw Claire, who is an excellent body worker. She provided me with some great combo lymphatic drainage/fascia massages. I have some long-term pain issues in most of my joints, so I decided to invest to see Barbara - and it has been more than worth it. She is kind, caring, compassionate, and she will always spend the extra time it takes to cover everything. She takes a holistic approach, helping you with things to do at home to keep up the benefits you get by going there. Through Classpass I found this gem of a bodywork boutique, and I have already had two different massages. Each was unique in experience and results. The first was a Full Range Therapeutic Bodywork Session with Claire, and it was quite nifty. Several (non-hand) tools were used, so it was fun and effective. The second was a Peace Relaxation massage with Miriah, who intuitively knew where to focus her efforts. I certainly felt seen as a client and was so relaxed and rejuvenated by the end of the treatment. I felt taller and straighter! I also met Barbara for the first time, and she was very sweet and welcoming. I appreciate WholeFrog's multi-disciplinary approach and will definitely be booking again. Also, for the fragrance sensitive, thankfully this is not one of those places that will leave you reeking of dryer sheets. I so appreciate their clean linens and atmosphere. Barba is the most incredible masseuse living in the world today and possibly that may have ever existed. As a fan of massage therapy for relaxation and occasionally to relieve pain, I have had many different massages from a variety of therapists; Some good, some okay and some, just plain terrible. In almost all cases however, I wished that any given therapist had more strength, would expend more energy and/ or had more knowledge. Look no further, Barbara possesses the highest combination of all. Part of her work ethic and skill may be attributed to the fact that she's actually a registered nurse as well. On top of all that, she is a genuinely wonderful soul, who truly cares about people and spends a lot her off time doing charity work. Hearing about some of her life changing contributions to others might qualify her for a sainthood or something like that. I don't know how different churches quantify that, but should consider her! I can't stress enough how excellent of an experience I've had with Whole Frog and specifically Zahava Bost. I have a background in massage therapy which can make me a challenging client because I know exactly what I want out of a treatment. More often than not, I have been disappointed. With Zahava, however, this is BODYWORK at its finest. I have been struggling for over a year and a half with back pain from a bulged disc and disc degeneration. Trying to avoid surgical intervention and cortisone injections, I have tried PT, strength training, weight loss and stretching. While they all helped to manage the symptoms, the first real pain relief I received was after a treatment with Zahava. She is extremely knowledgeable about the body and her myofascial release technique is exactly what I needed. I immediately booked another treatment a week later, which was just as great. I went to a 90 minute lymphatic massage with Barbara that my surgeon recommended and she was so known and fantastic! She felt like family, truly caring about my ailments and upcoming surgery.
