To make things worse, the salt-encrusted bagel it was on was so salty as to make the sandwich almost inedible (I had to scrape off the salt and even then it was hard to swallow). But that's partly on us, because they'd run out of many of the other bagel types (we'd wanted onion or everything) and we thought we'd try one we hadn't tried before. Lesson learned. But even on an edible bagel, this sandwich would be an incredible, almost mindblowing ripoff - on the approximate level of something you might get from a railway station vending machine. For more than eight dollars, folks - that's half the cost of an entree at a decent restaurant! I would have been annoyed if I'd paid $3 for a sandwich this pitiful. Save your money and buy some mid-quality lunch meat and cheese at a supermarket. Maybe get the bagels themselves at Bruegger's - last time we got a dozen assorted bagels for a brunch at home they weren't bad. But avoid the salt-encrusted monstrosity at all costs if you value your palate. (Note: I've had good sandwiches from the Belmont branch of Bruegger's, so it might just be this branch.)

Because on the one hand, you technically have ample amounts of spaces to park in. Or...you WOULD, if not for the signs en masse that read "[insert corporate company name here] parking only - all violators will be towed at owner's expense." I find this hilarious because I feel like that would be impossible to enforce for folks parking less than 10 minutes to pick up an order like I did. So, I guess my pro tip of the day would be: feel free to park wherever at your own risk if and ONLY if you're getting take-away. If you're actually dining in, I suppose you'll have to wait painstakingly for one of the few parking spots actually designated for Pressed specifically to open. By the way, if you're picking up a take-away order, the take-out shelf is smack dab next to their side entrance opposite the side where you would normally order your food. It's one of those "blink once and you'll miss it" type things the first time visiting. From my vantage point, this place stays quite busy. Not surprising, considering the Burlington area in general. Clearly, a lot of folks come here mid-work day which is also the only reason I came here to begin with. Overall, not a bad lunch stop, though the parking can be slightly obnoxious. I'm giving Pressed Cafe in Burlington 4 Chipotle Short Rib bowls dubiously seasoned out of 5.

When a place is new, I think we can all agree that we should give it at least a few weeks to get the kinks out. When I first heard, last spring, that there would be a new bagel place coming to town, I got very excited at the prospect of having a real bagel place, rather than a chain, where bagels would be made entirely on the premises the way they should be made. I was there the first day they opened, and sure, as some people point out, there were some kinks with a brand new staff and owners who had not been in the bagel business. I've been back many times in the first few weeks and this is my observation. The bagels are, without a doubt, the closest I've ever had to a New York bagel. And to the uninitiated, every bagel outside of New York is a poor second cousin. These bagels are crunchy on the outside and chewy on the inside just the way a bagel should be. They are made from scratch right on the premises behind glass so the entire process is on view.There are some tables with about 14 seats where you can eat your sandwich comfortably. A wifi password is posted for those who want to get online. I give Wicked Bagel high marks. I'll note that any kinks observed in the first week have definitely been ironed out....a great friendly staff. read more

I hate to do this to a fairly new business but hoping my review makes it better. The bagels to start with are quite good. The sandwiches as well. The service, awful. At times there are as many as 7 or 8 employees in view but only 1 at the register with another waiting to pick them and put them in a bag. If there are more than 1 or 2 people in line ahead of you expect to stay for a while, any more than that - big wait. Sandwiches can take a great while depending on # people ahead of you and who is working. Chance of them getting your order right on the first try is 50-50. The staff quite simply, seem stunned. Not unfriendly but yet not friendly which is fine, but they all seem zoned out on many levels. Note to owners - get your staff coordinated so that you get the most out of them and your customers in and out - we want you to stay in business and be successful. For now only go here if you like good bagels and have extra time. read more
