The service was good but everything else was extremely mediocre. For a place dedicated to donuts, they all had a strange taste of perfume and blatant lack of enjoyment that made it impossible to truly enjoy a donut. I've eaten better at supermarket bakeries. I ordered the green brûlée donut and the hard sugar coating was so thick it was a battle to even nibble, and I don't think thats the point. Also the box filled the car with an old egg smell. Fresh and delicious donuts with a drive-thru for your convenience, how can you go wrong? These donuts are huge. You really only need one but due to the variety of flavors and me being a heifer, I'm a quest to try almost every flavor. I haven't found one that I absolutely love yet but the raised chocolate glaze is probably the best chocolate glaze donut I've ever had. The chocolate they use is decadent and rich. Its not the average chocolate taste you get on most donuts. My second favorite flavor is of course Maple bacon. They definitely dont cheat you on the amount of bacon bits either. I've been trying to get the Elvis and pink hibiscus but its been sold out. Hopefully soon. I'm also dying to try a donut bowl. I recently tried the donut breakfast sandwich with egg and cheese. Not as magical as I was hoping. I thought the bun would be a sweeter style donut. The cheese on my sandwich wasn't melted either. I love the whole rockabilly style box too. I love a good donut so I had to try Wicked Donuts for the name alone. When I walked in I noticed a small daily selection. Definitely not the normal selection you see at a regular donut shop. The choices were a few out of the ordinary donut flavors. They don't carry a variety of classic donuts. I saw glazed and a maple iced round. Choices were minimal. I was hoping to try the pb&j but they rugby have it today. They don't have all the donuts on the menu pics you might have seen. I would say they offer maybe half of that menu. With not a lot of flavors jumping out at me to encourage me to try, I went with the sticky sinn-a-bun since it looked to be the most delicious outbof all of my choices. When they rung me up 2 buns were over $10. So definitely not your regular donut shop prices. This price was not noted on the board of prices nor was it marked in the donut case. I was surprised when they told me the total. It's a larger size than their other donuts. Their other donuts were what I would describe as regular size and definitely not big. I believe the board said the most expensive type of donut was $3.25. I thought the sinn-a-bunn was good but not so much so that I would return. It didn't knock my socks off for the $5 price. I placed an order online which I've done in the past with no issue. It said they would be ready in 25 minutes. I live about 10 minutes away. Get in the drive through. 1 car ahead of me. Took about 5 minutes for him to do his thing. I pull up... crickets. So I wait 5 minutes before saying hello... good morning... hello... nothing. I pull around to the window and no one is there. I wait a few more minutes before going in. There is one family sitting at a table and one gentleman in front of me ordering. 4 employees and not a pep in anyone's step. I get to the register and let him know I placed my order online. At this point it's been 35-40 minutes since I've placed my order online. He finds the ticket and says we will work on it now. Sir, what is the point of ordering online? So I wait 5-7 minutes for my donuts and coffee only to get home and realize none of the donuts in the box were what I ordered. $40 in donuts... an hour of my life gone and my husband had to go back to get the order corrected. These donuts are so freaking cute!!! I saw pics on Yelp and decided to head over to Wicked to check it out. We drove past like 4 other donut places on the way here, so it was a serious commitment. When you open the door of Wicked Donuts, you're transported back to the 1950's. It's an adorable diner with a massive selection of donuts behind a glass deli case. (I do wish there was a list of donuts somewhere because all the labels weren't out and I had to ask about a bunch of them.) They also have this adorable cardboard car full of mini donuts (not donut holes, but mini donuts). I didn't actually try any of the donuts but everyone else LOVED them. They looked gorgeous and apparently tasted as good as they looked! We didn't get the cereal donut, but if they have it when you go, PLEASE try it for me. These donuts are very good in terms of freshness and also size. I also feel they are a good value for their size and quality. I've only had their classic flavors - glazed, chocolate, maple, and strawberry. The thing that I feei is lacking is flavor. The donuts themselves have a very nice, light, airy and fresh feeling. But the glazes are oddly lacking in flavor. The maple glaze barely even tasted like maple at all...more just like a sweet glaze. The strawebrry was also verrrrrrrry light in flavor to the point that I probably wouldn't have known that it was strawberry if I didn't already know. I want to like these donuts 100% but I can really only like them about 85% which is sad because they are very good. But when I want to taste a maple flavor, I buy at my local grocery store for donuts. But I do go back to Wicked occasionally, maybe next time I'll try one of their more speciality flavors. read more

We were in Sun City Summerlin for a soccer game and decided to celebrate with Wicked Donuts. First time trying them and it was a positive experience. The place has a restaurant 50's diner feel and was very clean. There is a drive through but we went inside. We were greeted immediately and the serves are very attentive and professional and nice. The donuts were fresh, cake light and doughy and so so good. The mango passion fruit was filled with a good amount of jelly and the flavors complimented each other so well. The flavor taste stay with you-Yum!! The Nutella donut tasted like a Heath bar and it was creamy and fresh. My son loved the pink sprinkles donut and the classic glazed was wonderful. Wicked is OKAY by my standards. You see, I'm a SoCal girl & we have local donut shops all over the place. Literally littered. Unlike my current residence where they're actually harder to come by. There's Pinkbox and Krispy Kreme which are hyped up commerical types. Though the kreme does get my stamp of approval but I digress... Wicked is very trendy and visually appealing. This is going off of driving by & seeing pics on Yelp. I was eyeing this place before they even opened. Honestly, I didn't even check their Yelp page before today. I was just THAT excited to give them a try. The verdict?! It was alright. Unnecessarily overpriced with a nauseating selection. Definitely my own opinion by the looks of so many raving fans. I used the drive thru and was overwhelmed even after asking for recommendations. I even mentioned this being my first time. Service etiquette could be much better. The menu looked nice but it doesn't have much of your standard donut varieties pictured. It is tiered which I suppose helps. I love a good donut but shelling out nearly $40 for a dozen seems a little frivolous even for me. Not only that but aside from the fancy names, toppings, and niche ambiance.. It's just dense dough with a little too much diabetes. Granted, there are some real winning flavor profiles here hence the 2 stars. When your norm is paying $6 to $10 for a rather fluffy & tasty dozen, this just doesn't make sense to me. COVID CONDITIONS: Only drive thru was open which was perfectly fine for us. When it comes to donuts, for me, less is more. I prefer the classic style donut shops over the instagrammable shops that try too hard and put TOO MUCH CRAP on their donuts. Wicked Donuts is one of the newer shops in Summerlin that has classic flavors as well as their own creative flavors without ruining their donuts with excessive toppings. When it comes to packaging, they've got the coolest donut boxes in town. When it comes to taste, flavors are spot on without being overly too sweet. The Pink Lady had a nice hibiscus taste, Lemon Poppyseed reminds me of a classic buttermilk bar, the matcha/strawberry combo in the My Favorite Martian was great, as was the PB & J. Each donut is pretty huge too! Each donut also has a clean, professional appearance which is a big plus and is sometimes overlooked in other shops. My only slight knock is that the texture of the donuts are just a little too dense for my liking. Drive thru is available which is perfect for the times we are currently in. tl;dr - Donuts were burnt & missing key ingredients as advertised. Not up to par, but I'm hopeful for improvement. Breaks my heart to provide this review, but it's my experience, and I can only hope they improve. Soft opening - so there's room for improvement! I was super excited about this place opening. A nearby drive-thru donut shop in Summerlin??? The only one of its kind besides same ol' Dunkin?? Count me in! Plus, in an abundance of caution, I'm not entering any establishments. Just delivery, curbside, or drive-thrus for me. However, the donuts' appearances don't match the photos online. For example, the apple and pear fritter was dark vs the light frosting featured online. Dark, because it was burnt. Strong burnt flavor. There were no apple or pear pieces as is custom with a fritter. Just a generic sugared coating and then dense dough. Next, the Blue Suede Banana filled donut seemed to have been made incorrectly. Not only was it missing the toasted bananas on top, but it was also missing the filling! No peanut butter/banana filling in sight. Also a burnt flavor to the dough, with a dense quality, topped with bitter ganache, which wouldn't have tasted as bitter if there were actual sweet filling to balance it. So something went wrong, which is disappointing, plus it makes the donut worth more the "classic" price of $1.25 rather than their "spotlight" price of $3. I tried the apple crumble and the pink lady. I liked the topping flavors, but the quality of donut was still burnt. I will revisit this place in 2-3 months in the hope that they have gotten better. read more

Yes, this is me trying another donut place. My kryptonite. But, I do have to admit, the only reason I tried this place is because I really didn't have any breakfast in stock at my place. So, I used it as an excuse to make the trek (20 minute drive from my place). A small side note from someone's previous review, this is not right off the 215 & Lake Mead. One still has to travel about 2.5 miles east to reach the location. This place is in a pretty large building with a lot of parking. It also has a drive-thru. I placed my order online through their website and it was already boxed up prior to my arrival. I only got 2, trying to keep my slender figure, the Blue Suede Banana and the Tiramisu. The Blue Suede Banana is filled with peanut butter banana creme, covered with southern chocolate ganache and topped with honey fried banana slices. Now, this was a good size donut and it didn't skimp on the filling. It was also very fresh. Although it did state that there was some peanut butter in it, the banana overpowered any of that. But, it was still good. The Tiramisu donut was a mix of coffee, cocoa, mascarpone cream and rum espresso. Again, this was a big donut, with a lot going on. When I went to take a bite, the cocoa really hits the sense. But, it also seemed to have some sort of cinnamon aroma, which really caught me by surprise. Maybe it was just me. Similar to the banana donut, the creme filling, which actually split the donut was plentiful. The mascarpone wasn't as strong as one would expect from a standard slice of tiramisu. But it was still creamy and had a good flavor. One thing that really wasn't needed was the little "shot" of rum espresso. It was in a little vile, pressed in to the donut. Just seemed kind of irrelevant. This place, based solely on the 2 donuts that I had, would definitely rank as one of the better donut spots in Vegas. read more

Ok ok not bad, not bad! I am the biggest sweet tooth and have a special soft spot for donuts! I've also been on a kick to try all the gourmet donuts everywhere so I think i have a good taste data base to compare against. First, I thought this place was a transplant from a PNW chain but I was wrong. It's a Vegas Donut shop all its own with its own gimmick. They also just opened a few weeks ago and are currently drive through only so expect to wait. I tried to come last Thursday AM at 7:00AM and the line was wrapped through the parking lot so I gave up. Tried again on Sunday morning and was car #12 in line before they opened at 6:30AM. Waited about 15 minutes before getting to the order window. Suggest checking out their online menu so you know what to get. I also included a photo of their coffee menu because that's not on their website. I ordered 6 donuts (got $1 off) and their iced vanilla latte per recommendation. Total came out to about $20. Their coffee was meh.. definitely not the best cup I've had for $6. Recommend going elsewhere for that. As for their donuts-- their baked cake donuts (chocolate iced, she devil) didn't taste super fresh and were a little tough to eat. Their brioche battered donuts, however, were freshly fried and pretty delish! I got the glaze, favorite martian, and the pink lady (hibiscus) flavors. They were all basically the same base with the varied frosting giving the flavors and they were pretty yummy. I also got an apple pear fritter and my family seemed to enjoy that one as well. The brioche donuts remind me a little of ones from back home that I really enjoy (Sidecar). Looking forward to their mini donuts when those make an appearance! I'll definitely be back sometime when the hype has died down and their lobby is open. Hopefully the cake donuts will be a little more fresh as I'm sure they have to mass produce early to accommodate for the influx. I feel like you can tell a lot about a donut maker by their glazed donuts, ha The glaze itself is great. It's perfectly sweet. They glaze top & sides of the donut. The inside is more of a dense bread texture. I like more of a traditional light & fluffy donut but, I'm not knocking them. Gourmet donuts don't vibe with my taste buds. Ordered two of their 'Spotlight' donuts for $2.95 each. Not a bad price for what you get. I got the MY FAVORITE MARTIAN STRAWBERRY GREEN TEA and the COINTREAU CREME BRULEE. Both were huge in size and tasted good. The cashier suggested I try the Vietnamese Coffee, so i ordered the iced version. It was yummy, but wish they put a little bit more of sweetened condensed milk in it. I'll be sure to ask for that next time i go and get it sweeter. read more

Where do I start?!? I was super excited to try this place as my husband raves about all the different types of creative doughnuts they have, unfortunately I would've been better off going to McDonalds and ordering an apple pie. The doughnuts were not fresh and mediocre at best. Neither doughnut we bought was warm there was no fresh aroma of doughnuts being baked or ingredients being made. I expected a lot more from a gourmet shop and would recommend anyone to try pinkbox or another shop before spending the costly price at Wicked. The service was super slow and the young woman taking orders seems unfamiliar with the products and zoned out when preparing the orders. When taking your order she went back and forth from the doughnut display case to the register. Once completed she charged you and the wait for your order was ridiculous considering that the doughnuts were already made and sitting in the display case. As we waited for our order of 2 doughnuts to be boxed and 2 coffees I observed that the entire serving system was not efficient and created a frustrated energy as you watch all the employees search in unlabeled doughnut trays for drive through orders to be complete and scattering around trying to put boxes together for each order. When we finally got our order it was the young woman that took our order who prepared it and she handed me our order but forgot the coffee we ordered. I said thanks and asked for our coffee and she looked to the young man who never helped us and asked if our coffee was ready. That was unsettling being that this entire process took place where it was visible for everyone to observe. What was even more disturbing was the young woman was not using gloves when handling the doughnuts. She literally was handling cash and food without any sanitary protection hair in face and no gloves. Overall I would not recommend this place as it's clear the owner(s) spend more money on the appearance of the "Wicked" brand than they do for customer service and quality of products. read more
