If I only had 5 words to describe my entire experience, I would say "get the duck fat fries!" Truly, that's it. They arrived piping hot straight from the kitchen and had a perfectly balanced hint of rosemary - absolutely delicious. I also ordered the chicken waffle sandwich, which was simply mediocre. I thought the chicken strips could've definitely been crispier, but the jalapeno jam added a nice kick! Overall, I had a pretty good experience. Come for the cozy ambiance and atmosphere, but stay for the duck fat fries. read more

Delicious new American and bar fare with tasty strong cocktails, my standard for a very enjoyable dinner. I had the crab mac and cheese and it was the best macaroni and cheese I've ever had a restaurant. Not too much old bay, really cheesey, with big hunks of crab. We got the specials for the day and the ribs were delicious, fall right off the bones, and a ton of meat. It can with fries and coleslaw and I'm not usually a coleslw person but theirs was good! Pros: Their outdoor space is a lovely set-up with its décor and ambiance. Service was great, creative cocktail menu. I loved the mezcal drink I ordered. Brussel sprout appetizer had a nice subtle heat and was well prepared with a generous portion. Cons: It doesn't seem like they know what they want to be. Based on their cocktail menu and their main entrees it seems like they want to bring some creativity to their offerings but a large section of their menu is sandwiches. My assumption was that they'd bring a similar creativity to their sandwiches but honestly my turkey Rueben (the wicked rachel) was just alright. Nothing really stood out about it. In a city full of great hole in the wall delis it seems like the sandwich section doesn't add anything to their menu. It doesn't stack up to the better sandwich places of Baltimore. I understand that may not be their specialty but for being a prominent part of their menu, I still have to rate that accordingly. I would go again to try their main entrees. read more

Me and my fiancée went here for Baltimore Restaurant Week. I can count on my fingers how many times I've went out to eat in the past two years because my household is still very COVID cautious. I was so happy with Wicked Sisters's outdoor dining set up! They had a nice patio surrounded by huge fans, so we were able to have a pleasant lunch even though it was 90 degrees out. I was also impressed with our waitress (I believe her name was Caitlin?) who was attentive to us - I was worried that since we were one of two groups on the patio that we might be forgotten but our courses came out at a steady pace and our waters were never empty. The one bump was that the bar was busy so my drink came late, but our waitress was communicative with us about the issue. The food was delicious and we both really loved the bread pudding. read more

We ordered The Honey Sriacha Brussel Sprouts, the Old Bay Crispy Wings, and the Crab Mac and Cheese. Each dish was great! Stopped by for a quick lunch here and loved it! I got the roasted veg salad and added a grilled salmon. Deeeeelicious! Love when a chef doesn't like killing vegetables. The veggies were flavorful and charred enough with a little crunch still there. The salad included leeks and mushrooms and carrots and different colored beets. So good! We also both got coffee and were really impressed with how good it was. Met my BFF for a few drinks here this evening. She suggested a change in venue and I am glad she did. I love this place. Roomy bar - the whole place has a very open nd cozy feel to it. I asked our bartender Danny to make me a bourbon cocktail and his creation was heavenly -- for once -- not a honey drenched over sweet concoction. He kept our waters iced and full. I asked for a menu and ordered the Mac & Crab. Wait...this is an app, right? Very tasty and 2/3 of it came home with me. I am a creature of habit and so I tend to stick to places to which I can walk in Fed Hill or I Uber to my prior neighborhoods- Harbor East and Fells Point. I sometimes need a nudge off my line. We agreed to have our future happy hours here. I give it a 5 because it nails what it wants to be - a welcoming neighborhood establishment with great service, cocktails made well, good food, and it's reasonably priced. I don't like the name... I assume it has meaning to the owners but it doesn't reflect what the place is and I change it in my mind to Twisted Sisters which was an 80s hair band. read more

I went for brunch with my Bestfriend and absolutely loved it. It's small, cozy, medium volume, and really just relaxing. The service was amazing by Dan, he was quick, efficient and kind. I ordered the kiwi lemonade and it was one of the most memorable lemonades I've ever had. I also ordered the chicken and waffle sandwhich and boy, I can't wait to come back again. I didn't order any alcohol as we came for brunch and I was too tired, but noticed their bar had a bunch of homemade syrups which intrigues me to come back and try a specialty cocktail. This place has caught my eye several months ago when I was on my way to a different establishment and I wanted to make sure I had the opportunity to visit it at some point. With all the Covid shut downs and businesses struggling I wanted to get out there sooner rather than later. It is sad to say that on a Friday afternoon the place was just about empty and I'm sure it's not because of the quality of food and drink nor service. We certainly enjoyed some very good craft cocktails and although we only nibbled on appetizers we found them to be very tasty as well. I had the meatballs with cheesy garlic bread and they were home made meatballs with a robust marinara. The wings my wife had were perfectly crisp and not overly sauced. A full bar is available to have the drink of your choice and they also offer a variety of local craft beers in addition to the good cocktails. A place worth visiting. read more

Today I Ordered the curry bowl with tofu to go at 20 bucks, but when I went to pick up it was around $24. I was like wtf and knew of course they added their own gratuity for literally doing what I paid them to do in the first place--cook and package the overpriced food. I love their food but I deliberately do not order from here in any manner due to their laughable prices. Really great spot with a great menu! Got to try the gaint burger and I'm not kidding this baby is huge, might be good to be really hungry or have a buddy to split this with! The burger is so interesting with their wicked sauce, onion rings, cole slaw, bacon, delicious meat, and more! It's one of the best burger I've ever had - the mess is worth it! The brussel sprouts are banging. The bourbon and gingers at the bar were also amazing and only $4 on happy hour! They made it with ginger beer and lime, amazing! I usually get the steak pita and other things. And usually the food is so great but todaaaay, my steak pita was terrible not only the meat tasted funny (i could live with that honestly) but whatever sauce and non onion frizzle (cabbage maybe?) stuff was it was disgusting. It was some red watery sauce and some idk what it is fake onions. The menu didn't say they switched it or feature some new one, so I was highly disappointed in my steak pita. The nourish bowl is perfect - not spicy, not oily, not too salty - everything I want in a plant based meal from a restaurant. Additionally, we came here with 10 family members after Christmas and had a PERFECT family dinner - with outstanding service. We came here for Restaurant Week on Saturday for brunch. The space is like most you'll find in Hampden - hipster. Which I'm completely fine with so no issues there. There was a long wait for a table so we decided to sit at the bar. We were helped quickly and ordered a Blueberry Mojito and Mango Mule from their mocktail menu (we had our bartender throw in some shots of liquor of course). Between their restaurant week and regular menu there were A LOT of options. If you're vegetarian or vegan there's quite a few choices for you. I ordered steak and eggs off the regular menu while my boyfriend got the salmon croquettes and turkey sandwich from the restaurant week menu. His croquettes came out first. They were deliciously crispy and the filling was great. These were definitely the star of our meal. The entrees on the other hand were...bleh. The sandwhich was dry (as was my steak) and everything lacked flavor. Nothing worth writing much about so I'll leave it at that. read more

A bit on the outskirts of Hampden, but not to fear, this just means there's more street parking options that are free. Went for dinner with friends and was impressed with their cocktail list. They have drinks that have kombucha in them- yum! I definitely recommend you start off with the Brussels sprouts- perfectly crispy on the outside and nicely seasoned. Had the scallops with risotto for my meal. Portion size was good (had to take some home). Scallops were juicy and nicely prepared, and the risotto was perfectly creamy without overdoing it. There's a bar downstairs and upstairs. They also have an outdoor area upstairs, which I definitely recommend for the warmer nights. read more

I had gone to Wicked Sisters when it first opened and had just an OK experience, probably due to the fact it was so new and super busy (the service was one of the biggest issues). Recently, I wanted to plan a special group dinner for our friends "last hoorah" before the arrival of their 2nd baby. Our group of 8 loves dinning together, but many times we just end up at someone's home as it's hard for 8 people to be able to openly talk and hear one another in a restaurant setting. Someone suggested Wicked Sisters and their upstairs semi-private room that seats 8 so I decided to give it another shot, and I am SO GLAD that I did!! FOOD: All of the appetizers are outstanding and you really can't go wrong. We had the Brussels sprouts, onion rings, duck fat fries and meatballs- a hungry group I know. For entrees, a bunch of us, including myself, had restaurant week specials (awesome they let us order a la carté) which were all great but since they don't normally serve them let me tell you that you can't go wrong with the pork shank! My husband ordered this, and I basically stole half for myself :) My two friends that had burgers said they were terrific. We also had 2 desserts, the Smith Island cake was particularly good. It's nice there are a variety of options for everyone in all price ranges. DRINKS: They have a great beer menu on draft, and I'm obsessed with their beer can style glasses--I ordered some for my house after my last visit. They also make killer crushes, something I have also always loved about their sister restaurant AT. My pregnant friend loved and appreciated their selection of great tasting virgin drinks, and I have to mention I ordered a virgin mocktail mango mule first by accident, but they threw some vodka into it and it tasted awesome! And my favorite of all they serve Wolffer Estate cider--something I rarely ever see year round but love! SERVICE: Our server Zach really had his hands full with our crazy crew of 8 and he did such an excellent job keeping up with our drink orders, crazy questions and special requests. He was outgoing and attentive and provided just the right amount of friendly banter and "check ins". As I said previously, everyone's drinks were always flowing and the food was all well timed. We especially appreciated the owner, Charlie, coming by and saying hello as all of us in the group used to frequent Alexander's Tavern almost weekly back when we lived downtown years ago and they first opened. He mentioned they not only own AT and Papis (another one of my favs) but also Hucks which I will certainly have to try based on the other 3 restaurants being so great. ATMOSPHERE: Both visits were on weekend nights and they were fully booked it appeared so defiantly get a reservation ahead of time. It's great they have two bars you can dine in though, or just grab a drink. If you do have a larger group I suggest calling in and requesting the private room upstairs as it really made for a great intimate dining experience where I was able to talk to everyone and they even have a private TV in there for the sports obsessed (all our husbands). read more

Ok! So, I PREVIOUSLY wrote a bad review of Wicked Sisters (WS), based solely on an "attempted" dining experience. The owner, Lori, reached out to me, was VERY apologetic for my experience and asked for opportunity to "make it right"... I made the reservation and visited again with my HunBun. Walking through the door, I was greeted by the hostess, who was SUPER DOPE. Overall, The staff during my visit was very friendly and attentive, across the board. I had the chance to speak with the manager on duty several times... She was great! I didn't feel like I was receiving any special attention as a result of my previous review. Everyone seemed genuinely cool. The manager, who's name i can't seem to remember, apologized for my prior experience and made it clear that, that's not the norm for Wicked Sisters, and suggested that, when dining at the restaurant, any issues, be taken to management's attention, immediately! And now the good part... THE FOOD!! I WILL return to Wicked Sister in the RAIN, on a TRAIN, with a GOAT and on a BOAT, FOR THE BRUSSEL SPROUTS... They are probably the best I've ever had... and if it's one thing I know, it's BRUSSEL SPROUTS.... The menu is very diverse and accommodating (#veganoptions). Our other food selections , were AMAZING. My partner had a sandwich and was pleasantly surprised with the portion size. She took a bite, and packaged the rest to go! The fries were also quite yummy. Their texture and flavor, were spot on! This is coming from a French Fry Connoisseur! The drinks were GREAT!! Creative, Flavorful, Fresh and STRONG... Perfect for HAPPY HOUR! This was really good. Had to order through Grubhub for delivery. The turkey burger itself was thick and meaty. It had a slight funk to it, but it didn't ruin anything. The star of the burger is the guacamole. They top it with hot sauce but the acid and mild heat are complmentary. The onion rings were a tasty surprise. One reason is because I ordered fries. The other reason is because over time it maintained a delicious crunch. I recommend this place. It's good. read more
