My mother and I have dined here 3 times during my current trip. Each time we had amazing drinks, delicious food, and excellent service. Our servers Tessa, Serina, and Alex were very helpful, informative, and friendly with servicing us, getting us our food/drinks quickly, checking in on how we were liking everything, and with helping us select food/drinks. We rave about this place and this specific location to all of our friends who live locally and that intend to travel to Myrtle Beach. Wicked Tuna was probably one of the better seafood spots we found during our vacation. It is a nice location with a great view on the pier. I will say just to have good seafood, not the greatest I've ever had, good, you will be paying over $100 just for two people. A family will be crazy expensive in my mind. We ordered dinner that had a great variety of shrimp, crab cake, grouper, and scallops. I thought it all tasted pretty good except the scallops weren't great in my opinion. The mashed potatoes and vegetables were tasty. I also ordered she crab soup and it was just okay as well. They do also have live music sometimes which was nice and staff was very friendly. We had a nice window view of the ocean and did not have to make reservations but I know most people do. Just go before the rush arrives before 6 and you should be okay. I would maybe come back to try their sushi which I saw was popular, but I don't think the dinner was worth the expensive price tag. read more

Not gonna lie, this place is pretty rough. Generally one goes to wicked tuna expecting at least good food with possibly "meh" service... but by god was I wrong. Our waiter and busser were atrocious and pushy. Ambiance was fine, but that means nothing when the hospitality was near a zero. Appetizers were okay, but the meal was close to inedible at times with the cook of many fish being unsafe. Could it have been our particular meal that was just bad on an off day? No actually. I was so determined I went again and was actually met with the same guy giving such bad service at the front... and just to check that the fish was always this bad, I got the same thing! And it was still awful. So sad. Cannot caution you away from this dreadful marsh Walk spot anymore than what I am. Don't go. Please. Try dead dog saloon or somewhere else. read more

The website advertises third deck outdoor seating but the hostess told us this dining option was closed! That was the selling point for our visit to 2nd Pier. We took a seat at the bar rather than wait 40 minutes for an indoor table. The bar was packed and only one bartender was running around. It took a while to order a drink and grab menus. The bar appeared very scattered with servers stacking dirty glassware on top the the dishwasher three levels high, a dropped liquor bottle, and drinks being dumped out because mint and other remnants from previous drinks were stuck in the shakers and then transferred to new drinks. Seeing the unclean shakers made it very easy for me to decide on a glass of wine. The happy hour was well priced and house wine was only $4 for about a nine ounce pour. The food we ordered were spicy tuna roll, gyoza, and oysters rockefeller. The oysters were the most flavorful of all three items with the sushi a close second. The gyoza was dry and over cooked with a lack of ponzu sauce. I think my experience would have been much more enjoyable watching the sunset on the deck rather than the hectic rush of the bar. My only complain is the up charge on the drinks because of souvenir cups. I don't want a $20 drink just because it comes in a fancy cup that I don't want. Our hotel offered us food vouchers for select restaurants, and Wicked Tuna happened to be one of them. Didn't have too high of expectations, but this place exceeded them! I got the Seafood Platter--grouper, shrimp, crabcake, scallops with mashed potatoes and vegetable medley. It was delicious! Really yummy. The restaurant sits high atop the Pier. Spectacular views of the ocean. There was live music, which was nice, but a little loud. Our server was sharp and attentive. Very impressed with this restaurant. Nice place, with ocean view. Food was good, I had the Maryland crab cake sandwich which was really good, my fiancé had fish & chips, he liked it too. I had the kiwi caipirinha was really gooood, only thing was the AC wasn't working at all in the middle of summer, I wasn't able to finish my food because I was sweating like crazy. Awful service! No where on your website does it state that your happy hour was bar only!! For 4 days we have been to numerous restaurants for happy hour and they honored it for table service! If a customer shows the website to the manager and she asks us to leave that is ridiculous...it wasnt crowded and with a party of 8 you lost at least over a $100 but I guess she and your business doesn't care! My husband and I live in Conway and like to frequent the Inlet. This is by far our favorite place to go on the marsh! Food is always amazing, we have never had bad service, and they have a wonderful choice in cocktails and rotating taps. When friends and family come visit from out of town this is always where we take them! Also if you aren't super hungry and just want to have some drinks and little snacks they have an outdoor bar down stars called the Tuna Shack with lots of seating and picnic tables outside. What an amazing view! But if you are looking for great food and good service, this may not be for you. I started my meal with a couple of apps. First I ordered the miso soup. Once it arrived at my table, it was almost cold. Then I was surprised to find it was not Miso soup but Seafood Miso Soup. It had fake crab, shrimp etc. in the soup and that did not work for me. If I had known this was "Seafood Miso" I would have skipped it. I found it to be salty and had no real miso flavor at all IMHO. Since that did not work out for me, I set the whole bowl on the other side of the table after taking only 2 bites. Since the soup was so disappointing, I ordered the seaweed salad and it was just fine. No surprises here. It was just like ever other basic seaweed salad I have eaten across America so it was totally acceptable. I then ordered the Wicked Tuns sushi roll. Again, once it finally arrived, it was really good. All the flavors melded together really well and were fresh. My only issue was the roll was really small and very limited on the mail ingredients. For $18 I was expecting something a little more filling. But once again, it was pretty good. Since the roll did not fill me up, I ordered a burger. Once it finally arrived at the table, the burger was really good and was cooked exactly how I ordered it, medium well. However, it was pretty cold. The meat was barely warn and I could tell that it has sat on the line for a little while waiting for my server to pick it up. I honestly believe this restaurant does sell quality food, but my server was lacking in taking care of me. There were only 3 tables with customers in the restaurant, at least 3 other servers working the floor (plus a bartender taking care of the one guy who was sitting at the bar) so he clearly was not in the weeds. When I walked in, my server was sitting at a table by the front door chatting up a female server who was rolling silverware. Every time I needed more tea, I had to get up, find him, show him my glass and then I got more tea. The same thing happened when I needed ketchup for my fries, an extra napkin etc. After finishing my meal, I sat there for another 15 minutes before I went to search for him yet again to get my check. He did ask why my soup had not been eaten, and even though I told him how disappointed I was, it was still on my bill. ($8 for miso soup). After how long it took to get everything else done, I did not ask to have it removed from my bill because I did not know how long it would take to get another check, so I just paid for it. On the bright side, at least I knew just where to find him when I needed something. I will not put this place on my "Never at here again" list, but it will be a while before I go back. read more

An added plus is that the restaurant is located right near the ocean with beautiful views. The food was also very delicious. Online it says parties of 6 get automatic 20% added. On the menu parties of 5...and they tax after the gratuity. Management was unhelpful with the issue. Seems it's a law that each establish can choose to follow or not. We looked forward to having dinner at the 2nd avenue pier location as others in our party had boasted of the other location. The food was very good but a bit on the lukewarm side when it arrived to our table. It was unfortunate that one in our party had to eat separately as there was an accident delivering her food and had to be remade. While it is a nice thought to have a live musician, the gentleman who played was extremely loud and often bellowed out the words to songs he sang. It really took away from any ambiance that we hoped to have overlooking the ocean for a relaxing dinner. We asked when he would finish his set but he played well past the 7pm time that we were told. We were looking for a nice meal to celebrate our anniversary. It had a nice more romantic feel overlooking the beach, seating is indoor and windowsills kind of block the view though. We had to duck or stretch to really be able to see out them. The waiter was very kind and did a great job. We were able to get right in and not too long of a wait on food either. My husband got the lobster trio and really enjoyed it. I got the seafood sampler and they were all delicious and beautifully seasoned! The vegetables were also good except the broccolini surprisingly had no seasoning. FYI the portions are not large enough to share but are filling for one person. read more

In town for a few days and thought we'd try to find some good seafood. We succeeded! Fishing pier restaurants are typically subpar with lots of frozen food. Not this place. The food was EXCELLENT and obviously fresh and well prepared. I had the broiled seafood combo. Came with shrimp, scallops, crab cake, and grouper. All cooked perfectly and vey generous potions of each. The side of garlic mashed potatoes and veg were very tasty as well. My daughter had shrimp scampi over angel hair. She loved it and all the potatoes were so generous we took half home for lunch the next day. My son is not a huge seafood eater so he ordered the Rueben and it was very good. Our waiter was great- very polished and knew the menu and the area very well. There was a guy playing live music and he was very talented- that topped off a perfect evening.
