The food was good but took over an hour to get. When we got the food it was incomplete. Missing a salad and mushrooms didn't come out with the steak. Canceled the mushrooms as I didn't want to wait another hour for them. Had to ask the waitress to take off the cost of the mushrooms which she hadn't done before bringing the check. This is the 2nd time we went to the Wolf on a Sunday and it has not improved. There was one waitress and one buss person handling the entire restaurant. Great neighborhood establishment that has gone through many growing pains. they have always maintained a good reputation and once the pandemic hit, the previous management sold the restaurant-bar to another restauranteur in the neighboring vicinity. Under the new ownership I have seen tremendous growth and really nice things come out of the kitchen. Not all my dishes have come out perfect or on time due to some kinks but overall they deserve a visit and my support! Some of my favorites include their pretzels with cheese sauce, the steak specials (I've had a variety of cuts and they are pretty much all cooked to temperature. My favorite is the ribeye. The skirt steak isn't really cooked to temp but it is still good and tender) , their pastas are all pretty good and the added proteins are also good. All in all they are not a lace to get a fancy meal but one that will make you full and have proper seasoning. Through the week they have a happy hour special with some snacks and discounted drinks at the bar only. On Tuesdays they have taco Tuesday specials where I would recommend the steak tacos! The service was good. Walked in to order take out. I got a corned beef sandwich. It was $17. Came with fries. Got in my car and left. Finally went go eat took two bites. First bite, meat was tough and lacked seasoning. Second bite, found a long straight black hair. I have blonde locs that I keep tied up. I almost threw up. I tossed the food. I've been going to The Wicked Wolf for years and never experienced this before. I've never had a problem with the food, drinks or the service. I didn't say anything to the server, but come on. I found myself at The Wicked Wolf tonight for an impromptu meetup with one of my brothers. It had been a few years since I was last here; even though I remember being less than impressed with the food, I heard ownership changed and the menu was updated. That being said, I was looking forward to rediscovering WW. WW is located on E Tremont Ave in Throggs Neck, among a number of other restaurants in the neighborhood. I assume the business page was renamed "Wicked Wolf Bronx" since the original owner sold this spot to someone else and reopened a new restaurant in Westchester called Wicked Wolf North; this spot, though, is still simply called Wicked Wolf. The interior has a casual vibe without being divey, it doesn't look like much was changed since I was last here. Immediately upon entry there's a split wall with the bar area on the left and the dining are on the right. The interior had a mostly wood color scheme with some exposed brick and light tablecloths. The decor was kind of sparse, and overall I feel the entire interior aesthetic could be a little warmer. The menu is mostly American food, but more elevated than typical pub food; I also noticed the menu was more organized since my last visit here. They have a large selection of starters (small plates), as well as apps, starter and entree salads, sandwiches, pastas, and mains. I was feeling soup so I decided to get the French Onion. This wasn't the best French Onion I've had - the broth could have used more flavor, and I noticed it was lighter than other broths I've had. For my main I decided to get the pulled pork sandwich. This was better - they used a hearty roll for the sandwich which did a good job keeping the generous helping of pulled pork in place. I really liked the barbecue sauce they used on the pulled pork - it was tangy without being too sharp and really elevated the sandwich. Steak fries were served on the side which were nothing outstanding. Service was pretty good, kind of slow at times but they were busy so I'm going to chalk it up to that. We were not offered coffee or dessert, however, which I found interesting. Overall, Wicked Wolf is better than I remember, but still just fine. Based on what I had, some items seem to be better than others, but I'm interested in exploring their menu more to see if that is actually true. WW is a solid neighborhood spot, and if I found myself here again I wouldn't be disappointed. read more

I always have such a great experience at Wicked Wolf Bronx! From the moment we you in, the energy is amazing, the perfect mix of fun, lively, and welcoming. this was my first time in this establishment and it was a good experience just know that if you decide to sit in the dining area, The service is a quite slow and took a long time. the menu says burgers are top winners but i had the asian zing and it was definitely one of the worst burgers i've had in the area so i couldn't understand how that got an award to be quite honest other than that the waffle fries were pretty good and also the beef stroganoff was a hit i enjoyed that very much and it is top tier one of the best dishes i had in the area. the ambiance is good there is a bar but in the back there is intimate seating arrangement for a calm date night. A green salad with a piece of fish was what I wanted for Lunch and Wicked Wolf in Throggs Neck came through ok. Not only does Wolf has it going on inside- but even their sidewalk is decked out with Mums, Corn Husks, etc- to give it that Autumn oomph. The soft lighting and woods all around- give off a warm feel. All Wolf needed was a crackling fire in the fireplace to clinch the deal. Having been here a couple of years ago, if you're looking for a way to mingle (especially at night), Wolf is just your ticket. Huge bar on your left with the main dining room- off on the right. There were a few folks lunching at the bar- so I joined them too. High chairs are comfy and music playlist was super chill with Marvin Gaye, some Rufus & Chaka and a few others. Even with a low-key Friday, Peggy was a doll and manned that bar plus her customers as fast as greased lightning. Ever since the new owners took over the food is just not the same anymore. The quality has gone downhill. I keep giving this place chances and I'm always being disappointed. I did one of their specials that they have on Wednesdays and Thursday, which is a ribeye with vegetables and potato. My meal came out cold and there was so much fat on the steak. I sent it back and it came back lukewarm. I used to really love this place but I believe I'm throwing the towel in. I hope they work on the quality of their food, because this place at least used to be a gem. read more

I dislike writing negative reviews but I have to say what I have to say. We were there Saturday Jan. 21st, there was a private event in the back room, therefore we sat in the main room. We were promptly seated and proceeded to order our appetizers and drinks. The drinks (beer) came in the middle of our appetizers. We ordered: a cheeseburger with regular fries, The Wicked Wolf burger with their signature fries and the Asian burger. When our food came in, we had ordered refills to our drinks... ALL, ALL the burgers were all the same, nothing to differentiate one burger from the other. We were so disappointed, because why will order an Asian burger if it is going to taste just like any, any other burger. We ate our burgers, keeping an eye on the servers (we had three different ppl coming to our table for not apparent reason), finish our burgers, no water, no beer. Our plates were picked up, we asked the server not to bring us the beer anymore, since we had already finished our food. All of the sudden, the other server comes with the beer, after we had told them to cancel it. So, the beer was taken back to the bar. We waiting about 10 min for the check...I guess what? We were charged for the beer, okey not a big deal. We asked to speak to the manager so we can explained our experience and to also tell her to remove the need from our check. Could you believe that when she came to us, he first question was: did you drink the beer? In my mind I was like, what kind of fucking question is that one? Why will anyone asked to have something remove from their check if they had consumed the product... The so called manager, offered zero apology. She took the last two beers of the our check and left. Will I go back? Maybe, but I will seat at the bar only because the service at the bar is typically better and I like to support local businesses. But honestly, the lack of order and customer service will cost this neighborhood restaurant a lot if customers. read more

IT'S OKTOBERFEST again at the Wicked Wolf and I couldn't wait to get my German on! They have a full menu of German cuisine ready for you and your family! It was a beautiful Sunday afternoon and we ate outside, people watching and eating the best Jaeger schnitzel with potato pancakes, red cabbage and applesauce! The other dish was there great beef goulash over egg noodles! We started with beef vegetable soup and Tuscan tomato and mozzarella salad. Where should I start? Hmm, let's talk about my experience from beginning to end. There's free parking at a nearby lot. In this area, this is a super treat. Because there's usually only pay by meter available after about four or five trips around. Upon entry, our temperatures were taken and contact information logged. We were sat in the enclosed oak wood featured dining room. The tables are pretty much lset pre-COVID (Perfect for a private party experience if you ask me). I ordered all appetizers. The Irish whiskey wings, sliders, chicken pot stickers and nachos. OmG!!!! They were all delicious and very flavorful. The wings were fried to perfection with this burst of flavor that's hard to describe. But I will try my best: honey mustard dipped in whiskey.....ughhhh my mouth is watering just thinking about these wings! Please order if you like sweet & heat. The sliders were delicious! My son ate them all. LoL!!! They were three bites per burger with a grilled onion on top escorted by a dill pickle. The nachos!!!!! The Nachos!!!! If you love cheese, then order these! It is truly a damn treat. Yummers!!!! They have a kick....not sure if the spice comes from the chili. But it's gooooood!!! Now, the pot stickers we didn't enjoy so much. Because it was spicy as well. The wolf is a spot I come to often. The food is always on point, & reliable. The menu is extensive with tons of different options. Because we've come here so many times I've had the opportunity to try quite a few different things on the menu. Fried Calamari: 3/5 (Hit or miss, usually just alright) Wings: 5/5 (They give a huge portion, the BBQ, Mild, and buffalo sauces are all great) Caesar Salad: 5/5 (You might think it's hard to mess this up, but I've had some pretty sh*tty Caesar salads but from here they're always good) Coconut Shrimp: 4/5 (The shrimp are always fantastic but sometimes the sauce they're served with can be really watered down) New England Clam Chowder: 3/5 (Sometimes the soup of the day, not something I'd order often because it's really nothing too spectacular) Buffalo Chicken Wrap: 4/5 (Always a solid choice but sometimes when ordered with grilled chicken the meat is very dry, go with breaded) Fries: 4/5 (Standard steak fries, delicious) Wolf House Burger: 4/5 (If you're in the mood for a good burger this will take care of your craving) AND THE BEST FOR LAST ****Drumroll**** Buffalo Chicken Quesadilla: 10/5 (Kind of a hidden gem on the menu but this thing is my personal favorite and I come here solely to get it. The portions are big and if you want to share you will be charged. The restrooms are always dirty and aré extremely dim. Wicked wolf states here on Yelp that they value family gatherings and we can attest this is true. We gathered a large group for a post funeral and staff was so attentive and patient and kind. Food selection was huge, something for everyone. Difficult decision making! Portions also large, so share or take home leftovers! I can't lie; this spot is a good weeknight, hit-em-up drink and food specials location. They have a $6 dinner that's way better than you would think. It's usually quiet during the week but tonight was way busier due to the dart teams they had in attendance. When I'm in the area, I like to come here, with friends, for drinks and a decent time. Man do I miss this gem! I was jealous last night my fiancée visited our old hang out spot! I live in LI now so unfortunately haven't been there in 3 years. Back then we went there while we dated and eventually as BF and GF, we would go there and spend hours there by hours I mean about 6-7 hours or so! No exaggeration! Talking,drinking and eating! The bartenders here are amazing! Very friendly! Emma is the best! And I'm glad to see she's still there! Drinks are awesome! She would make for us these creative shots. Our waitress was very sweet, but the service was horrible. She never came to check on us and she took 15 minutes to finally come by. We asked for the bill right away and it took 10 minutes for her to bring it to us. It gets worse. She never came back to pick up the bill. We waited another 15 mins for her to come get the check and she never showed. At that point, we had to ask the other waitress to take our bill book to the cash register and take care of it. The restaurant was not busy at all and there were about 2 or 3 other waitresses on the floor. There really was no excuse for this. I was at this location on tremont ave, somehow I had to wait longer that expected to be seated, I walked to the bar, and asked the bartender, a white male, about 6 foot, with a beard, for a manager for the restaurant, by doing that, I pronounced the word "manager" like "maniger" this bartender, very disrespectfuly, try to be humiliating, by repeating the word manager in the same way I had pronounced, what a moron, very rude, unprofessional!! Their food is amazing. Every single bit of it. My favorite are Irish nachos, the penne alla vodka with chicken, and the pistachio crusted salmon. Their soups and salads are always to die for! The service is amazing. They communicate with you about the orders if they're taking a bit long how long it will be, etc.... I went there on my birthday last week and they sang me happy birthday. I was so pleased with their food and the ambiance is wonderful. Everything is always clean including their bathrooms, tables, floors. They decorate for the holidays and observe all holidays. Everything you'd expect in a quality burger meat , bun cheese , bacon all cooked to perfection . Came with onion rings that were also top notch . I had my parents 90th birthday party catered here. Eileen the manager was extremely helpful in making the occasion an extremely memorable one. The food is Top Notch with Many choices. The food is certainly reasonably priced and the catering for the party was Very reasonably priced. I find that appalling.. for a worker not to provide customer service to a my husband. Please note, we are residents of this community for over 30 years and have been going to your restaurant for many years, contributing to this community.. I recommend you fire this employee immediately and get workers like Destiny who always had a smile and provided excellent customer service.
