Big space. Nice German menu. Came in for lunch. A bit specific to me but I don't drink sodas and wanted a simple soda water. Despite the fact that I can see the soda gun behind the bar with a club soda button I was told that my only option was to order a can of club soda, which I'm sure was double the cost of a simple Coca-Cola or other soda. I do enjoy a solid good ol German bier and pub so we can hear for an early weekend dinner around 5pm. It was actually relatively empty so definitely didn't have to grab a reservation. The gentleman who was our waiter was friendly though one item from our order was forgotten until we checked in on it later down. The food was alright - we ordered sausages and pretzels which came with sauerkraut. While the pretzel was fine the sausages were just ok. I can confirm the beer was enjoyed and they probably helped me enjoy the overall time a little more. The place itself is cute with German inspired aesthetic. We were missing RH touuugh and had to visit last night around 10PM. Our friendly waitress provided quick and friendly service, the inside had a lively vibe. Ordered the Bratfisch Schnitzel (still the only German-style spot in I've seen it at in Manhattan) w/ 2 sides. The must haves are still the Gurkensalat (cucumber salad) + the kartoffelsalat (potato salad) instead of fries. BF gets the vegan wurst plate with red cabbage and sauerkraut. Love both of those too but the sauerkraut my family has made was better. This one needs more tanginess/sourness. Pretzel app with their pungent dijon mustard hits the spot. Dinner plates are a bit expensive imo ($28 for mine and $24 for his) for how small the sides are but with the Midtown location, it makes sense. The drinks menu is fabulous -- tons of German classic beers, fun cocktails and mocktails, German wines, and a mix of German and American hard liquors. They have a lot of tvs, including a huge screen in the back which we watched a football game on and essentially got a private viewing experience since it wasn't busy back there. Came here on a Saturday afternoon around 3-4pm with a group of friends post lunch . A perfect place to have a beer or two ( or more ) and spend of the afternoon where you do feel like you're celebrating Oktoberfest in Germany, well decorated and the staff were also dressed in lederhosen ( females ). I was recently in Germany (and have been to different parts of Germany many times) and can tell you that the food has nothing German. Service: They charge for soda refills, unlike other places. Place is getting a lot of hype due to Instagram but it isn't worth your time. The service is not great. I was there during lunch with an empty restaurant and still took a long time to get food. I have ordered an appetizer and a entree and both came at the same time. The side cheese of my pretzel was frozen cold. Food: Not great. Schnitzel was subpar. The atmosphere is really Bavarian, waitresses are helpful. In fact more like a Deutch sports bar though the game played on TVs inside is american football and ice hockey. I regret to say I was disappointed by the food, especially the Goulash. Beef is obviously melted from frozen ones and eats like paper box. I don't know how signature pork shanks are but Goulash is definitely out of my recommendation. Currywurst tastes good, the flavor of ketchup with curry powder is nice, worth a try. read more

We initially had to wait a bit between receiving our menus and ordering, but after that everything went smoothly. We started out with a pretzel to share, the pretzel was about 10in wide, good enough for the four of us. We ordered a mixed bratwurst plate, two schnitzels, and a vegan wurst (made of soy). The beer is always good, choose what you like, I am a dunkel lover through and through, thanks to the original Hofbrauhaus. All of our entrees were good. The sauerkraut and potato salad were big hits too. I was genuinely surprised by the serving sizes we received, we all left with stomachs very full. (My only gripe was I felt the gravy for the schnitzel needed more salt.) Finally decided to write a review after trying their food for the first time, which happens to be a alice of their Black Forest cake. It's a weird combo to do cake and beer but it works. Service can be a bit hit or miss. On some days they take your order quick and the beers come out fast but oddly I've been here on a slow Saturday afternoon and the service also seemed slow as well. The beer selection is strong and there big TVs to watch sports while you drink. The food is pretty good, I wouldn't say outstanding. My guest had the Kielbasa which was very good. I had the mixed sausage platter which was good but not amazing. I feel like it had only 3 types of sausages and not 4 as promised but perhaps I was unable to distinguish a few of them. A good and varied selection of beers to cater for all tastes. From light radlers, through pilsner and ales to dark lagers and whit beers. Drinks come in 500ml "pint" glasses or you can order in a 1 litre stein. Service was very prompt and friendly, without being too intrusive. We didn't try the food, but from what we saw other people eating it all looked very good and traditional to what you would find in German beerhall. The one downside to this place was it was almost too painfully loud to stay. Whilst we were there the place was only around half full and even then it was hard to have a conversation with people at the same table. Long overdue review of Reichenbach Hall. I wanted to host a birthday party for my boyfriend and was able to book two tables of 10 for the event. The venue was large, with lots of TVs for folks to watch whatever game was on. It was clean and not too loud by the time we arrived. From start to finish, even when it came down to planning, the venue was really accommodating. We initially got two long tables inside, but I asked them after arriving if we can be seated outside since it felt a little stuffy, and one of the employees, possibly a manager, got another worker and moved tables around outside so we'd be more comfortable and can get a section to ourselves. On top of that, the service during the duration of our stay was wonderful. I don't remember her name, but she was so attentive, and the other staff members cleared out our empty dishes quite often. The only thing I'm sad about is the fact that I didn't get to try any of the food! It looked so good, and I anticipate coming back here for group events in the future. read more
