Went for a birthday on the weekend with a group of maybe 10 people. The food is ok not that great tbh but the beers are good and they have a large variety. You can also get huge mugs and the restaurant is great for large groups.

Big beer spot w tons on tap, something for everyone. It's a big hall inside w wooden tables picnic style layout. Service is good friendly and fast. Food is so so but the brats and fries and desserts were bombs wings not the best but Germany ain't known for wings so stick to the potatoe salad the brats and brew and you'll be in heaven

This place is great. Sarita recommended the perfect dinner and beer accompaniment. Feel sated and happy as fuck :) TY Reichenbach Hall for a wonderful German Bierhaus experience... and I'm not even a tourist!

Great staff! Great service!! Best spot to wait for the Dominican Parade to leave. The Berlin street food is a highly recommended plate.

Currywurst w Fries $14.95 + $3 for the fries - okay, but too much tomato perhaps?

Great German beer menu, and large stein glasses. Friendly staff. Kitchen closes at 10pm I believe. Very close and convenient to several nearby hotels. Want to come back and try out more different foods and beer :-) Lots of German style hall ambiance which might be a little touristy but I liked it :-)

Good beer and service. Door being wide open while it's super windy out was kind of annoying though.

I do enjoy a solid good ol German bier and pub so we can hear for an early weekend dinner around 5pm. It was actually relatively empty so definitely didn't have to grab a reservation. The gentleman who was our waiter was friendly though one item from our order was forgotten until we checked in on it later down. The food was alright - we ordered sausages and pretzels which came with sauerkraut. While the pretzel was fine the sausages were just ok. I can confirm the beer was enjoyed and they probably helped me enjoy the overall time a little more. The place itself is cute with German inspired aesthetic. Always find it pretty cool to see places like these so can say it was one of the cooler parts of the experience. Overall, generally friendly service, ok food, good beer.

I love this place! Visit every time I stay at the hotel across the street. Consistent great vibes, great food, and great management :)

So friendly and beers were delicious! Played German rock our entire visit, which was fun, sat at the bar and chatted with several different people from various places, we are from New Mexico. Ordered German potato salad and split pea soup, couldn't get more authentic than that! Great vibe while it rained outside.

Had a great time! The food was delicious and maybe authentic, I don't know, I'm not German. The manager was very nice and servers were great. Would definitely come back!

Just stopped in for a beer or two, great bar service. Will definitely come back when in the area. I didn't try the food but it looked good.

Ask the Community - Reichenbach Hall

    Can under 21 enter?

Yes, but they obviously cannot order alcohol

Can we buy drinks at a bar and sit at the table? Friends will come and go, so it will be easier that each person can buy drinks by themselves but sit together to avoid splitting a check for a table in the end.

Yes, Reichenbach Hall has bar tables.

    Is outside dinning available?

Yes, there are several tables on the sidewalk, protected from both rain and car splashes by heavy, clear plastic sheeting. Decorated to look like a, "bier garten".

Catering? Delivery to 1 Penn Plaza?

I think they do catering, you should call to make the proper arrangements

I am planning a large birthday party, and we are celebrating here. Is it okay to bring my own cake? If yes, will I be charged a fee?

Hi Laura. Did you make a reservation with our events coordinator? Normally, our cutting fee is $3 per person. We recommend eating our black forest cake and strudel, however.

So I made my way to Torch & Crown Brewing Company to quench my thirst and check out more of the New York brewery scene. SPACE: I was really digging the vibes here. Torch & Crown Brewing Company is marked very subtle projecting sign. When you cross the threshold you are transported to an elevated space with a brick-clad back bar, warm moods, neon undertones, and pops of greenery. It was really inviting. SERVICE: I have to say the servers here really made my visit. They were super friendly and personable. I sat at the bar and they made sure my glass wasn't empty and made great conversation during my visit. SIPS: I love a crushable sour. So after browsing the menu, I knew that I had to give the Blueberry Pancake a whirl. Yum! It was bright, a little sweet, a little sour, and just what I needed. Next up I decided to sip on the Bat Flip, because with a name like "Bat Flip" I just have to know what it's all about. It was refreshing and bright! For those seeking a reprieve from the beer menu, Torch & Crown Brewing Company also offers up a full bar! Wiienerschnitzel was already expensive at $27 but we were given a menu that charged $36! The manager finally agreed to charge us their website prices. 2) Never have we had such terrible Wienerschnitzel. The menu does not state that its not the real thing- at these prices it should be made of veal. Instead, we found out from the waitress ,at the end, as we were paying that it was pork! It was as hard as rock- almost impossible to cut without heavy sawing action! Not well seasoned- just like cardboard. Then the potato salad was not an Austrian type but just a plain old American potato salad. The best part of the meal was the cold tap water Be forewarned, this is not a place to have an Austrian meal!! To put this al lin perspective, we have been to Vienna dozens of times and have had an incredible number of schnitzels in our lifetime. We are so sad that NY's really good Viennese restaurant, The Schilling, closed some time ago.. Now that was the genuine article, great food at an affordable price!

The Standard Biergarten sits tucked right under the trestles of the High Line, attached to The Standard hotel, the building that famously straddles the elevated park itself like a bent-open version of the UN building. It's designed to feel like a real German beer hall dropped into the middle of the Meatpacking District: long picnic tables, communal bench seating, steins of German beer on tap, the full Oktoberfest package running twelve months a year. Here's where it fell apart for a group our size: the food came out way too slow, and there just wasn't enough of it circulating for a party that large. By the end we were acting like vultures, or those seagulls from that one animated movie, every plate that hit the table got swarmed on sight. Drinks, on the other hand, were good and came out fast, so at least nobody was thirsty while they waited on food that wasn't coming. Genuine credit where it's due: the amount of open space and seating here is rare for this city, and for a group our size, that space was the whole reason the event worked logistically at all. Ok time overall. Great venue for a big private event on paper, just make sure whoever's running your food service can actually keep pace with the headcount, because ours couldn't.
