The salad was ok and the mozzarella sticks are the only reason this is not a 5 star review. The buffalo wings were very good, my little brother is very picky and loved them. Service was excellent, our server Brittany went above and beyond with her care and she alone deserves a 5 star review. I even lost one of my ear buds and she found it and kept it aside for me til the next day! She's amazing. Service on 8/1 in the evening was horrible. Food took forever to come out and waitress barely bothered to check on us. We wanted a NY strip and they were out. Then they were out of glasses so they had to bring us drinks in two smaller glasses. Food was decent, but not great. Took about 10 minutes just to get the check. Terrible service for subpar food. We opted to eat outside because the music inside was blaring SO loud. Once seated, we waited 10-15 min just to order drinks. We tried to order a steak dish on the menu only to be told they were out of steak. We ordered a pizza, some pasta dishes and some sweet potato fries for the table. The pizza came out but no mention of our other plates. 15 minutes later we asked about our other dishes and were told they come from different stations and that they should be out soon. After another 10 minutes we asked about our other dishes and only two of them arrived. Getting drink refills was difficult as our server only came to our table about 3 times. While the pizza was decent, the sauce on the spaghetti dish was watered down and bland; and the meatballs were mushy and bland as well. The sweet potato fries were soggy and not even hot. We saw our waitress when we ordered drinks and food, she checked on us once, maybe twice. And finally when we asked for the check. We asked for leftover boxes and got packaging was too small for the leftovers so we had to wait again to get a larger container. And even that was small. We saw the waitress take a takeout bowl of water to a dog sitting on the patio that was larger than the containers we received. And finally, they include 18% gratuity for dining on the patio. The ambiance was chill, they had great seating options and it seems like a good place to celebrate a special occasion. The food was authentic and the prices were affordable which made the experience better. For my main dish I ordered the pappardelle bolognese which is a ribbon style pasta that comes with meat tomato sauce, the pasta was fresh and had a great balance of flavor. The meat was chunky and the portions were generous, and I paired it with a prosecco. We also got a chicken parm pizza, the pizza had a lot of flavor and a thick crust. The staff was attentive and super friendly. They didn't rush us out, which I really appreciated. I was able to sit and enjoy the relaxing atmosphere. What was meant to be a peaceful and happy family dinner quickly turned into a disaster. The food (a few pastas and a pizza) took hours to come out. We went at around 6:00 PM and watched the sun set before we even got our food, even though the place was almost empty. The kids menu had limited options. We didn't get checked on, and it took thirty minutes to get our fountain drinks refilled. The food isn't worth it, and neither is the service. I wouldn't recommend this place if you're in a rush, or want genuinely good food and hospitality. This restaurant needs to improve their service and check on their customers more attention rather than leaving them to figure things out by themselves. A heads up if you take the risk of coming here: the restaurant charges you for sitting on the patio, and forces a 18% tip even if the service isn't good. Save yourselves. read more

The service was good, We decided to sit outside since it was nice out. Unfortinitly Happy Hour prices are only at the bar. FOOD: Meatballs & Ricotta: We decided to send the meatballs back they had a weird taste to them and were pretty cold in the middle. Garlic Parmigiano Wings: We asked for the wings to be extra crispy, fried twice. We didn't know they would be in a bed of sauce. They did come out last but they definitely weren't crispy enough. We barely tasted the wings. Arugula & Prosciutto Pizza: The pizza was the best thing arugula & prosciutto were fresh. Fries: We loved the fries DRINKS: We tried the Watermelon Spritz + Last Dance both were really good. We did end up sitting at the bar after closing our tab since a friend wanted to grab a salad. Hidden spot. Went in on a friday evening at the tail end of happy hour. Sat at the bar and waa immediately greeted. The server informed me that happy hour was ending soon. My order: spicy mango wings, mango public drink and the apple arugula salad. Wings came really quickly. Flavorful, sauce which was really good. Portion was large. Issue i had was the wings were not a crispy. They were very light bordering white under the sauce. Wings were cooked but could have been done more and also wasn't seasoned. Wrong was good but had it been seasoned, done crisper would have been so good. The drink was really good just as. Salad was with arugula. The apple wasn't crispy crunchy but soft crunchy. We all decided to play it safe and try different pies. The pizza pies come with about 5-6 pieces and the pie is 12" round. The margheritta was hands down everyone's favorite. The prosciutto and arugula was also pretty tasty. The pepperoni pie was great. The only two pizzas I didn't taste were the regular and the margerita with an add on of chicken. But apparently they were also good. App ordered was calamari, which was perfectly fried and lightly breaded. And some cheesy garlic bread which was good as well. Let's face it places haven't lasted the long haul in Ridge Hill and that is even true for the location that Public Pizza now calls home. This location has housed a few other restaurants previously. Nonetheless we were hungry and happy to to stumble upon another option besides what was previously mentioned. So Public Pizza came to our private rescue. Upon entering, similar blueprint as previous occupants. It wasn't busy so we were seated immediately. After perusing the menu we decided to share a salad and a pizza. Unable to decide between our top two choices our waitress offered us the options to do 1/2 & 1/2. A great suggestion, with this being our first visit we were unaware that was an option. The Cesar Salad with cherry tomatoes and a side of anchovies came out first. Fresh & light and the mountain of parmesan cheeses on top was appreciated. Our pizza was a small 1/2 chicken parmesan and 1/2 bbq chicken, a total of 6 slices (3 of each). The pizza was just decent, the chicken parmesan was actually bland but the bbq chicken had flavor thanks to the barbecue sauce. Overall, a good time was had... would be interested in trying other dishes, might even give the pizza another spin. Was here purely out of convenience before seeing a movie. No expectations. Looked appealing from the outside, despite a couple of cracked and broken flowerpots. We were a 5pm walk-in. We were sat down quickly. The staff are kids. The waiter was not very professional and doesn't know proper etiquette. Everything was "to be honest with you". Like, we asked the waiter if we can have the kids food brought out before ours because theirs was quick and they were hungry. He said "to be honest" he couldn't do it because he recently had an incident where the food was confused and mixed up. So I guess he didn't want to risk such an error. We have NEVER had anyone deny that for us. Waiters normally understand that kids come first and they always make that exception for us. I was shocked that he denied us. My fiancé used to be a waiter so he knows the importance of being a good server and providing good customer skills. Secondly, we asked for crayons. They ran out so we asked for a pencil or pen and he said "to be honest" he couldn't do it because he's had incidences where his pen gets stolen. He just seemed uninterested in doing anything to make us happy. He also didn't seem apologetic. It was an annoying experience. Sucks that the young kids nowadays have no respect or civility. The food was good except our pizza was burnt. It definitely was burnt tasting but still yummy. It was a grandma pizza. The kids had chicken fingers and fries which was super hot when received. The slices were not too big and we easily split a large pizza pie. The slices were thin and the crust was not too thick. The drinks were very strong which was appreciated. Around dinner time this place can get packed quickly. The only negative of the outdoor dining is the people walking by you constantly while you eat. Normally this wouldn't bother me as much but with everything going on who knows. I would love to come back here once things get back to normal to pick up a pie or two during a quick mall trip. I tried the food once and it was quite delightful. This review is for my second and third time where I wanted to return due to the food being tasty but the service decreased exponentially. Firstly I will say that the weather wasn't conducive to outdoor dining but I was willing to sit outdoors with my food to keep my grandmother comfortable. I asked if we can get the pizza and sit outside where it was under an umbrella and it was no longer raining. I asked a server and he expressed that he needed to get permission. Some young guy who was dressed in his "regular clothes" sitting on his phone not greeting people or showing an ounce of hospitality was the "management" for that day. He told the guy that we couldn't sit outside. This was the last time I was willing to settle for horrible service. Unfortunately a lack a leadership and the poor excuse for a manager who didn't even come speak for himself to us will not make this place successful. There are much better pizza places and I refuse to support a place that has no compassion for the community. The piece of property they are currently on has been turned over about 3/4 times already with unsuccessful restaurants and this one is on their way to be on that RIP list.
