    Great neighborhood establishment that has gone through many growing pains. they have always maintained a good reputation and once the pandemic hit, the previous management sold the restaurant-bar to another restauranteur in the neighboring vicinity. Under the new ownership I have seen tremendous growth and really nice things come out of the kitchen. Not all my dishes have come out perfect or on time due to some kinks but overall they deserve a visit and my support! Some of my favorites include their pretzels with cheese sauce, the steak specials (I've had a variety of cuts and they are pretty much all cooked to temperature. My favorite is the ribeye. The skirt steak isn't really cooked to temp but it is still good and tender) , their pastas are all pretty good and the added proteins are also good. All in all they are not a lace to get a fancy meal but one that will make you full and have proper seasoning. Through the week they have a happy hour special with some snacks and discounted drinks at the bar only. On Tuesdays they have taco Tuesday specials where I would recommend the steak tacos! On Wednesdays and Thursdays they have the prime rib special which is pretty tasty and good value.

    I found myself at The Wicked Wolf tonight for an impromptu meetup with one of my brothers. It had been a few years since I was last here; even though I remember being less than impressed with the food, I heard ownership changed and the menu was updated. That being said, I was looking forward to rediscovering WW. WW is located on E Tremont Ave in Throggs Neck, among a number of other restaurants in the neighborhood. I assume the business page was renamed "Wicked Wolf Bronx" since the original owner sold this spot to someone else and reopened a new restaurant in Westchester called Wicked Wolf North; this spot, though, is still simply called Wicked Wolf. The interior has a casual vibe without being divey, it doesn't look like much was changed since I was last here. Immediately upon entry there's a split wall with the bar area on the left and the dining are on the right. The interior had a mostly wood color scheme with some exposed brick and light tablecloths. The decor was kind of sparse, and overall I feel the entire interior aesthetic could be a little warmer. The menu is mostly American food, but more elevated than typical pub food; I also noticed the menu was more organized since my last visit here. They have a large selection of starters (small plates), as well as apps, starter and entree salads, sandwiches, pastas, and mains. I was feeling soup so I decided to get the French Onion. This wasn't the best French Onion I've had - the broth could have used more flavor, and I noticed it was lighter than other broths I've had. For my main I decided to get the pulled pork sandwich. This was better - they used a hearty roll for the sandwich which did a good job keeping the generous helping of pulled pork in place. I really liked the barbecue sauce they used on the pulled pork - it was tangy without being too sharp and really elevated the sandwich. Steak fries were served on the side which were nothing outstanding. Service was pretty good, kind of slow at times but they were busy so I'm going to chalk it up to that. We were not offered coffee or dessert, however, which I found interesting. Overall, Wicked Wolf is better than I remember, but still just fine. Based on what I had, some items seem to be better than others, but I'm interested in exploring their menu more to see if that is actually true. WW is a solid neighborhood spot, and if I found myself here again I wouldn't be disappointed.

    We had our rehearsal dinner here in 2016 because it was a neighborhood favorite. Everyone raved about the food. We now live in Queens, but we go back every year around our anniversary for our favorites! Best penne vodka, beef stroganoff, & chicken potstickers! This time I tried chicken marsala, and it was pretty yummy, too! Try not to fill up on the breadsticks and flats, they are addicting LOL

    A green salad with a piece of fish was what I wanted for Lunch and Wicked Wolf in Throggs Neck came through ok. Not only does Wolf has it going on inside- but even their sidewalk is decked out with Mums, Corn Husks, etc- to give it that Autumn oomph. The soft lighting and woods all around- give off a warm feel. All Wolf needed was a crackling fire in the fireplace to clinch the deal. Having been here a couple of years ago, if you're looking for a way to mingle (especially at night), Wolf is just your ticket. Huge bar on your left with the main dining room- off on the right. There were a few folks lunching at the bar- so I joined them too. High chairs are comfy and music playlist was super chill with Marvin Gaye, some Rufus & Chaka and a few others. Even with a low-key Friday, Peggy was a doll and manned that bar plus her customers as fast as greased lightning. My Zucchini Sticks were good and although substantial in size, the Roasted Salmon in my Salad was a bit overcooked. Wouldn't hurt coming back. Besides- Wicked Wolf seems like the right place in Throggs Neck for a catch-up with friends or family

    Where should I start? Hmm, let's talk about my experience from beginning to end. There's free parking at a nearby lot. In this area, this is a super treat. Because there's usually only pay by meter available after about four or five trips around. Upon entry, our temperatures were taken and contact information logged. We were sat in the enclosed oak wood featured dining room. The tables are pretty much lset pre-COVID (Perfect for a private party experience if you ask me). I ordered all appetizers. The Irish whiskey wings, sliders, chicken pot stickers and nachos. OmG!!!! They were all delicious and very flavorful. The wings were fried to perfection with this burst of flavor that's hard to describe. But I will try my best: honey mustard dipped in whiskey.....ughhhh my mouth is watering just thinking about these wings! Please order if you like sweet & heat. The sliders were delicious! My son ate them all. LoL!!! They were three bites per burger with a grilled onion on top escorted by a dill pickle. The nachos!!!!! The Nachos!!!! If you love cheese, then order these! It is truly a damn treat. Yummers!!!! They have a kick....not sure if the spice comes from the chili. But it's gooooood!!! Now, the pot stickers we didn't enjoy so much. Because it was spicy as well. The filling carried this intense amount of heat on the backend that just didn't mix with what was already on the palette. I will be back!!!

    IT'S OKTOBERFEST again at the Wicked Wolf and I couldn't wait to get my German on! They have a full menu of German cuisine ready for you and your family! It was a beautiful Sunday afternoon and we ate outside, people watching and eating the best Jaeger schnitzel with potato pancakes, red cabbage and applesauce! The other dish was there great beef goulash over egg noodles! We started with beef vegetable soup and Tuscan tomato and mozzarella salad. Now they don't have the pumpkin beer yet, but I was very happy with a blue moon with a honey and cinnamon rim. Also the Sauerbraten will be added by next week, so I will have to return.

    The wolf is a spot I come to often. The food is always on point, & reliable. The menu is extensive with tons of different options. Because we've come here so many times I've had the opportunity to try quite a few different things on the menu. Fried Calamari: 3/5 (Hit or miss, usually just alright) Wings: 5/5 (They give a huge portion, the BBQ, Mild, and buffalo sauces are all great) Caesar Salad: 5/5 (You might think it's hard to mess this up, but I've had some pretty sh*tty Caesar salads but from here they're always good) Coconut Shrimp: 4/5 (The shrimp are always fantastic but sometimes the sauce they're served with can be really watered down) New England Clam Chowder: 3/5 (Sometimes the soup of the day, not something I'd order often because it's really nothing too spectacular) Buffalo Chicken Wrap: 4/5 (Always a solid choice but sometimes when ordered with grilled chicken the meat is very dry, go with breaded) Fries: 4/5 (Standard steak fries, delicious) Wolf House Burger: 4/5 (If you're in the mood for a good burger this will take care of your craving) AND THE BEST FOR LAST ****Drumroll**** Buffalo Chicken Quesadilla: 10/5 (Kind of a hidden gem on the menu but this thing is my personal favorite and I come here solely to get it. Always great, it's a big portion & always delicious-Highly recommend if you're a buffalo fan) Overall the wicked wolf is a great option for any craving and because of the extensive menu it's good for a lot of different occasions. You're served a little bread basket when you sit and it's a good vibe and ambience in the restaurant and at the bar. The only reason this isn't a 5 star review is because usually the service is pretty slow & the food takes a while to come out. BUT when it does it makes up for the wait.

    I would recommend this place. I had the shepherds pie and was very good. Please is nice with a separate Bar area. Very nice and clean.

They also have a pretty extensive wine selection, if that's your thing. We were there for a brunch. When we arrived, before 1pm, it wasn't busy at all. By the time we left, it was pretty full. The bar had seats though. Anyhoo, I tried their "energizer" which were eggs any style (poached for me), creamed spinach and mashed potatoes. Never had a breakfast like this one! It was almost like a deconstructed eggs Florentine. YUM. My husband had the Heidelberger which was a German style hamburger with frizzled onions and mashed potatoes. He let me try some, it was pretty fantastic so I may need to try it sometime myself. Also do not miss their ginormous Bavarian pretzel. It was quite possibly the best I've had (and I've had many!). The service was outstanding, and the vibe was ... I dunno a step above what you saw in Fast Times where they go to the German restaurant. My only regret is that I didn't get the apfelstrudel. The duck made my wife throw up two hours after ingesting it. My (albeit) medium-well schnitzel ordered came extra well-done, crispy both on the inside and out. The restaurant was dark and freezing. Workmen were bringing in wood materials from the back and the door was left open for the duration of the meal to accommodate the establishment and its workmen over the dining comfort of its patrons. We asked about the unendurable arctic environment and the genial young man seating us, serving us and also tripling as barman, returned to say there was nothing he could do. Well, there is something we will do. Never ever come back.

We passed the security area and then found the cafe immediately on the ground floor. The host greeted us kindly and showed us to our table. This cafe is just stunning-- the wooden furniture and walls, large windows facing the park, the dim lightning, all create a cozy but refined atmosphere. It gives off pristine Central European vibes. We were also lucky and they had a live pianist while we were eating which really elevated the ambiance further. Our waitress was very pleasant and available to help us with all our needs. She took our orders and answered all our questions. We ordered some mulled wines which were perfect for the cold weather, they were spiced and not sweetened at all which I liked. While we waited for our food, we also got some complimentary bread and butter. The bread had some seeds and a nice flavor to it. The butter was creamy and a little salty. The food came out very quickly! We tried: - Smoked trout crepes: perfect to split! This comes with 3 small crepes which were filled with generous smoked trout and came with a side of creme fraiche. The trout was smoky without being fishy and the cold crepes were the perfect light but bright starter. There were some tangy elements from the pickled cucumbers it came with and fresh cherry tomatoes. Very refreshing. The creme fraiche was very good and I used the leftover on the complimentary bread which was also amazing! - Chicken paprikas: my mom ordered this and really enjoyed it. The chicken was so tender it fell off the bone. It came in this very rich and thick tomato and paprika sauce. The dish came with a side of creamed spatzle which are egg noodles and had a creaminess that balanced out the rich spiced sauce. Very comforting. - Beef goulash: my fiancé got the goulash which similarly had super tender beef in a rich sauce and paired with spatzle for a comforting balance. This sauce also had hints of paprika but was far more subtle than that of the chicken paprikas. Very nice dish, really filling. If you like goulash, definitely order this! - Wiener schnitzel: having had schnitzel in Vienna, I had cautious hope about this. Overall, I was pleasantly surprised. The breading was slightly thicker here and less airy in general and the meat a bit less tender but I liked how it was not so greasy and I did like that the breading was overall very thin. The lingonberry sauce was quite sweet and would have preferred it on the side. The potato salad though was really amazing and reminded me of that we had in Vienna. It was the perfect side to have with the schnitzel with its pickled, tangy, and herbal elements. - Warm cheese strudel: this dessert was perfect! It came warm and had a moist consistency, almost like a hybrid between a tres leches and a French toast. The cheese was a bit sweet but had little hints of savoriness which really helped balance the dish. - Sachertorte: nice chocolate and apricot cake. This was a lot breadier and less moist than the ones we had in Vienna, however, still good! I thought the chocolate, apricot, and rum balance was perfect. - Hot chocolate: best hot chocolate I have had in a while! Creamy but not too thick, perfectly sweet without being too overwhelming, and had the right amount of chocolate. The whipped cream was light and added a really aesthetic and refreshing touch. They offer a version with rum as well but the original was my favorite. Overall, I had an amazing dinner here! The service was good, the food was amazing and perfectly comforting for the cold weather, and the ambiance was just impeccable. I think this is the perfect spot to bring parents to impress them and have a nice meal. I definitely want to try their brunch/ lunch one day although know those are walk in tables. Would recommend for dinner and or coffee + dessert!

The whole plate was very monochromatic, mostly shades of brown, which we couldn't help but laugh about a little. We also had the smoked trout crêpes, which were just as tasty and much more visually appealing, but noticeably smaller in portion. That contrast felt a bit inconsistent and left me still a little hungry by the end. Overall, it was a mix of great flavors and a beautiful setting, but with some unevenness in presentation and portion sizes that made the experience feel slightly off.

The hot toddy I got was pretty good and I liked the flavor. The ski shot which is 4 shots of $50 was overpriced in my opinion. Unfortunately the actual experience was soured by the fact that apparently it's $50 pp min if you reserve a table and then in the end they tried to charge us for people who didn't show up even though we did fill the table. I understand the policy and the manager was super nice to us and tried to rectify the situation but our waitress ended up being super rude in the end. They gave us a small discount but we ended up having to buy a lot of tickets to use in the future. Wasn't too happy about how things ended so would probably recommend that you go in the evening to avoid crowds if that's not your vibe and also do not book a table.

In July, I booked my appointment and the earliest they had was August 31 but i checked back every single day and was able to change it to August 15th and then again I kept checking, and finally I saw an opening for August 3. For people who found that appointments are 2 months out, I would recommend checking the reservations portal every day for earlier dates. Second, the documents you need for a resident visa are not really outlined on the website but you will need the following if your situation is for a job offer: -2 copies of resident visa applications filled out (not sure where you download this form since my company gave it to me) -2 biometric passport pictures 3.5 cm x 4.5 cm with white background -2 copies of your passport only of the data page, and passport must be valid for at least 6 months and have at least 3 empty pages -2 signed form §54 residence law (i got this form at the embassy) -2 copies of medical health insurance that covers Germany (i got health insurance through my new company but there are many rules surrounding health insurance that you should research) -original college diploma (i had photo copies but then eventually had to bring in my original college diploma) -2 copies of enrollment and degree verification from my university -2 copies of ANABIN degree verification -2 copies of ANABIN university verification -2 copies of signed job offer from my company and me -2 copies of CV I submitted my application on August 3rd and was approved in 4 business days. I went back to the embassy with my passport and original diploma, then they returned my passport to me in 30 minutes with the temporary visa inside of it.
