This is a very unique shoe store in that it caters to people with wide feet. My feet have gotten wider with age and suddenly I found myself having to use the store like this to accommodate my comfort. They have been in the business of serving people with wide feet for nearly 40 years. I've seen them on the road as I've driven from Seattle to the Edmonds Ferry but I never paid attention to them until I needed them. I went in on a day when I had to have a pair of shoes that we're going to be as comfortable as possible for the evening, as I had a function that I was responsible for and the shoes I had in my suitcase we're not going to be good enough for those hours. I went in and was greeted very cheerfully by the employees. I was fortunate enough to have the owner's son come out and work on helping me find the appropriate shoes. The owner and I went through a number of shoes after sizing my feet and I settled on one pair. The shoes are quite expensive but they seem to be pretty quality with a decent enough range to get what you're looking for. For me unfortunately I had socks on the day that I bought the shoes and I normally do not wear socks with my shoes. So while they fit perfectly when I bought them they're a bit too big. However, I decided to keep them cuz overall they're comfortable enough but they are definitely size just slightly too big. About the store's layout and inventory: It's a very small store with not a lot of room in it or a lot of inventory. Apparently, they have a really store much bigger in size and with far more choices. It is down in South King County. I'll have to visit someday. This store is in a very busy section right off a very congested roadway. So it's a little challenging to get in and out of their very small parking lot in the front of the building. I think they have parking in the back but I didn't try to drive around and figure that out. All that said though if you have bigger feet or wider feet that need special attention, this is the place to look. There is no other store like this. I really donappreciate how, over the last 40 years, they knew that there are so many people that need better foot care. They serve customers well,in the form of selling well fitting shoes for wide feet. They figured it out back then, and continue to deliver. read more

Always pass by this shoe store, finally decided to stop and check it out. I was greeted upon walking in by their friendly staff and happened to get lucky on my visit. The shop owner Dominic happened to be there ( Thursdays only ) and let me tell you he is a wide foot god!! Very knowledgeable and explained how width is not only measured by how wide your foot is, it's also measured by the height of your instep. He has two stores this one in Edmonds & one in Renton, if you have wide feet they are a must shop! *the staff is pretty awesome Store is very clean, parking in front and in back of the store as well. read more

Wide selection (no pun) from dress to casual to athletic shoes. I'm right on the border between regular sizing and wide shoes. They were very honest about their stock, measured both feet (how long has it been since than happened!) and show me the shoes that would fit me. They brought out shoes identified for serious walking and "casual streetwear". I left with a pair of shoes that fit my feet and my needs. read more

I kept driving past this place and finally had time to go in today. It's late February and snowing, but every store in the area is already pretty much out of winter shoes and getting in summer styles. My favorite boots just bit the dust and it's been hellish trying to find replacements this time of year. Well, this place has so much inventory that they still had quite a few boots left! The best part though was the staff. Mary and Rosie were friendly, helpful, not at all pushy, and they clearly knew the brands and what were the quirks and benefits of each. I had just been to Sole Comforts right before and the contrast in service was eye-opening. In no time, they were cheerfully piling boxes around me and helping me choose. I left with two pairs. It's so great to actually try on shoes right away, and not have to go through months of waiting for mail order, then returning, trying a different size, etc. This is a superb store for the SAS shoes line, one which caters to people who have to have shoes which actually support feet and fit properly. My parents and I visited Wide Shoes today for the first time and it was a wonderful experience. Both my parents have especially wide/swollen feet due to a few health issues and consequently it is difficult to find comfortable shoes that also fit correctly for them. I've been buying shoes here for ten years. They've always given me good ideas on athletic shoes for my 4-E wide feet. 2 weeks ago I bought some New Balance with a rocker sole, which I didn't like. I only wore them inside, so it was easy to exchange them. The staff even suggested a Brooks shoe that was much more satisfactory and cost $15 less. They have always been easy to deal with. read more

I was looking for shoes for my dress uniform. I had tried The Rack and Nordy's because I wanted good leather shoes, that would last. 3 friends had recommended this place. I was NOT disappointed. First of all let me say this...I forgot what it was like to go to a real shoe store. This guy knew his stuff and was passionate about what he did. His assistant was nice too, and a pleasure to talk with. So I've been buying 12-13 regular to wide. Turns out...I'm an 11WW! I noticed that it said pricey $$$$. This is NOT Payless. If you want great fitting shoes, and real leather, it's going to be over $100. I not only left with a heavenly pair of sneakers, I brought my husband back and got him a pair too. We moved away from Western Washington, so there was no way I could try the shoes on in advance. I work for a brace company and had this store on a recommendation list for patients needing wide shoes. A patient came back and reported that she had a very bad experience where the staff was unfriendly and she was charged 2 times to have a strap lengthened. I have removed this business from our recommendation list. If I hear some positive feedback in the future I will consider putting it on the list. read more

I went looking for something pretty and comfortable to wear with my summer skirts and found it. I wear a 6 1/2 WW shoe. They have a wide selection of many kinds of shoes from sport, walking, comfort and dress shoes to straight up granny shoes. Here comfort does not mean any lack of fashion or style. Everyone in my family has wide feet and this is a great place to find shoes! Large selection for women and men. Everything in extra wide which is impossible to find anywhere but maybe online and then you don't know what your really buying and leads to returns and disappointment. They've always got a select amout of shoes on sale too and only carry high quality name brand shoes from all over the map. Selection stinks, if you have unusual feet! Their website says "We know difficult feet! " but apparently that doesn't mean they carry those shoe sizes. I have a women's size 13 wide, they only carry up to a size 12 (so does everyone else) they didn't even offer me women's shoes, they walked right over to the men's selection about pulled out some god awful, ugly, masculine shoes. My point to the sales person was, if I'm going to pay 200 - 500 for woman's shoes, I expect to have feminine shoes. I can buy men's shoes anywhere. Very disappointed. read more

The ladies that helped me at first were very nice. But I should have looked closer at the boot. Oil resistant but not slip resistant. I took them back and the little asian man behind counter started yelling and telling me they were slip resistant. Look bud I work in the oil industry I know these arnt slip resistant. Then he told me I would have to come back to return since it was only 1130am not my problem and maybe if u wernt rude I would have. My son has incredibly wide feet. I have been looking for a shoe to fit him for the ten years that he has been alive. He has complained of sore feet and sore legs since he could talk. We searched for a wide shoe store hoping to find something for him. Thank you Shoreline Wide Shoes! At first when you drive up, you think ugg, just another run down shoe store. But inside is where all the magic is!! This place is amazing!! We found the perfect shoes for my son, and even though he had to wear a women's size, they had shoes that no one would ever know were women's. He wore them to school and got so many comments on how awesome they were. Better than that, he was happy, his feet quit hurting, and he could actually run without pain for the first time in his life!! If that isn't a miracle, I don't know what is. I've gone to this store 3 times over a 7 year period. The staff has changed over the years. At my first visit, I bought a work shoe and a sneaker. However, I read on Amazon that the size of the Beast shoe had changed, so I wanted to make sure it would fit. I tried on the New Balance and the Beast and stuck with the Beast. I wanted to buy another pair, but the next delivery was Wed, so I left with one pair. The young girl who helped me was nice and gave me a lot of attention. As I left the store, a couple came in. So I guess it helps if you come in during the day when they're not busy. If you're looking for a specific brand, call them as it is a small store and they may not have the brand or the size you want. Cost was about 150, but as I walk a lot, I need a pair of comfortable shoes. read more

My husband has struggled with poor fitting shoes his entire adult life. He walks and hikes for fitness, so proper fitting shoes are essential. I finally convinced him to try Wide Shoes Only in Edmonds last year. He walked in a total skeptic and walked out with a huge grin on his face, holding his new pair of New Balance walking shoes. We went back one week later to buy him Dunham hiking boots. Now this is his favorite store! We just bought him two new pairs of shoes during their August sale this year. They keep a record of previously purchased shoes, so we don't have to spend much time getting to the right size. We were in and out in about 15 minutes tops. They have good sales twice a year, but unless you shop early the selection in sale shoes can be spotty. Very thankful that this store exists.
