Miso Hummus and Pickled Vegetable Salad (add chicken) #1
    Rob S.

**DISCLOSURE STATEMENT** I find aspects of writing this review difficult due to being an Amherst College alum and, therefore, eschewing, forever, all things "Williamstown." You have been informed. :) I have passed The Store at Five Corners to attend my sons' sporting events for years. Today I broke down and tried it for lunch en route to a track meet. I cannot tell you how happy I am to have visited, and how disappointed I am to have wasted a decade not frequenting this place. It's a Normal Rockwell-esq, quaint and rustic colonial country store. The staff was simply outstanding. Local, authentic, attentive, personable yet professional and added to my experience (I wish I had gotten their names). They have delicious looking treats and baked goods, an array of interesting dry goods and unique drinks in a cold case - but the main focus is their breakfast and lunch sandwich, salad, and coffee menu. The list of offerings does not go on for days. It's efficient, and clearly allows them to be good at 12 things - rather than meh at 30. I ordered possibly the greatest plate of food I've ever had in Berkshire County with the white miso hummus and pickled vegetable salad. WOW. It was tasty, well proportioned and conceived, and balanced well beyond my expectations. I did add chicken at the suggestion of the staff - and even the chicken was additive. Perfectly cooked (I suspect wonderfully sous vide), tender, all natural, and tasty. I enjoyed it so much that as soon as my first plate was cleared (yes, you heard that correctly), I ordered a second!!! And, for the record, it was not due to a skimpy portion. It was due to how much I enjoyed my lunch. It's menued at $15 before chicken addition - call it $21 all in with protein and tax. So so worth it. I literally cannot wait to find an excuse to come back to *GULP* Williamstown. I believe our spring sports schedule has us back relatively soon. The staff made me promise to try the falafel next time. I certainly will (very likely with another one of these as well). Fantastic.

Fabulous deli/store/counter serving restaurant on Route 7, about 30 minutes north of Tanglewood. I'm all about the charm, and this old house with wide plank floors, yummy bakery case display, wine selection, local cheeses and DELICIOUS sandwiches checked all the boxes. Plus it smells like bacon here.

Order at the counter and grab a seat at this cozy corner country store. Plenty of items to choose from here. They also have grab & go!

They have reopened! And the food is great. You are welcomed by amazing baked goods and the smell of fresh brewed coffee. On the table is fresh produce for sale. Your heart sings and you almost forget that you came in for a sandwich. Silly you. I actually ended up with the chopped salad. Delicious. Lots of fresh veggies with local flavors that shout at you. The store is at the intersection of routes 2 and 7. Well worth the stop. Welcome back Store at Five Corners.

This is a solid breakfast in a very scenic location.the baked goods were delicious, and the ingredients seemed local and fresh in the breakfast plates/sandwiches. Inside there's a sense of history, as if this is the latest incarnation for a fairly established general store. All in all this is a reasonably priced location to wander in for a late breakfast.

Friendly service, delicious salad and yummy marinated tofu sandwich on gluten-free bread (for those who want it). Outdoor dining with a beautiful view of hills & farm. We'll be back!

There are so many things I could say about this business, but I think I'd run out of space! DO NOT HESITATE to visit if you love delicious, fresh pastries (both savory and sweet!) and one of THE BEST freshly made breakfast sandwiches you'll ever eat in your life, and unbelievably incredible coffee! What a cool store too! They have lots of things to check out, from different drinks to snacks/food items, and other locally made/designed items. Corey is the Captain of this amazingly run ship. What a nice guy! And I'm only saying this because I believe everyone needs to taste something so incredible in their lives they literally dream about it. You HAVE TO try their Toffee Butter cookies (This is what I call them. Hopefully I'm saying it correctly). They are pretty sweet, but they're cookies!! Treat yourself. You won't be disappointed. Of you have the chance, stop buy, grab a bite to eat, and sit down and take in your surroundings. You won't be sorry that you did. You will probably be upset that you hadn't known about this gem and their lovely staff sooner! Enjoy and you're welcome!

A gem in Williamstown. Great ambience, food, music, staff, and light from the big windows! It has a modern country store vibe. I enjoy the setting for work, reading, or just having a quick meal away from the heart of Williamstown. Its distance from town is both the worst and best thing about the store/cafe. Five stars for five corners.

Grilled cheese with tomato on sourdough. Delicious pickled veggies come as a side.

Doing a second review. This grilled cheese with tomato on sourdough was killer! And it's just so pretty inside this old country store. AND the food comes quickly. Definitely check it out for breakfast or lunch!

They offer a variety of baked goods (in the glass counter), build your own or signature breakfast & lunch sandwiches, daily soups & chowders, salads, chips, coffee, tea, and cooler drinks. They use Boar's Head meats and cheeses and they offer daily specials and catering. While I was at Norad Mill, I stopped in at The Norad Café for a light breakfast. The place was quite busy being a Saturday morning and plenty of activity at the dance studio. I ordered an Egg In A Hole BLT and a Red Velvet Donut, which came out $8 and change. The sandwich was all set in about 10 minutes after ordering. The sandwich was pretty unique (cut in half) which literally had a grilled round egg embedded in a cut hole on top of the sandwich bread (toasted rye bread) with plenty of greasy bacon strips, romaine lettuce, tomatoes, Swiss cheese (my choice), and lots of mayo. This sandwich was a bit messy to eat, but it was very darn good. The red velvet glazed donut was a good sweet treat to go along with my breakfast sandwich and my black coffee (I went to Panera earlier). I would definitely return to this little café for lunch next time I'm back in the mill.

But the food direction is also odd, with an order-with-numbers system where you have to wait for it if you're going outside to eat (which requires schlepping your food up some massive stairs and around two turns just to get to the outside area) but for which they'll deliver if you're in the dismal downstairs. It's a huge missed opportunity; the largely empty (perhaps to keep it aesthetically pleasing) spot for the bookstore/gift shop, obviously positioned on the first floor to get more traffic, is adjacent to the outside seating area and would have been a far better choice for the café. The counter service was a strange mix of hovering and inattentive. As for the food, it's a theoretically nice set of high-end salads with no hot options (the hot stuff we ordered was just tepid), but is thrown together, given ingredients and pricing. The salmon-spinach salad, for example, was just baby spinach with sort of indifferent slices of salmon (not chopped for better coverage for flavor) tucked at random inside; the caesar salad was about as plain as you could imagine, and the special "Buddha Bowl", which a tasty original, was a pretty small portion for double digit pricing. It's adequate but it's not the kind of café to make you say "oh, let's meet for lunch at the Clark!", and without good inside seating that takes advantage of the beautiful view, adjacent to that view, it's just a quick refueling stop.

The first time I was there I had the avocado toast, which was great. My friend had their breakfast burrito which he thought was soggy and fell apart but hey it happens. Today once again the crunchy French toast was amazing. We got it for the table to share and everybody couldn't get enough. The service was just really weird. It was like she really didn't want us to be there. And she didn't want to be there. She wasn't really rude, but she was pretty indifferent and took a long time to come back to the table. A second round of drinks was obviously off putting to her. Then I needed a change for a 20 so I could just leave cash for the check and hadn't seen her for a while so I asked another server who just walked by and said I'm not your server without even making eye contact with me. When I got the change, she was a little bit rude with me about it. It was 1 o'clock, they were past the brunch rush. It was just an odd experience with the server.
