A simple side salad with an amazing house made dressing becomes a treat. The shrimp tacos are seasoned like no other and burst with flavor. The bibimbop--of which I'm no expert--is pleasing & surprisingly filling--just right for pre-theater dinner (Barrington Stage a block away). The mixed drinks (per my companions) are both original & delicious. The last night we were there the owner/bartender/chef was by herself yet service was friendly, personal and efficient. My husband and I visited Methuselah Bar while we were on a road trip in the area. We sat at the bar and had such a fun time - we stayed much longer than expected. The bartender who helped us lovely to chat with and gave us advice for places to go in the area. Not to mention the drinks were delicious! We ordered the pigs in a blanket and a charcuterie plate. My favorite place for Saturday cocktails, good food, great music. Amazing staff, David & Lauren do a excellent job as the mixologist / servers. It's great to sit by the bar n watch them in action making yr drinks. Yuki, the chef, pumps out great quality food. The day I visited, there was live music and a bridal party. What a lovely neighborhood bar! We stopped in here after a long day of traveling to reach the Berkshires, and were greeted with live music & a relaxing ambience. The owner/bartender was incredibly kind, attentive, and she made us feel right at home. We ordered a couple cocktails, which were both excellent. I would highly recommend the Naked & Famous! Came in on a blustery Monday night in March, and instantly felt the warmth of bartender and locals friendly demeanor. It was $5 pizza night! I got the Amanda's Favorite, and it was FANTASTIC. Also, I polished off their reserves of Berkshire Bourbon (OMG THIS STUFF IS GOOD, I smuggle it back to LA every time I visit here) and moved on to 1792, per the bartenders suggestion "because it plays well with others", LoL. Even with having to tell a banned person a few times to leave, she was a lovely person to chat with (not Yuki, it was a younger blonde person). Both, on the rocks, were $10 each! There was a piano man with a penchant for earlier Billy Joel performing, and he was good! I was the guy journaling for two hours, and snapping pics in the gallery in back. If you didn't know, the Methuselah is a very old tree, several THOUSAND years old, and still alive. I camped at Grey Meadows near Lone Pine last year and hiked out to it. I chose to check this place out just due to the name, Methuselah, but I'll definitely be back!! read more

We have been in twice for drinks and had a great experience each time. Love the pinky ring drink. Our last visit they had live music. Only 2 other patrons at the bar when we arrived. Great vibe. Good music in the background but did not interfere with conversation. Bartender/waiter was the best. Drinks were fabulous. Introduced my mother to a "Phoney Negroni" , I had a It's on Shaun. Perfect cocktail. We had a generous dish of olives to nibble on while we looked over the menu. Shared a salad that was fresh and delicious, nice additions of pear, blueberries, golden raisins and feta. Tacos to follow. Chicken and pork was succulent and flavorful. Excellent, but what I really liked, what I thought about for weeks was the dressing used on the small side salad that came with the BLT. We love our experiences at Methuselahs. Josh the bartender always makes us feel welcome and goes above and beyond to make sure we have a great experience. Josh knows our order and is very attentive, refilling our water and checking in to see if we need anything. Yuki always has a smile on her face and tells us about the specials. Went there with friends for the first time on a Saturday night. It was pretty slow but still took a while for our food. My friends had jalapeño cocktail and loved it. I had the Berkshire something which was flavorless. Food were mediocre, especially compared to what I had at another bar earlier. We had pigs in blanket, mushroom turnover and chicken pizza. Cocktails here are yummy. We had a few. The menu isn't very large and the food is quite expensive. Two tacos by themselves were pricy. The portobello tacos were amazing! Underrated if you ask me. Menu says vegan but they had an aioli drizzle on it. This can be confusing for people who want to eat vegan and assume whatever's listed is the 'Veganized' version of it. This confusion can be upsetting, I would definitely clear it up. The shrimp tacos were okay. They were too cold. I do not like lukewarm shrimp. I want it either hot and sizzling or cocktail. The walnuts were delicious. If I come back on payday again sure I will get more mushroom tacos, but I don't think they're too hard to make at home for a fraction of the cost. The facility itself is beautiful and has artwork everywhere including photography and each table has a candle. You're definitely paying for the ambiance too. For a town with not much to offer, Methusula provides a swanky watering hole and a chic dinner spot for those looking to ball without a budget. read more

Loved this place. I can't give 5 stars because the service was slow. When we arrived at 5:15 on a Saturday night, the place was almost empty, but it filled up. Maybe the kitchen staff was overwhelmed. We got our meals with minutes to spare for a 7:00 show at Colonial Theater down the street. The menu was an incoherent jumble of offerings. They don't seem to have any idea of how to create a menu with a theme; Korean, pizza, charcuterie, pigs in a blanket, bbq and pulled pork tacos. The sandwich choices have nothing tying them together; bbq chicken, el cubano, and kimchi reuben. My "favorite" part was their website advertised, and still does, "THIRSTY TACO THURSDAYS!!!" We tried to order it and the server said she'd do it this one time as an exception but it was Taco Tuesday actually. I showed her the website and she said, "Yeah, that's wrong we just haven't changed it." I ordered the shrimp tacos and said I would pay full price since she was so condescending about my asking for the special price. The tacos were described as, "New Orleans Style Shrimp". Let me just say anyone who made shrimp that dry, and god only knows what or how that shrimp was cooked but I wouldn't bring it home to feed the wildlife in my backyard. Last but not least, the about section on the website sounds like it was written after a few drinks. Who really cares about your Zumba exercise class or your friends made there. If she's so thankful for the community around her, as she states, then why did she only thank people who would fall into a category of upper class/ upper middle class white people. Maybe she might take a drive around and see who really makes up this community. Her about page rambles and is bizarre to say the least. I would never recommend anyone go there. We were in Lenox Mon-Wed of last week and not too many places were open on Mon, let alone during evening hours, with live music and amazing cocktails, and did I mention affordable? Meth hit the spot!!! It was 5 of us and we sat the at the large table in the back. There was a special on pizza with regular personal pie at $5. We found this place using the Yelp app and found it to be very good. We dined July 2022 and the menu was limited. They didn't have Asian dumplings or chicken dishes. We did have shrimp and pork tacos and both dishes were very flavorful. The pigs in the blanket was great. Hats off to the cheif who created and prepared this dish. The restaurant and bar was lively and we will definitely return when back in Pittsfield. A small note, free street parking after 4:00 pm. read more

Wow! This place is awesome. We were just looking for a place to grab a couple of drinks before a Suns baseball game and it was the only place on that end of downtown that seemed open. After seeing the unique and extensive drink list, the beers on tap, and then trying the Korean dumplings as an appetizer, we opted to skip the first game of the double header and stayed for dinner instead!
