It tested positive for yeast, as well as a highly contagious, often fatal illness called Psittacine beak and feather disease. It is caught by environmental means, especially when the level of critical hygiene is absent. The vet I used, For Pet's Sake, has received many incidences like this from customers' pets, and it pending plans to take possible legal action if they have enough evidence with state authorities against this pet shop. I want to echo another post that said buyer beware! I am told that Brenda, the owner, is rude and emotionless when it comes to this. No one apologized, but were stoic. My bird was 3 & 1/2 months old, totally an innocent victim of their neglect, and because of its tender age does not have a chance of survival. Now I have the cage, her playground and other things that I was not compensated for; once, even a closed bag of food with a receipt was not allowed to be returned. Brenda told me I shouldn't be in the business of owning a bird--I did nothing wrong!! I actually needed to finish the job they needed to do, which was to completely wean her! At this place they use the same syringe for all the birds. No wonder!

I was told multiple times that they could. I showed up. Our family found the perfect mini Goldendoodle. Filled out all the paper work and when I went to pay was told they couldn't enter the card manually. Working in IT, I knew that was a lie. I showed them how to do it on the clover Point of Sale system they use. They then told me that the owner wouldn't allow it to happen. I called Mr Hunt, the owner, and explained my situation and what I was told. He told me his employees know better and without saying, called me a liar and scammer. I told him to pull the recordings, but I doubt that will happen. He then offered his stores financial services which are absolutely ridiculous compared to what I currently have. They lost a substantial sale and a customer for life. I'm also aware that these front counter workers make money from sales. I feel bad that the girl helping my family missed out on this commission, but unfortunately the owner prevented that. I could tell she was heart broken. I should have read all of the ratings and took them to heart before driving this way. The only way Mr Hunt keeps this store running is by manipulating people into terrible financial deals.

I have a south-facing bluebird box on one of my front porch posts that is home to a dominant pair of bluebirds every year. Four broods are fledged every year from my box. This store sells live mealworms, which bluebirds (and many other birds) love. The live mealworms are sold in bags of 5,000 and 1,000 mealworms. They will teach you how to keep and feed the mealworms. Debbie, Judy, Ed, and Sue are great folks in this store; very friendly and helpful if you have questions. They are always interested in the bird species that you have coming to your yard. They have sales on selected products and bird feed about every 3 months or so. I bought one of their huge wind chimes; great, deep tones. Their store has lots of high quality products.
