Mel offered to take him in no questions asked, and make sure he didn't get into (too much) trouble. The resort itself is great, so much room to run around and rest (but mostly run around). Mel put as much love and care into creating the resort that she does into taking care of her pups! She kept in touch with us regularly, sharing pictures, and giving updates. We could tell he was having such a great time! Rates are also super reasonable for the VIP service our pup gets, with a discount for longer stays. We live in Kirkland and while it was a trek down to Rosedale, it was so worth it for our lil dude to have the time of his life! I made an appointment in two weeks for my dogs to get washed and groomed. They informed me to do…read moreso. I confirmed and marked everything like I was supposed to. The day of the appointment they texted me that I need a letter from my doctor stating that my dog had a heart condition which was a small heart murmur. Irritated that I wasn't informed at least a couple days before the appointment not the morning of. I rushed to try to get this paperwork for them. Instead of them calling me I called them to tell them that it's on its way. Have they received it yet? They then stated( in a rude/attitude way)well my dog 13 so he's considered a senior dog so they can't take him anyway. I said he just turned 13 three months ago. She began to state in the same tone well ma'am we consider him a senior and we are not able to take him. This is not Gig Harbor's policy. She keeps saying this is Petco's policy. This is very poor Customer Service considering they should've seen this two weeks ago when I booked the appointment or at least a few days before the appointment so let me know. Why do I have to call them to get this information from them is beyond me. Do not take your pets there unless you want to get the runaround and you might get canceled without knowing.. when I told them that this was not right they're only excuse was oh it's an automated service. And we have no control over it. Which should be a lie, considering someone's gotta put in the information for the automated service. Response to business: that is the same number that I called earlier and where I got this poor Customer Service from. Another automated service I suppose. You are not willing to talk to me about anything to help out. It just makes you look better. But I'm not gonna fall for that scheme and I hope nobody else reading this post falls for that either.

I felt like Mr. Magoo looking for my glasses ... she took me by surprise! But for some, 8 AM means the day is half over, and I understand that... her attitude was so rude and entitled .. I really couldn't believe it. When I told her I couldn't change the time I booked my dog... an afternoon appointment made a week prior, to THAT MORNING "as soon as I could get there"... whaaa? 'NO no no no. I cannot do that. I don't have a way to transport him this early, you woke us up here, *(no apology or response, just kept steamrolling ... she didn't take a breath... She was ARGUING with me! Calling me, at 7:58 AM..waking me up and ARGUING with me!!! Wanting me to come in sooner so she could get off earlier? Really, Petco? Once I got my coffee in me and put on my Mr. Magoo glasses, I called store back... got the manager named "Joe". He was very nice but didn't have the ability to confront the employee he was afraid of her I think... ahahaha... wow. Just bad, bad, bad, all the way around.
